This place is so awesome. Staff are very friendly, beautiful, and so lovely. You will see that they do take their job seriously. They dressed to impress too! I've been here few times and never experienced a bad moment. I even forgot my shoes here. They messaged me and then I picked it up after a week. It's still there. One time, I brought a duck nail sticker with me. Julie did my nails and she had fun placing that duck sticker on top of my nails. She was very patient to make it happen. I already gave up because I thought it was so complicated. We can't separate the stickers from the paper. She even whispered to the duck, 'Come on, ducky, quack!' Then, with her creative idea, she dipped the paper to the water. Voila! It worked! She even screamed, 'Oh, duckie likes water!' I laughed so hard to that remark. She's really cool! The last polish that I had was cool as well. Bella did my nails this time. Color changes! Purple at day time and blue in night time! I think that is so cool. I really liked it. Getting your nails done is pretty expensive. But if the nail salon is equipped with an amazing staff like them, each penny will be worthy. Stephanie left and they didn't bother to tell me. Instead they had some guy do my pedi. It was super rushed, crooked and a complete waste of money. He sat me down and had me in and out faster than the ladies already sitting down in the middle of their pedicures. He didn't scrub my feet and I'm hecka prego. Can't fix my crooked toenails because I cannot bend that far anymore:/ Never go back again. So... I had to find a new place: I tried Rosehip on Mowry and omg! Stephanie is working there now. I walked in at 6 on a Thursday night. I was greeted by all. I needed a French pedicure and full set. A young gal took me. I had the exfoliating pedicure. She gave a great massage. What I really appreciated is that they use tub liners in their foot spa. She did my nails, with a design, quickly and painlessly - no burns! It seems to me they use good quality products as well. My nails lasted five weeks and still no chips or breakage. They close at 7 but she finished around 7:20 - pretty good timing! Service was superb. Cleanliness is above average. This gal sat in the very back on the right. The second time I came in just for a fill, I got a pretty poor job by someone else. I was burned repeatedly. The polish was splotchy. The gel only lasted a couple weeks. I'll just be sure to call ahead for the first gal. I'm just really bad at making appointments because I never know what my schedule is going to be. read more

So I really enjoyed the first 2 times I came here being my experience with another place left me with a bad taste in my mouth lol.. This place knew exactly what I wanted with me having to be too descriptive. They were fast and efficient and also friendly. They continue to be friendly every time I go. However, the last time I went I didn't really feel like I got what I paid (or tipped) for. One of my nails are already sensitive from the abuse of a previous salon and I have always explained this to every shop for fear they might rip off my still healing nail But anywho, they didn't abuse my nail this last time but there's a reason for this part of the review later. Now they are quick but there is a big difference between quick and rushing. And this last time they were rushing through my manicure. The polish didn't dry right so it looked wavy on some nails and even started peeling a few days after I had gotten my nails. I just knew something wasn't right with how my nails were done this time. And I get a gel manicure every time so not only is it not cheap but the polish should never buckle or peel. So now, not even a full 2 weeks in before getting my next fill and I already have 1 broken nail and the peeling gel polish. Now back to the weak nail. The first time I came there I had to get a nail fixed because of the last place. The way they took the old acrylic off was a bit rough for me but we got through it. But to have to go through that again with this same nail seems like pure torrture (although it is becoming a healthier nail). Hopefully this next time won't be truly tragic or so will be the tip Update: so I won't be coming back to this nail salon any longer after discovering this place was doing things in a very un-clean way in order to possibly save money. Aside from the old gel polish that would peel after less than a week of getting a fill I also started noticing some of my real nails were starting to separate from the gel. So when I asked the guy working there about he just glued it back together with super glue and said it was okay and patted my hand. Well, after going back to my original salon back home the ladies are always pleasant and professional. How ever, when I brought up the separating nails she told me that that's not good because bacteria can grow there causing nail fungus and other complications. Not quite sure why this place got such terrible ratings. I made an appointment a few hours before for a gel manicure. First time getting my nails done here and I arrived 10 minutes before my 6pm appointment. I was warmly greeted by ALL the employees, including the ones that had customers. I was seated right away and Trang was my nail technician for today.I absolutely loved how personable Trang was, she made my manicure such a positive experience and I can't wait to go back. She called me by my first name the whole time she was doing my nails. She also kept the conversation going and remembered details that I told her 30 minutes