Cons are that, no floaties are allowed, only coast guard approved PFDs are allowed, no skipping stones, no horseplay, etc. there also porta-potties in season. Did I say picture perfect? Idyllic. This is the best New England has to offer. Yes it is residents only but you can bring guests.

Apparently it's legal to smoke in the open here. The beach is kind of a mixture of dirt and sand, more dirt than sand. The shallower parts were clear enough but wade out a little deeper and it's murky. Older reviews talk about the smell there. Well, to be fair it smells marine. Look across the water and you see cattails, so it's a little marshy. So, it has subtle sulfur odor. Went during the week so parking not an issue. Maybe 60 people there total? Oh and my kid got a leech on his ankle. Granted, there's probably leeches in all the lakes in NH.

Trust me, there are a LOT of us that go to Skip and have excellent experiences. To set the stage: I have had several lake boats (mostly I/O Mercruiser) and wake/surf boats (mostly inboard V-Drive stuff with Ballast systems) that Skip has worked on, and he has a guy for EVERYTHING. They've done maintenance, winterization, interior cleaning, exterior buffing, upholstery repair, instrument repair (including cruise control) and i have been AMAZED at the pricing and turn around time. One time, my truck was in the shop, and Skip himself drove the boat over to my house so I could have it for a holiday weekend. I have found this operation to go above and beyond in every particular case, and I feel that a fair price is always charged. I would not hesitate to take any boat you've got over here, they got some serious expertise and will get you straightened right out. This isn't a fake review, I am a real person that hates to see Skip have only ONE negative review up on Yelp; it's a bad representation of what this operation is really about. Just most of these boat guys that are satisfied with Skip's service aren't going online to write reviews, they're out on their boats enjoying life.

Period of time, he would apologize and them give a new eta and then blow through that time. He would do it again and again. I gave him many opportunities only because he was local and in town but after this last time going many months with that same old line of saying one thing and not delivering and stringing it out and stringing it out and stringing out, I will absolutely never bring my boat to him again and don't recommend you do either. I saw multiple other mad customers he was either talking to in person or over the phone while I was waiting to cash out or dropping off, so it's not just me. Do yourself a favor and just stay away and find another reputable marine service shop.

However, this is a dealership and there is a level of markup associated with their labor and parts...it's how they make money. Still, my experience was positive. I've been waiting for my boat since last summer. Raj, my salesman, has been great. The rest of the staff are positive and enjoyable folks through my interactions...I enjoy when they poke fun at Raj (sorry Raj haha). I noticed issues from the factory, they took care of the critical stuff and will take care of the rest when I bring the boat back in. It was easy, and they were attentive to my concerns and friendly. They handle 800 boats every year with huge storage facilities, heated and unheated. Bought a new…read moreboat from them 13 years ago, a moderate sized SeaRay. Good service overall, with some issues 2 years of the 13. But, those were well handled. NOT this year, as I requested my boat mid-May with down payment as I usually do. They could not perform until after memorial day! I have heated storage and pay for full service of my boat every year. But being a long term well paying customer is now ignored. When my boat was not ready at Memorial day weekend, I then asked for a short delay for delivery (service could continue). They did nothing to ready my boat. I am now waiting another 1.5+ weeks, hopefully to get the boat. New ownership is not able to keep up with heated storage and full service. I would buy a boat somewhere else if you are expecting loyalty in service.
