There is one park entrance with a few parking spaces on Oak Hill Road, and another entrance on Harvard Road. Upon entering at Oak Hill Road, we followed the red trail up to Lookout Rock where we found a beautiful view overlooking the surrounding areas. Nearby, there was the highest point in all of Littleton. We then followed another trail to Tophet Chasm. The trails were well maintained, the park was not crowded (saw 3 other people there in a total of 2 hours), and the scenery was beautiful. Tucked away in Littleton center, this place is a gem. We printed out a trail map before heading over, which turned out to be necessary since it's pretty easy to lose your way if you change trails. The blue trail was the hardest - which lead us up and down hills on trails with little grooming. The ground was a little wet at times, which in combination with the leaves on the ground made it difficult to balance at times. Overall, this park is great. The red trail is lined with gravel and by far the easiest trail. The yellow trail is the longest, and the other trails weave in between. Even if you're not a hiker or avid exerciser, this park is great for everyone and has trails for all ability levels.

We took the Chasm trail but the trail off it to the chasm itself was closed for repairs. Hit the Summit trail and didn't see an overlook at the top, just an ugly concrete water tower. My now my knee was bothering me as I am not a spring chicken, so we went back down to the parking lot. Looked at the map and saw it was quite a ways beyond the water tower to the lookout. I probably could have made it to the outlook and back if I hadn't gone off on the chasm trail. Maybe this is a better site for younger folks, though they did have reading glasses at the kiosk for older folks like me, which I've never seen anywhere before and which, along with clearly marked trails, got them a second star.

This is the shorter side- but still long enough of a hike. It took about an hour each way. Beautiful at the top and we had a 360 of New Hampshire and Massachusetts. It was kept SO clean that it was just so beautiful. When hiking, we saw wildlife, so just be prepared. Recommendation: bring a lunch with you and go mid day. It's beautiful to sit at the top of the mountain and eat!

I was outraged, to be honest and decided to write my own review, taking the time out of my life to do so. We have done business with Biggart for several years and have had nothing but great service and knowledge. I note Julie H. wrote her review in December. Well, most marina people take time off around the holidays and in winter months as they work so much in the summer when the rest of us are frolicking on the lakes. Biggart tells you that he is unavailable for the month of January, especially, as he and his family vacation then, when things are not busy. At any rate, we restored an old 1957 boat and we were hoping that our old motor could be spared, we did not protest when we were billed for some hours of work on the old motor as they HAD to do things to test the motor and their time is worth something. We could have insisted that it be fixed, but we were honestly told that it was not going to be in good running condition for long. We chose to scrap the old motor and Biggart assisted us in finding a new motor for our boat and also putting a device on it to adapt a longer shank to the boat. They installed it perfectly and we had absolutely no trouble or problems. They have winter stored our new boats for us and they have done a fabulous job, they even built it's own wooden frame so that shrink wrap is put on top well and there are no gullies where water comes in. They store our batteries, marked with our names on them, for us and re-install them. They have winterized the engines and done it right. The boats have been available when we asked them to be and we always get phone calls back when we leave messages. i don't know what this one person expects, but I feel Biggarts has performed above and beyond all expectations, politely and well done each time. Years of business connections and honesty are what draws us back to them again and again. Guess there is always one sour grapes person out there, but I highly recommend them without question.

You need to be careful to watch the trail markers, and the Wapack Trail has some very rocky parts, but it's a great hike. Love that there's a gift shop at the top & latrines at both the top & bottom. There's also the escape route that you could walk down the auto road if you needed to. My Garmin said I burned 800 calories. Awesome! Beautiful hike & healthily too.

The Wapack trail (1.4 miles) involves lots of scrambling on rocks and over roots. We hiked on a misty, drizzly October morning. The visibility was not great: all we could see was mist. But coming from the mountain desert, we loved seeing the ferns and the foliage and the huge trees and all the granite. We didn't come prepared with real hiking boots, but our sneakers were grippy enough to handle climbing up the rocks, even in light rain. We enjoyed climbing to the almost-top of the fire tower and admiring the view from above. The informational signs about the raptor migration near the top were neat. Our $12 admission for three people in one car was just right.