before. She made me laugh and this was the first time I've had a genuine conversation with any one who has ever done my nails. Trang was very thorough with my cuticles and went back several times to clean up the lines. Like I said before, I got a gel manicure in a classic red color. There are so many colors to choose from and I would even say the off brand they use (Harmony soak-off gel polish) works better than the real shellac! Next time I want to try one of the custom designs, a lady got sparkly red gel nail polish with a custom little snowflake and snowman (how adorable!). $25 for my gel (shellac-like) manicure, which is such a great deal! Extremely disappointed. I haven't gotten my nails done in two months because I wanted them to be a bit healthier before doing so. I went and just wanted normal powder not the dip because it tends to come off my nails pretty quickly. I asked for the colors and there was only 20 colors to pick from. When I asked if there was more he said "not right now" I went on to tell him "this isn't my first time here and I picked from a bigger selection before" he didn't respond... he goes on to do my nails and first he shorten the length of my nails then rounded Them. When I originally asked to keep the length and nail shape, couldn't do anything about that now. He went on to ask how they looked and I said they look extremely thick and he said "thats how it's supposed to look" I said " this is definitely not my first time getting my nails done" I felt like he thought I was stupid and he didn't want to put effort into doing my nails. By the end I asked him why there was so much space between the powder and my cuticle and he went on to say that that's how he had to do them. By then I was over it. I won't be going back if he's going to be the one doing my nails. (Lee is his name) The picture just show off they look from the shape to how wide they are. A visit at Amazing Nails is always a relaxing experience. The friendly staff ensures great and comfortable service. They conform to your needs-- customized nail art/design. I just got the Soak-Off Gel Manicure today, my nails look so dainty and I feel chip-resistant. It amazingly dries up way faster than the traditional nail polish. The Soothe 'n Smooth Pedi, which I also had today, left my feet feeling softer and smoother, although my skin could have used a more brusque scrubbing! The place is fairly clean. They use disposable hard plastic lining on the foot tubs and they add scent to the warm water for a more relaxing feel-- scents like eucalyptus, peppermint, lavender, etc. The salon is usually open until 7:30pm but just in case you are running late, you can call them up to accommodate you. Julie helped me out today and she turns out to be the new owner of the place. She was nice and very accommodating. I went in yesterday for a full set and was helped by Tina. It was about 1:00PM and on a Tuesday, so there was no wait. I wanted gel coffin nails in matte maroon, and that's exactly what I got. I jump around when it comes to nail salons since I haven't found one I'm entirely satisfied with, and I noticed their prices are a little higher here than others in the vicinity. Their acrylics are on the thick side, but I don't really have a preference. She got nailpolish on my finger, and while other nail salons that I've been to go out of their way to remove it, she didn't bother even though she saw it. Since she was nice and efficient, I didn't really mind. It took about an hour to finish everything, which is about average for me. It costed $45 before the tip. APPOINTMENTS: My mom had an appointment for a pedi and she was made to wait a little over 30 minutes to get started. I don't really understand what is the point of bothering with scheduling if you will not honor appointment times. CLEANLINESS: The lady working on my mom's manicure handled money without gloves, then put the money on the towel which she was using to wipe my mom's hands. Now, I don't doubt that many places follow bad sanitary practices, but that is still unacceptable in my book. THE WORK PRODUCT: the pedi and mani looked clean, nothing amazing but decent work PRODUCT PUSHING: Nancy will definitely push products onto you. She tried to upsell my mom for a mani when she came in for a pedi but because she was so late to start the appointment, there wasn't enough time for both services. When mom returned the next day for a mani & told the lady that she only wanted a regular and not a shellac, she was no longer treated in a friendly manner. Overall: This place is average, but nothing amazing as the name would suggest. We will be taking our business elsewhere where sanitary procedures are followed in the future. read more

Decent experience. I've been here twice and both times were okay. I get acrylic French tips. I don't remember how much it was the first time, but the second time it was $45. I had a guy do my nails the second time. He was very nice about showing me the different types of pink I could get. However I told him I wanted square oval nails and I wanted them to be short. When he cut the fake tips, I said I wanted it shorter. He said when he files it down, it'll get shorter. After putting on the powders and filing it down, he asked me if everything was okay. I said I wanted it shorter. He use the machine filer and my nails lost the square oval shape. There was some pain and I bled at the skin. Now my nails are too square. There's even a bubble on my ring finger. Overall, ok experience I guess. I wish he listened better. read more

