Just had an excellent shellac manicure and regular pedicure here. Thuy is very detail oriented, and did an efficient but thorough job. Their color range was good: full range of DND in both regular and gel/shellac, tons of OPI in regular (and about 10 in shellac/gel - but they cost an extra $3). Edit: After 10 days, most of my nails were lifting at the sides - I believe this is because the shellac polish was applied to close to the nail beds and side of nails. The pedicure is still holding up wonderfully with zero chipping though! read more

I go there for pedicures only as I'm already established somewhere else for hair cuts. I get excellent care and my toenails never looked better. I'm usually not one to get my nails did because they tend to get chipped relatively quickly, but a couple of my girlfriends wanted to come, so we stopped by during our lunch break. I guess prices are reasonable compared to other places? $25 for basic shellac mani; $35 for designed shellac mani. To add a design to ONE (yes, just one) nail, it's +$5.. so might as well go for +$10 and get designs on ALL the nails. I asked for a relatively simple dual-colored design (http://cdn.buzznet.com/assets/users16/callinamarie/default/33-pastel-nail-ideas-spring--large-msg-136390945984.jpg).. let's just say mine does not look like the photo. AT. ALL. The lines were crooked and overall, the ladies' skill levels just seemed to be lacking. If I could give 0 stars I would. I had gotten a pedicure and came in because my toe had been hurting all night. I had an bad ingrown nail. I came in the next morning to get it taken out and after waiting almost 30 minutes they tell me I have to get another pedicure to get it taken out. They couldn't just take out my ingrown. What a gret mani/pedi experience! I'm a busy gal and find it hard to squeeze in time to do my own nails much less get to a salon! Today I called Amazing Cuts to see if they could squeeze me in today and they said to come right over! (Saturdays and Sundays are much quieter than weekdays at this shop) The gal paid great attention to detail and didn't rush. She listened to a few special requests I had and shaped my nails to the exact length and shape I asked for. I can't TELL you how many times a manicurist has not done a good job on giving me a smooth 'square round' shape and I had to come home and finish it off myself (that's part of the reason I never get polish on my nails). And the price was right! $30 with no polish...I'm sure it costs a bit more with polish. But I've paid $30 and been much less satisfied at other shops. AND I got to watch several great cooking shows on the Food Network while being pampered. A twofer! read more

Hubby liked the haircut from the woman so he got a mani and pedi and the elderly woman cut him not once but twice. Once on his toe because she was distracted and then you would think she would be more careful but she cut him again on his nails. The owner did nothing about it after he complained about getting cut twice. Never coming back. It's a shame because we live nearby. read more

The previous hair/nail salon that cared for my nails (acrylics) were only interested in my $$ not the health of my nails, many of my nails under the acrylic, were infected with fungus! When the manager at Amazing Cuts saw my nails she would not apply acrylic or gellish on my nails until my nails were healthy again; this took 6 months! My nails are now beautiful! I go every two weeks ( my choice) and now get many compliments on my lovely nails! Their pedicures are also awesome, they keep their salon so clean & use plastic disposable pedicure basins for each customer! Amazing Cuts accepts walk-in's, are open on Mondays, and closed Tuesdays! This is a bonus since most salons are closed Mondays! I highly recommend this very friendly, professional salon! read more

I've had my eyebrows waxed here and threaded, haircuts and manicures. They have always done a nice job for super cheap, the ladies are friendly. My manicures last up to 4 days which is better than any other place I gone too and believe me I use to live at the salon! I've only gotten a manicure and pedicure here but they were both great! The salon is brand new and the way they sanitize the foot bath/spa chairs is great! Its a fresh set up for each new customer. My pedicure was fab and relaxing and the polish lasted forever. I also had an acrylic fill which was also great and held up perfectly for over three weeks. I got my legs waxed, mani & pedi. I highly do not recommend getting waxed here. First, it's really slow because they use the spatula method of waxing. I prefer sugaring,but I was hoping they had at least a roll on wax. Anyway, she missed so many spots, I had to tell her to do it over again, but she put the waxoff cream anyway. She also spread the wax & pulled the strip in the wrong direction. I ended up shaving the missed areas. As for the nails, one lady worked on my mani & another on pedi. Pedi turned out alright, though there was some polish on my skin. As for the mani, it went well but I noticed it was not smooth on two of the nails (bubbles) she noticed it but did not fix it, unprofessional, wouldn't you want to be sufficient & thorough at your job & keep your customers happy? The was no one else there, unfortunately I had to tell her to fix it. I may return for nails but definitely not for waxing. They do use a plastic container to place in the basin for the feet, but I should inquire is it reusable, if so, is it thoroughly cleaned, plus i wonder about the nail tools, I've been to places where it's throughly sanitized & even autoclaved. read more

