This was a nice little lake for the kiddos to enjoy . Plenty of parking and a snack shop were sweet extras .

Call a Rabbi. The birds need blessings. Insanely beautiful beach, overall. For real. Probably one of the most top-rated beaches throughout New England. Wear a swimsuit here. Lounge here. Catch a ray. Hang 10, if you must. Phone a friend? Connect. Or disconnect, whatever. Sand was fluffy, not rocky. Tide was low, not too dank. 'One last hurrah for the summer,' I said to the pals. Store near entrance. Ice cream was available for purchase. Parking = pay by app.

I've been living on the North Shore for almost 9 years now, and today was my first time at Wingaersheek Beach. I can gladly say this is now my favorite beach ever!! We got there around 11 AM and stayed until 4 PM, and honestly, I could've stayed even longer. If you're not a Gloucester resident, parking is $40+ AND you need to make a reservation in advance. Personally, I actually like this because it helps keep the beach from getting overly crowded, especially since it's a smaller beach and, in my opinion, the best one! They also have a small food spot with burgers, hot dogs, salads, ice cream, lemonade, iced coffee, and more. There's also a little shop with beach essentials like chairs, sandcastle toys, towels, etc., which is super convenient. And of course, they have bathrooms! Such a beautiful and lovely beach. Seriously, I'm already looking forward to coming back!

If someone has told you that this is a beautiful beach park with fabulous views, they were dead wrong. If you think it might be a great place to fire up a grill and relax, you are sorely mistaken. If you got the crazy idea in your head that this would be the perfect way to spend a summer day, I say, no way, Jose. This place is not for you. Keep on trucking in your monstrous SUV. The fried dough at Old Orchard Beach is calling out to you.

Not seeing the ocean in over two years I was in desperate need to have that sand between the toes moment I had been missing. From where I was staying I had many choices of beaches to discover, but I am so glad that it was this one that I did discover. Getting here was a bit tricky for me, but with determination anything is possible. When I arrived to the area where everyone was parking, I see that I was not the only one that had the idea to head the beach that day. I parked and started trekking my way to the beach. It's a beautiful short walk from where you park. Along the way you get to see a lot of the great people that live in the area. Each one of them at least smiled at me as we passed. One even said that it is beautiful back there and I was going to enjoy myself. She did not lie. Like many said, this is an old fort. So there is some history to this place. Which makes it that much more of a beautiful place. As soon as I reached the beach area I didn't look around much, I just b-lined it to the beach, kicked off my shoes and stood there and waited for that rush of water over my feet. The type where you feel shocked because of the temperature difference, but one that relieves all the stress you have been feeling. Nearing sunset this place affords some pretty great pictures to be taken. The pier allows you to venture out onto the water without having to swim your way out. Even though the water is a bright green you can see all the way to the bottom. Man, this is exactly what I needed on a vacation. Sun, sand and surf. Breathing in that salty air really cleared my mind.