The pedicure itself wasn't great but not bad. I got a pedicure for my kid and I requested that there be a design placed on her big toe. I asked the service provider if there were any pictures that I could reference for what nail art they could do. They promptly told me that there weren't any pictures I could reference but there was a charge of five dollars For nail art. Then they proceeded to tell me that the only design they could do was a flower and that if she didn't want a flower they could only do a sticker. I even showed them pictures from their yelp page and they said it would have to be a sticker. I asked and asked and asked multiple times how the sticker would stay on and not come out and they assured me that it would last very long. I even told them she is a child and therefore would play a lot and put on shoes a lot and they still assured me it would stay on a long time. I went in on a Saturday morning, and made an appointment for an acrylic set. The job was done poorly, the lady took 20 minutes to just apply the tips and the tips were lifting. She didn't care, she continued to put the acrylic powder with the tips lifting. 1 week later, the nails are popping off. I got my first set of acrylics with Tina and she did so good! I was so nervous about getting them because I'm a total gel girl but I was so happy with how they turned out. I showed them a picture they had done on their yelp and they did exactly that. With the ombre, acrylic flower, and all the diamonds, this set cost me 70$ while my nieces set of black gel acrylics with an almond shape cost 40$. I came to this place two times to do the gel. The first time, my nails look ok. However, that was not the way I wanted them to be. Also, I got hurt because the lady wasn't attentive( few of my fingers were bleeding after she done with my nails). Before the gel, she had to cut my nails, but she didn't cut them nicely. The shape was ugly, but since the gel would cover my nails, I didn't say anything. I decided to give this place a second chance, so I went back. I chose anther lady to do my gel refill, and I will never go back again. She didn't pay attention while she was doing my nails. She started by shaving off the top layer of the gel. Then, she used a nail filer to smooth out the top of the nails, and she shaved again. She kept talking to others and didn't even look at my nails while she was shaving. Therefore, few of my nails were barely gone and it HURTS a lot. I'm not kidding. It REALLY HURT. When I told her it's hurt, I thought she would be more careful, but she didnt. Four of my nails were barely gone, and she didn't even apologize for it. I was very upset. I gave a lot of tips because I don't want to be mean, but I'm sure I will never go back again. This is a convenient and average nail shop. I have never seen the techs most people rave about since I usually schedule with 1-2 day notice and they tend to be booked up. I have seen about five other techs for gel and acrylic sets + pedicures. Prices are average for the area and they are pretty easy to schedule with if you don't care who you see. Acrylics - at least in my experience - are average at best. I had three sets done here and they all turned out too chunky with a weird angle and filed longer than I asked for. There was no real design worth noting, even though I always ASK for a design. Also the last person I saw was really rough and actually cut the false nails WITH SCISSORS rather than a nail clipper, before filing them down. Um THAT HURTS. A LOT. Gels were ok but again, no design offerings worth writing home about. I do like how many colors they have to choose from, although the brands are pretty average (you will not find any of the less harmful and longer-lasting brands here). Pedicures are at a good price but every single one I had done here was smudged. They do not have a dryer and unless you want to sit there for 45 minutes before leaving, it is likely to smudge before you get to the car. Also no one who did my pedicures ever offered a design beyond a generic (ugly) flower, which is not my style. Overall, this is just a good standby Plan B salon if you don't need anything fancy or detailed. read more

I'm writing this review for my appointment yesterday with Tina. Normally I go and see Julie but since my sister and I wanted to go together, I thought I'd take Tina while she see Julie since I've seen Tina's work in pictures here on yelp and found it to be excellent. I had my heart set on this subtle nail design/colors that I found on Pinterest. Tina suggested to go with the dipped powder instead of a regular manicure which I originally wanted because she said it'll be "better". That was fine with me since I've tried it before and liked it. However, instead of going with the colors I really wanted (off white, light pink and purple) Tina suggested this hot pink and somewhat grey sparkle. I appreciated her suggestions and what she thought was pretty, but for whatever reason I don't know, I didn't say no. To cut it short, my nails are totally different from what I wanted. The color, design and everything. I'm not a fan of pink that's why I wanted a subtle tone of it. Plain and simple, I should've been able to say "no", but at the same time, it's okay to suggest something else but I'm pretty sure you should listen to what the customer wants and not force something else. I'm not taking anything away from Tina though, her work was very neat and clean. But now I'm just reminded to always make an appointment with Julie, no one else. read more
