They were pleasant and professional, explaining everything in a level 2 inspection and cleaning. They took a lot of pictures inside and on the roof and explained in detail the things they found. We're very satisfied with their service and will certainly use this company again.

Mercer Chimney to the rescue! We called in MCCS for a level 2 inspection of our chimneys that an…read moreunnamed contractor had just finished working on during the previous weeks, including the complete replacement of the chimney servicing our furnace. We already pretty much knew shoddy, half-@ssed work had occurred after we climbed on the roof and inspected it ourselves. The previous contractor had really made a mess of things. MCCS' inspection revealed in detail the shoddy half-@ssed work by the previous contractor. The flue tile mortaring was found to be substandard and a metal liner was fitted. All of the flashing had to be removed and re-installed properly. The gaps between the chimney and house siding were properly caulked and sealed. The first contractor had promised waterproofing but MCCS' inspection found no waterproofing sealant had been applied at all. All in all Mercer Chimney did an excellent job making all the necessary repairs. They are professionals who do quality work. They will answer any questions you may have and office manager Holly is awesome. We only wish we had known about them and hired them in the first place.

Turns out instead of thousands of dollars worth of high pressure work the service needed was minimal and the job was done professionally with transparency and pictures by E&E. I also appreciated the tech answering questions and spending time to educate me. I use these guys for my personal home chimney cleanings and recently used them for a township U&O inspection. They get busy so schedule in advance! Thanks guys! Appreciate you!

Calling back the original roof contractor and informing them of the leak they said I needed to replace the siding of the house in the area of the chimney chase at the tune of $4000!! I then began calling other various contractors for this repair and was told all kinds of BS, from having to rebuild the chimney chase, having to wait as they were too busy, too cold (it was December) and told to wait until spring, etc. It was a bad leak and causing damage to my home not to mention the stress caused on me being at the mercy of contractors. So... I kept on searching contractors and came across Up On The Roof Chimney Sweep during I'm sure their busiest time of the year like everyone else's. However Up On The Roof Chimney Sweep promptly returned my call, took my information, promptly came to measure the chimney chase and came back with a reasonable price and did not take advantage of my situation! I scheduled the job with Up On The Roof Chimney Sweep and could not be happier with the quick prompt service and results that were received! It has been a full 2 months with some heavy gusty rains and no leak so this job was given the test of time! There is barely any worse feeling than being at the mercy of contractors when you have a situation that needs to be correctly fixed in a timely matter and not at a contractor's convenience. Up On The Roof Chimney Sweep not only fixed my chimney leak but relieved the awful stress on me from the start with their integrity, price, answering all my questions, and all the way to the finish product which looks great too! I highly recommend Up On The Roof Chimney Sweep and will definitely use again!!

My chimney chase blew off in a windstorm; difficult access, sloped ground and three stories high. The first quote from a different vendor was for $12+K to rebuild the whole chimney, but Brandon said they could just replace the chase and cap at a third of the cost. They assembled scaffolding to inspect the job and left it in place for 5-6 weeks while the part got manufactured, at no cost to me and probably inconvenient to them. I was a satisfied customer but 2 1/2 years later a freaky windstorm hit it again. When I reached out to Brandon he said the work was guaranteed and repaired it for a 2nd time at their own expense. I like the way these guys handled themselves and highly recommend them based on this experience.

Stay away from this business. They've cost us thousands of dollars to redo all the damage they did…read more We had a wood stove insert installed in 2019. After only four years the stove is now garbage. It was installed so badly that it's a miracle the house didn't go up in flames. They installed the stove with an electrical socket that had an incorrect clearance; there was no heat shield; the collar was unattached from the two flue pipes; the pipe was not insulated; the flue was not capped; and, the stove was installed with plywood visible in the mantle. We were told that they would get the permit but they didn't. I guess they knew it would never pass inspection. After all of that, they would not reimburse us for anything, not even the price of the stove itself. The stove manufacturer wouldn't honor the warranty because the installation was done so badly.
