I discovered E&E several years ago for professional and honest chimney cleaning. They really won me over a couple of years ago after a bigger HVAC service company tried to have a sub contractor come and high pressure/mark up a job on my moms chimney and they came to the rescue. Turns out instead of thousands of dollars worth of high pressure work the service needed was minimal and the job was done professionally with transparency and pictures by E&E. I also appreciated the tech answering questions and spending time to educate me. I use these guys for my personal home chimney cleanings and recently used them for a township U&O inspection. They get busy so schedule in advance! Thanks guys! Appreciate you! read more

Highly Recommend. Purchased a chimney insert wood burning stove. All the folks that work there were extremely helpful and responded immediately. The price was good for the work that needed to be done for proper install. I didnt realize how much work it took until I watched them do it. Install team did an amazing job. read more

Just went through a great gas fireplace installation. E&E was fantastic throughout the initial inspection, options to address issues, timely estimates, and seamless installation. Communication was timely and excellent. Strongly recommend you give them a chance to win your business. read more

Highly recommend!! We just moved into a new house and had them come out to sweep the fire place. When they arrived they said that it had not been used and there was no need to sweep it. They spent about 20 mins with us going over the details of our fireplace showing us how to use it. And then refused to charge us anything because they said no work was necessary! Harry was wonderful and informative. Will definitely be using them for all of my fireplace needs in the future. read more

I have a 13 yr old pellet insert in the fireplace. Stopped feeding Pellets to fire pot. I tried de loading pellets and used a bent clothes hanger to try to unstick it. Didn't work. Called E&E and the person sent seemed to do what I did but it started to feed again. He surmised that it must have freed up between the time of my call and his arrival so he didn't charge me. Several months later I used E&E to do the end of season chimney and pellet cleanup and the same person and did a commendable job at a reasonable price. E&E is family owned and operated read more

This is a difficult company to do business and even more frustrating to arrange a representative to come to your house to measure and begin the purchasing process. Let's begin by stating they only make measuring calls in the morning at 900am. Most people work. I made several attempts to have someone come at 400pm. E and E made no effort to help my situation. Moving forward , I bit the bullet and stayed home from work ,!waited for Mike to come at 930am . Guess what, Mike never showed! I called the office and stated he will not be able to make it ! Hello, do you want my business? I 'm done with them. It's a shame because I planned on spending my hard earned money with E and E. Folks, this company does not deserve your business ! They are not accommodating and appear unorganized in the office. read more

We had a real emergency situation with our gas boiler Mike Bob and Michele all worked as a team to resolve an odor issue. They sent the A team out to install a new liner in our chimney, Harry found a problem with the vent damper being installed incorrectly, many technicians have looked at over the years BUT he was first to notice it and correct the issue. E & E is the best Would not recommend Meenan chimney division! They are s,is to respond read more

Theyre no longer there. Warrington will answer the call(maybe) and make an appointment they wont keep anyhow. Move along. Not worth it. read more

This is a very difficult company to do business with and even more frustrating to arrange a representative to come to your house to measure. It's like they don't want your business. Went to them several years ago for a special brand of wood stove. When I told them where I lived they didn't want to do the work saying my Township was too difficult to deal with. I shelved the idea. Recently gave them another shot at it because they are the only distributor of the stove I want. Once again like pulling teeth to get them out. When I requested they change the location and resubmit the estimate because of an issue they raised with the location of the fresh air kit they disappeared. I'll take my $ elsewhere and buy a different stove. read more

My wife and I purchased an Harman 52i insert the other day from E&E. The sales folk took their time explaining the different options that we had and there was no pressure at all to purchase. The day of install the two gentlemen showed up on time, acted in a very professional manner, installed quickly, cleanly and without any issues. We are both extremely happy with the entire transaction and the stove we purchased. read more

I've had an appointment set up for a chimney sweep for 3 weeks now and the appointment is tomorrow and they just call me today to say the guy got sick and now they can't make it out until 11/11 and the appointment was set up for tomorrow 10/15?? Awful company and I'm a Realtor too so just told everyone at my office and all of our offices in an email to never use this company. Rude and awful service!!! Have some respect and at least try and fit me in somewhere or offer to call back if something opens up. BUT NOTHING AT ALL! read more