Yesterday I got a really great mani pedi. It cost me $30 and they really cleaned up my feet and hands. I had two women work on me. And I was done within the hour. My nails are always short because I work on a computer daily and do gardening on the weekend and other dirty projects. My hands look great! Just discovered this place last week from a friend and I am VERY HAPPY. As a retired Salon Owner/Spa worker I am picky about where I go and how they do a service. I had an acrylic fill and went back today for a pedicure and threading. I had a most thorough pedicure with extra attention to my cuticles, I went for an eye brow threading but ended up with my face threaded as well as my under arms How does it get any better than that? Not only are all licenses on display, but proper sanitation is practiced!!!!!!! Came here for a mani/pedi and a haircut for my boyfriend and i couldn't be happier ! It was $13 for my boyfriends haircut and $50 for my mani/pedi (a regular mani/pedi was $30 but i got french tip and gel on my manicure). Very pleased with the service and location. The service was great, we walked in and they helped us right away. It wasn't too busy, which was amazing. The lady who did my toes was super nice, talked to me and took her time with my feet. Same with the manicurist, she also took her time and was very detailed with my nails which i loved. I didn't feel rushed even when there were other people waiting. Bad service, I've been waiting for an eyebrow wax for 40 minutes now and two people just walk-in appt for a mani-pedi just to be served before me. The two ladies that were just sitting around instantly got up to help them. UPDATE: it's been an hour and four walk-ins in total have came to get their nails done and a hair cut but yet I still can't get a simple eyebrow wax. SECOND UPDATE: she fucked up my eyebrows. They have never been this thin in my whole fucking life, I look like I stole someone's brows in the 90s. read more

What a horrible experience!! First off I asked how much a full set with gel was and she said 25$ once my nails were finished she was arguing with me that it was 35$. Though I left only paying the 25$ I wouldn't of paid 10$! The color was splotchy. I reminded her to work on my cuticles and she did not touch them once. Also my nails are all crooked and extending onto my skin even after I asked her to fix them. I would never recommend this place to anyone. read more

This was my go to place when it belonged to a prior owner. I liked the hairdressers back then who seemed to know how to cut and color my hair in a style that really suited me. This place has new owners now and I can really tell the difference. Today I got a hair cut. Overall it was a nice job, completed in reasonable time. I'd give 3, maybe 3.5 stars, but the hairdresser grazed the back of my neck with the electric shaver and I ended up with a razor burn. (That never happened when the prior hairdressers worked on me!) The prices aren't inexpensive, and the staff isn't the most gregarious, but if your regular hair place isn't available, this place might be worth a look. Just tell them to go easy on the electric shavers. read more

Up until about 6 month ago I loved this place. They upgraded and everything went down hill. They raised their prices because they got new pedicure chairs. Ok? But I went in there today for a pedicure and was grossed out by all the FLIES! They were everywhere. They were on the manicurist, on me and one of the employees was using a towel to try and kill them. Gee, I wonder if it was because they had the doors open? Not once did they close the doors. I go often enough that I know who is good and experienced and who is new and I definitely avoid the new ones because I don't like the results and don't like them learning on me! If I could give ZERO stars I WOULD!!!! This place was F bomb HORRIBLE!!!!!!! I walked in and asked how much it was to have my gel nail taken off. I was told the amount and the lady who was the only one who spoke English asked if I wanted to have it done now. I told her yes. I sat down in the chair and another lady came over spoke in another language to the English speaking lady yelled back and forth a bit then sat down and started on my nails. She cut my cuticles three times due to her being rough. I flinched all three times and she just smiled and said sorry. She finished roughing up the gel and put on the foil. Then three fingers into it another lady came over, spoke in another language and my nail lady got up and started a pedicure on a walk in. Then this lady rushed through my fingers so fast! Then cut down two nails. She didn't do anything else. She just took that gel off and told me to go wash. While washing, I noticed that gel was still around my edges. I washed and sat back down thinking she was going to file them smooth, due to the scraping which made my nails very sharp, rough and flaky. She yells from across the room "YOU DONE". I sat there with a confused look on my face and noticed now everyone who worked there was busy now with another customer and none of them made eye contact with me. So it's not like anyone would have wanted to finish what they had started now. I should have just walked out but I went to the counter and the lady who started my nails told me another price. I told her that the other lady said it was the previous price and she just said "No No No, you pay $" I was so PISSED! YOU CAN'T CHANGE THE PRICE ONCE YOU TOLD SOMEONE HOW MUCH IT WOULD BE!!!!! This place sucks so BAD!!! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, VERY RUDE AND LEARN ENGLISH so you can communicate properly with your customers!!!! I'm sorry, but I am very mad! This place is horrible. I called ahead of time and ask if I can be seen they told me to come in within the next 10 minutes and they would cut my hair. There was only one Barber and I ended up waiting over an hour. As I was waiting other people we're having the same issue when I told the barber what was going on she gave me a dirty look. I went for a hair cut this morning around 10 am. The place was empty, I figured this should be quick but was I wrong. The person who was there talked on her cell phone on a personal call while I sat in the chair waiting to have my hair cut. 10 minutes later I got up and walked out, since when is okay to take personal calls over a paying customer. I understand emergency situations but laughing and long conversation while you have a customer waiting in your chair is not acceptable. It will be a very long time before I ever go back.
