I had a haircut there recently and the service was terrible. Everything felt rushed and the cut itself wasn't even, didn't even match the style I wanted (layers - which I didn't get). It just became a single cut bob, as if they had just taken their scissors and cut across the bottom AND the front wasn't even. Something I could've done at home. I had mentioned my concerns to the stylist, but she cut maybe two strands of hair and said it was fixed. I waited longer than the time it took them to give me the haircut. Took my almost 2 year old for his very first haircut. I don't remember who cut his hair but we didn't have a reservation, just a walk in. We waited less than 5 minutes. The ladies in there are not friendly at all. We went in there for a trim of eyebrow and mustache, and the lady ruined his mustache. they are talking and don't even pay attention to you when you're in there. another man walked in and asked if he can get the clippers cleaned and she said that they clean them at the beginning of the day and if you wanted them clean, it would be extra. all of a sudden inside started to smell like fish and they all walked out some of them even put masks on. this is a very nice location, but it's unfortunate. The service was terrible. I would not recommend they are cutting each other's hair in there and seems so bothered when a customer walks in. read more

So I walked into Lisa's and asked if they could finish my long hair in 20min and the lady was like yeah. I sat down after confirming twice she understood what I asked because I was kinda shook. Showed my girl the same pics of a young angelic Miranda Kerr that's been in my phone for years for reference, gave some quick directions on clean layers and don't make me look like a boy. Fifteen minutes later and the cut was done. No frills simple women's haircut for $19 pre-tips, shampoo and blowdry are priced separately. While I did miss having somebody else sensually massage my head into a bliss by shampooing before a cut, I now have money leftover for a week's worth of bbt. read more

They were open on Labor Day 9/3/18 so the place was filling up with families and people who are otherwise too busy to get a haircut on weekends. My trim was $15 and an addition $1 because I paid with a debit card. If you pay with cash you get a discount. I gave a generous tip because I was so grateful they were open on a holiday. Another client next to me gave really specific instructions on how he wanted his head shaved etc and it seems like he was a regular so that's proof that they have loyal customers. read more

Very bad experience here. This place is really a coin toss. I've been here about 5 times now and 3 of the haircuts were okay, 2 were absolutely awful. Here's my story. My haircut is very simple - high and tight. Short on the sides. My first bad haircut she basically only used the clippers and didn't fade at all, leaving a clear polygonal shape. She didn't understand and the owner fixed it thankfully, apologized that the other worker apparently had bad eyes. Okay, sure maybe just a fluke but at least they fixed it. Two fine haircuts later and fast forward earlier today where I need another haircut. I said I wanted a high and tight. Short on the sides - zero. Don't cut top or front at all. I showed her a picture of my haircut from before. Very simple. She proceeds to spend 20 minutes slowly cutting my sides with the same clipper at zero - I don't even know what took so long. At a certain point I'm worried because this simple haircut is 15 minutes in and it feels like she's going too high on one side. I finally get a chance to look in the mirror and my left side is at least an inch cut higher than my right leaving a half Mohawk on my head. I tell her that it's extremely uneven. I tell her to just ask me or freakin say SOMETHING if she wasn't sure what she was doing. She looks bewildered. The boss comes over and says that it can't really be fixed. If she evens out the sides then it will be a Mohawk. What the hell. She did offer me a free haircut the next time I come in but I've got this BS haircut for 2-3 weeks now until I can let my hair grow out to fix it. I don't mind if you're not sure but just say something. Don't nod at what I asked and pretend like you know then proceed to butcher my hair. read more

You get what you pay for and in my case worse, but definitely not perfect Lisa!!! I said natural looking lines and not too short - twice, not too short! She (lady in her late 30s early 40s) cut it so short that no lines were visible anymore... great workaround! Obviously too late I tried to point out that she uses a way to short trim. Apparently that triggered some insecurity which left me with an unfinished haircut. Pointing that out she tried to finish it and eventually I confronted the whole place with the situation since this lady obviously can't cut hair other than soldier trim... An elderly lady eventually jumped in and gave me somewhat of an haircut while apologizing for what happened - she still charged me though which is a smart move since they obviously didn't win a new customer with me! read more