Reliable, quickly rectified issue and fairly priced for work done. It was just unfortunate that when you go to sell your home and need a chimney inspection then find out the township (Middletown Twp, PA) changed the code of our chimney insert from 5" which what it was to 6". Unfortunate because it was still in good condition, but in order to sell home needed to be changed. read more

Since I sit "behind a keyboard with nothing better to do" Still waiting for a call back to fix an issue. After they came out cleaned and inspected a pellet stove I lit it the next day and a fire started in it. They came back out and said there was a problem and they would contact me to come out and fix. That was 5 months ago. Very unreliable service. Of course the money we paid for the cleaning they took. The goal of the cleaning and inspection was for safety. I guess they don't take that very seriously. Do not use this service. Added 6/18/2019 I am editing my initial review because I cannot respond in an additional answer. Your facts are incorrect. I would never leave a negative review because I operate "from a keyboard " . My negative review was based on the facts. I purposely asked the technical how to run the unit because I wasn't Mr. Van Dyke. The technician at that time in December was very nice to explain to me how it worked and how safe it was. As matter of fact I brought up from the basement the pellets to have him show me how to fill, start and use the unit. I was happy at that time with what he did. The next day I did as he instructed. A fire ensued. I am not blaming him or you for the fire. I was concerned that after following his instruction and the fire that something was wrong with the unit not his instruction. I called to be safe and have someone look at it again. After that "free" appointment " I was told we would contact you to get it correct. Those are the facts. I never claimed to say he did anything wrong. I just wanted to get it fixed and if it was faulty I believe it would have been shown in his test of showing me how to use it and be safe. From the tone of your response I can tell you just dont care about the quality of work or the customer. I was very annoyed at the lack of response after being told you guys would contact us to go over options. It's OK. I will find another company who will communicate more professionally. read more

We hired E&E to do a chimney sweep for our wood burning stove. They discovered a major issue with our fireplace and how it was installed. It's unfortunate that our new wood burning stove is basically a fire hazard that was not installed up to code, but we are grateful that E&E discovered the issue. We ended up getting an inspection through them, and they did not charge us for the original chimney sweep. Thank you to the owner and the inspector for guiding us through our options moving forward. They are knowledgeable, reliable, and professional. I highly recommend them! read more

Not recommended at all. Their customer service was horrible. Waited a month to have them out and was treated like we did something wrong.

Steve came out to do a cleaning and did a great job! I would definitely recommend them and will be using them again!

Excellent company. Very friendly, courteous and professional. I would definitely recommend them.

We just had a gas fireplace installed. We did not have a fireplace at all, so E and E had to do the construction work as well as install the fireplace, and do the finish work. We could not be happier with the process and the results. They were right on schedule, and professional from start to finish. The contractors who work with E and E, Tretter and Sons, were skilled and meticulous in their work. The fireplace looks beautiful; the marble and mantle surrounds were installed perfectly. They wired and set up our TV over the mantle, so it was a complete job. The cleanup was excellent, leaving everything in great condition. We would recommend both E and E and the Tretters. read more

After having to wait several weeks for an appointment, the service men came out to clean and sweep the chimney and were done in twenty minutes. The job in the past was very thorough and completed to our expectations. This time it was very poorly done. Parts were not removed to thoroughly remove the soot and ash, creating a potential fire hazard! Here we are today wanting to start a fire and are cleaning it ourselves. Removing parts, brushing and vacuuming. Extremely disappointed in the service performed for the money we had to pay....for what?? Wasn't aware I had to sit, watch and make sure that they did the job we paid them to do. Shame on me I guess??? read more

used them when 1st moved into house, previous owner had illegal fireplace insert and they removed it, re-lined the chimney, put a futurist lid on it ( controled from inside ) and was just a pleasure to deal with, if you need work done , these folks are honest, reasonibly priced and done once , done right read more
