The Path of Life Garden and Sculpture Park blew me away…read more.. As the website describes: a 14-acre landscape where you can experience the great circle of life while traveling through 18 unique sculptures and pieces of art. Inspired by several gardens in Europe, the installations symbolize the journey from birth to death and beyond. So cool, don't mis this if you're in the area. My nephews (8 & 10) & I signed up for the tubing trip this morning. When they dropped us off, we…read morewere told that it would be best if we walked out a ways to the second cove in order to get the best current out into the water. We did that, with our cooler raft in tow. However, i ended up pushing my nephews in their tubes for about a half mile (past the second cove) before we were able to get going. This took about an hour and a half. About 3/4 the way through our time on the water, we heard thunder. I realized they hadn't covered what to do in the case of bad weather in the briefing. So thankfully I was able to call the company from my tube & they advised us to get out of the water if we heard thunder & wait 15 min before getting back in. We heard thunder in and off for about 45 min so stayed out of the water on some rocks while we waited. I felt like we were bothering the company when they called & they didn't seem at all concerned, telling me it was a passing shower. After we returned to the water, we saw some lightening so I tried getting us over to shore. The water was getting choppy & we weren't going anywhere so I got out of my tube & pulled all of us to shore. We built a small shelter using our tubes & tried to stay dry but at this point, it was pouring. I called the company again & they said there was nothing they could do & couldn't come pick us up based on our location. I checked my GPS & we were .6 miles away from our stopping location. The company told us to start walking back along the shore. We did that and along the way my nephew slipped on the rocks because it was still pouring. Finally, when we made it back, we had to drag all the gear up the hill (which was mentioned during the briefing but we weren't expecting to do this in the pouring rain. When we got back, I expressed my disappointment that they'd send anyone out with conditions like that expected as I truly felt our lives were in danger. The woman said no one was blaming anyone and I corrected her. Yes, I blame the company for putting our lives in danger. She explained that they had no idea about the weather conditions and that this system just popped up out of nowhere. I can understand that but at no point did anyone offer to come & help us. They could have easily walked from where they were & helped us walk back. I would not recommend this company due to the lack of safety measures & how isolated we felt when conditions got bad.

I'm impressed with the snow blowing operation, the ease of use and price of the epic northeast value pass (student version). I got it last minute meaning the day before the epic passes closed and it was less than $500! (I know it was even a bit less if you purchased it ahead of time just FYI). There are three different lodges and one is at the top and two are at the bottom. Had to activate my epic pass and prove my student status. Get there early if you are activating a pass on a weekend! (This is a very manual process and took awhile).

Hikers find a refuge at almost 3,000 feet while skiers and riders enjoy a warmup, food, beer, a rest, and awesome views. Towards the end of ski season, the expansive deck comes to life and the Lodge becomes a huge barbecue place. The large lodge is three stories tall. The basement has a huge footprint but it's not open to the public. Instead, it's used for storage and employee purposes. The main level has a cafeteria, a bar, a large seating area, and a huge hearth with a live fireplace. The third floor is a giant seating room and commands amazing views of the Green Mountains. The entire group of ski areas from Stowe to Killington, Magic, Stratton, Bromley, Mount Snow and Haystack are visible from the top. A giant clock-shaped dial with a rotating arrow guides the curious to all the mountains in view. Although a cafeteria style place, service at the Summit is superb. Friendly, efficient. The Summit also serves as an optimum wedding place as the outside area hosts numerous weddings in the warm months.

What a fun, adventurous river tubing experience for the whole family. Some parts of this river is…read moreslower, some parts faster moving, a good variety and speed. We arrived around 12:30 noon, paid, everyone got a wristband, took a tube (and life vests for the younger kids), loaded with the tubs onto the yellow school bus that took us about a 10 minutes ride to the upper part of river. By the time we got into the river to start, we can see the water rising quickly from the release of the water from the upper part of the dam. (No point to come too early as the water level was too low so you're not going fast down the river, until the water rises.) And that's where the fun & adventure starts! This place was well run, very affordable price (compared to other places nearby), the family running the place nice. There are 2 clean porta potties and lots of tables where everyone can have lunch after. Great fun to social distance and be in the water and the great outdoors. We brought strings to tie some of the tubes together for the kids. And we saw some people even bring their own paddles. Unlike some places, they aren't strict with what type of shoes you wear (if you want to at all). I was hesitant to take my family there due to some negative reviews but this place didn't disappoint. Highly recommend and we'll surely come back.

We went with 6 friends and had a blast. You can either strap the tubes onto your car yourself, drive up to the starting spot and tube down the river, and then they shuttle you back to your car, or they can drive you to the starting spot. It was about a 1-1.5hr tubing ride which was a perfect length. Had truly a great time, and ended with hot dogs and root beer floats!! Really a great find and a great deal, and happy to support a small family business.