I had been going there for years and was a big fan, a loyal customer, and--as a former service worker--a consistent tipper. They were great with both of our kids growing up but I can't come back to a place that operates with such a contempt for their customers. Last time I came by I paid cash and the lady reminded me that the price didn't include tip. I then tipped $2 each for my son and I and $5 for the baby. After I left the lady claimed I didn't tip and so my wife was obliged to tip again. If you need more money, raise the price. Don't bark at people that they need to pay extra and don't insult those of us who make a point of tipping. And don't come after my wife in front of my kids saying Daddy didn't tip when he damn well did. read more

This is a small whole in the wall hair cut shop with lots of business. They do a good job on men's hair. My brother has been going to them for over 15 years. He is usually satisfied if Julie is the one cutting his hair. All the other girls do an OK job. The hair cuts are cheap and quick. However, the line and wait is long and there are no appointments. What ever the woman tell you there are no appointments. I have seen many arguments inside and heard many on the phone. Customers come in thinking they made an appointment and in fact the women do not honor appointments. This is a strictly a walk-in hair cut kind of place. The women do not know how to cut a woman's hair unless you want a short shaved cut. I went in for a trim and the woman could not cut the back of my hair in a straight line. Don't ask me why. I asked Julie to fix it and she did. I had to put up a big fuss to get Julie to fix my hair. She is very popular since she is the only one who can really cut hair here. If you go to Lisa's to the following: 1. expect to wait 2. go to the bathroom first so you don't have use their dirty bathroom (sometimes they even say they don't have one - crazy since we are paying customers) 3. only go for short hair cuts 4. wait for Julie to cut your hair - my friends tell me that the other women do not listen and sometimes take too much off the top and/or the sides. I have seen proof of this so just wait for Julie I would give Julie 4 out of 5 stars and all the total location 3 stars. read more

My husband comes here to get a haircut about once a month. He's not very picky when it comes to his hair. It's cheap and they get the job done. Can't expect much for $10 (Prices are going up as of 6/20/2018 so it will be $13 soon). Sometimes I have them cut my kids' hair too if we happen to be here, they need hair cuts and I am too lazy to take them to the preferred place they usually go to. This place does a decent job and at worst, the hair grows out in a couple weeks anyways. It can get busy if you come on a weekend. Two years ago, I went to a Vietnamese lady to get a hair cut. After that, I was scarred and didn't go to a hair salon since. My hair finally grew too long for me to handle, and I wanted about 5 inches cut, around where my armpits are. I go in, and almost instantly, I'm directed toward a chair. They ask me if I wanted a straight cut or a V. My companion who came with me said straight wouldn't look good. I thought that a V cut wouldn't be bad, right? I was definitely mistaken. For this cut, I wanted no bangs. Just a simple cut that looked similar to what I had. Sort of just a trim, except 5 inches off. Not too many layers since my hair is thick and it would puff out. The woman who started me off was small with short hair above the shoulders. She cuts and cuts and cuts and even without my glasses on, I knew it wasn't going to turn out well. I had a bit of hope though. Until I was directed to another woman... THE OTHER LADY HAD MESSED UP AND HAD CUT MY HAIR UNEVENLY AND DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO FIX IT. The second woman cut my hair to my shoulders and ended up giving me bangs and a ton of layers. Then she drys my hair and puffs it out with a brush... They gave me a look that was the exact opposite of what I wanted. It's also the same style that I had two years ago after I had gone to get it cut. This sucks. read more

She is friendly, quick with the men's haircut, and gives a wonderful scalp massage with wash. For $15 for the wash and cut, for a no fuss and no appointment type salon, this works great. Furthermore, after showing an image of how you would like your haircut the hair dresser ignores you. They keep raising the prices on there services but the quality keeps decreasing. So when I went in here for a haircut, I was assigned this lady who was rather large. Not that that mattered at all, but then I got the sense she was a lazy person because instead of walking around my chair, she took a clipper to my head with one hand and used her other hand to turn my chair around while she trimmed me with the clippers!!!! Gees, might as well stick a bowl on my head and cut around it. To add insult to injury, she was unfriendly and had a scowl on her face. And yes you probably guessed it... the haircut was awful.... very uneven and way shorter than what I requested.
