I decided to give this hair salon a try. I booked with Tina, and she's literally the best. She gave me the best mini head massage of my LIFE while she washed my hair. I am so glad I found this place, and I plan on getting more blowouts here in the near future!

I went to this salon for a full balayage on Monday Sep 28th on 2 pm and brought a specific…read morereference photo of what I wanted. We discussed the photo in detail, including the fact that the color becomes significantly lighter toward the ends and that the blonde has a soft, vanilla tone. I specifically mentioned three separate times during the appointment that I wanted the ends to be blonde. Unfortunately, the final result does not resemble the reference photo or what we discussed. The ends are not blonde at all, they are essentially brown, and the balayage effect I was specifically asking for is not there AT ALL. What is especially frustrating is that this was not a case of an unclear request. I showed a photo, we discussed the color and placement, and I repeatedly emphasized the blonde ends. I genuinely don't understand how the final result ended up so far from what was communicated. I was also going to dinner afterward and showed a photo of how I wanted my hair styled. That request was not followed either. I left feeling extremely disappointed with both the color and the styling. I understand that hair color can vary depending on the starting point and that no two results are identical, but this was not a minor difference from the reference, it was a completely different result from what I specifically requested. For the price of a full balayage which I paid over price, I expected much more attention to the details we discussed.

Her appointments were booked out a few weeks in advance, but I was willing to wait based on all of the positive experiences that people have had with her. Booking online was super easy and straightforward. When I got there, we discussed what kind of haircut I wanted and she was very helpful with her suggestions; I was looking for a Korean-style haircut with long layers with face-framing. She is also very knowledgable about trending styles, since she's studied/practiced in Vietnam and Korea before. She did a great job with my haircut and made it feel super light and healthy, perfect timing right before summer. I really also liked the products that she used too, they smelled so good, and she finished off my haircut with a blowout/curls. I love my haircut and will definitely be returning again!

I've been seeing Yeye for about two years now, and that's probably the best endorsement I can give. I've gone back consistently because she always does a great job and takes the time to understand what I'm looking for. She remembers my preferences, pays attention to the details, and never makes the experience feel rushed. Yeye really listens instead of defaulting to a generic haircut. She's easy to talk to, the conversation is always enjoyable, and I leave happy with the result every time. Great stylist, great person, and someone I'd confidently recommend to anyone looking for a new barber/stylist.

She goes the extra mile to really understand what you want and provide her expertise and knowledge as well as any recommendations that might actually be better than what you had in mind, since all of us have different types of hair and simply just going off of inspo pics. Her transparency and honesty is so rare to find nowadays and really appreciated. Her salon space is super cute, modern, clean and inviting. And her work alone speaks for itself as I've gone darker, then lighter, baby lights, teasylights, haircuts, just to name a few. Every time I leave her salon - my hair has been brought back to life with her amazing work and I feel like a brand new person! She also gives great hair products recommendations that will keep your hair healthy in between sessions and I can not stress enough how you need to book and get your hair done by Heather, you won't be disappointed!

Five hours before my appointment, Heather texts me to ask if I can come in with 50-minutes' notice. My first appointment. Who does this? I was shocked and explained that I couldn't do it as I work, which is why my appointment was scheduled outside of work hours. Heather countered with an offer of either a morning appointment or two slots in the middle of the afternoon. These appointments were for the next week. Still in opposition to normal work hours. Are you kidding me? Heather, your inability to professionally time manage is not your new client's problem. It is rude to ask a new client to come in early to suit you. I am early to every service appointment. Always. You should expect that your clients show up on time and have the funds to pay for it. Instead, because I have the audacity to take exception to your unprofessional behavior, you tell me I am entitled. Entitled because I have the expectation that a service provider be able to time manage? Entitled because I can't leave my job to be at your salon within 50 minutes of your text? I'll tell you what I should be entitled to...a $75 cancellation credit from YOU!

I haven't gotten a haircut in over a year, so I was really looking forward to this, but this visit was so disappointing. None of the workers spoke English, which meant the translation was poor from the very start. Because of that, they basically did not do at all what I asked for. I explicitly requested to take off 4 inches, but they chopped off 7 inches instead. For reference, my hair was down to my waist almost and straight across so I was looking forward to getting some nice layering and a decent trim. (I attached my reference photo vs what I actually got). My hair that I took so long to grow out is now super short. To make matters worse, the whole styling process felt very aggressive and frustrating. I honestly felt like I was being thrown around in the chair and manhandled. They repeatedly poked me in the face with their fingers when moving around my hair and the comb kept getting very close to my eyes... When I finally saw the results, the layering was so uneven it was shocking. I wish I had a better picture, but when I got home I was so saddened by the haircut that I cried out of despair and started aggressively cutting it myself just trying to fix it. I also still can't get over that I basically have less than half of the hair I started with left. Absolutely do not recommend, terrible experience.
