This place was okay. They got the job done. I forgot the name of the one who did my pedicure, I came here a few weeks ago. She was nice and didn't try to sell me on any more services like some places do. The place is kind of cramped in my opinion, and I felt like there wasn't much airflow so I felt like I was really breathing in all the fumes. I got a basic pedicure which comes with regular polish for I believe was $30, good price, for a decent job. I will be returning, maybe I will try to gauge the time when it's not so busy. I had my gelx nails removed here and I'm not too sure how to feel about the experience. The place was really packed and busy. It was clean and had snacks and drinks for customers. The removal process was quick, but the nail tech seemed pretty careless in how she handled my nails at times. There still seems to be a thin, sheer layer of the gel on my nails and I'm not sure if it's supposed to be like that to not drill so far to damage my natural nails, or she didn't do enough of cleaning everything up. Also she clipped my nails really rough so it hurt when she was clipping off the longer tips of the extensions. Later on she even cut off my natural nails really short without asking if that was ok. Then I ended up with strangely shaped natural nails that I ended up fixing on my own after I got home. I'm sure the techs are great in doing nail art and manicures, but I'm not sure if I'd want to trust them in removing anything off my nails. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Orange Nail Bar. This is hands down my favorite nail spa and one of my favorite self care places. I come here every single month and it is truly an experience every time. I literally take a whole day off just to treat it like a genuine spa day because that is exactly how it feels. I always get Gel X nails with custom designs with Camy and she is absolutely incredible. Camy has been doing my nails since before I got engaged, through my engagement, my wedding and now throughout my pregnancy and baby shower season and she has never once missed. She is insanely talented detail oriented and really listens to what you want while also elevating the design. Every set she creates feels beautiful clean and perfectly tailored to me. I also get a pedicure every single visit usually Lavendurable or Olive, and I genuinely mean this when I say I have never had a bad pedicure here. Whether it is regular polish, gel polish, or even French tips the quality is always perfect. The care, cleanliness, and consistency are unmatched and they take their time and make sure everything looks flawless. What makes this place even better is the atmosphere. The salon is modern, clean, and aesthetic and it feels more like a boutique spa than a typical nail salon. Everything is bright, polished, and relaxing which adds to the whole experience. Everyone who works here is spectacular. You can tell the entire team takes pride in their work and it shows in the results. You never feel rushed and the service always feels thoughtful and high end. My sister made a reservation for us and she said it was a bit tricky since no one would respond to her. Eventually she was able to get through and make one, but the day of the reservation, they somehow changed my appointment time last minute and didn't notify anyone. We called and were able to get the issue resolved fairly quickly though. The pedicure was fine and I liked how they have several options. I didn't have any complaints there. They also have massage chairs that are pretty strong! However, the manicure was not as enjoyable. I showed my nail tech an inspo pic and she said she would be able to accomodate. However, as she started to paint my nails, it wasn't coming out as I anticipated. I also had to repeat myself several times as it didn't seem like she was understanding the concepts (which was fine, I would rather her try to understand than waste both of our time). The final result didn't look anything like what I wanted, but it was still somewhat acceptable. My main issue is that the pearls only lasted THREE days before they fell off the nail. My sister's gems also didn't even last a week. For $115-140, we expected the gems to at least last a couple of weeks. Other nail salons have been able to get them to last a month when applied properly. I would probably return for a pedi, but certainly not a complicated manicure. read more

I've been here once before for a regular pedicure and that turned out okay. But today, I had my gel nails removed and a regular manicure after. My nails turned out uneven, SUPER CLUMPY, and with tons of mini air bubbles on several of the nails. I had to ask my nail tech to redo a few of my nails and she only redid one as she said if she put another coat over the other one, "it would take too long". The nail polish looked thick and sticky coming from the bottle, so it probably was kind of dry to begin with. By the time she was done, that was when I saw the mini air bubbles and uneveness so it was a little late to change the color at that point. It also was supposed to have an 8 minute hot stone massage. The massage was very weak-- she rubbed a hot stone on my hand and up and down my arm a few times. She "massaged" my arms, but the pressure was very weak and there was no timer, so I'm not sure if I did get the full 8 min. The quality of the nail polish was not good and the finished manicure was upsetting for the price I paid. Maybe my experience was a one-off as the store was full of people. But, I was so unhappy with the service I would not come back here for a regular manicure. read more

I walked in just to get my acrylics removed, It's a monday mind you. I got my nails done from them. I wanted to go back to them because I obviously went to them before and they did these acrylics. they said sorry you'll have to go somewhere we don't have any nail tech's avail. we have other customers waiting. I've always felt unwelcomed here. even if I have an appointment or not. They are talented but unfortunately they seem snobby. I recently discovered this salon as it is close to my office. I got a full set of gel ex about 4 weeks ago and it has lasted so long! I came in today to have it removed due to me wanting to go natural with my hands. They were very attentive and careful in removing the set. I also got a pedicure, the basic $35 dollar one. I came here two years ago and left extremely disappointed after 2 of my nails broke off only two days after getting them done and never came back. Well, 2 years later I heard that the staff had changed and the salon had improved a lot so I took my mother, niece and myself for a pedicure. The experience was terrible. Again. Worse this time. My mom got a pedicure that came off as soon as we left the salon. I'm a retired nail tech so I know the steps it takes to ensure the polish stays on and they didn't apply base or top coat to seal her nails. The pedicure I got included hot stones and didn't get any of that. What was most disappointing is that at the start of the appointment, I was asked what I had in mind for my nails. At no point was I informed that my request could not be completed within the scheduled time. Had this been communicated beforehand, I could have adjusted expectations, rescheduled, or chosen a different service or technician. I was not given the option to switch to another nail tech, nor was a solution or alternative offered. As a result, I left the salon unhappy and dissatisfied with my experience. I have been coming to this spot for over a year. I usually have a good experience here--the nail techs are great, and I'm typically happy with how my nails turn out. However, the customer service is seriously lacking, especially from the manager, Vi, who is extremely rude and unwelcoming. I have seen her be rude with others but I genuinely think she's especially mean & negatively biased towards me because of the first review I left. Today, I asked for the exact same service I got last month (just a different color). Last month, I paid $75 with Nikki. This time, Moon quoted me $90. The only difference was acrylic on 2 nails, which Moon said would be $5 total. I had no problem paying, but I wanted clarity on why the price jumped $15 in just 3 weeks. The receptionist couldn't explain and called Vi. Instead of clarifying, Vi told me, "If you don't like the prices, don't come back" and claimed that I always have issues with the pricing (which is absolutely absurd and false). I stayed calm and reiterated that I was fine paying. I just wanted to understand what changed so I can make informed choices in the future. Both Vi and the receptionist insisted the prices changed in the last 3 weeks and that it was my responsibility to check (though I was never informed of any increase). Again, this entire time I am reiterating that I WILL pay the full price, but would like a breakdown of what specifically increased. I left feeling extremely disappointed and upset. The nail techs deserve credit, but the way Vi handled the situation was unnecessarily rude and dismissive. They have tons of comfortable seats for both manicures and pedicures, and they get a lot of business even on weekdays. I mostly get Gel-X as well as the very occasional regular gel manicure. I am always happy with the work done - it's clear that the nail artists take their craft very seriously, and strive to make sure customers truly like what they are getting! I am asked numerous times to confirm if what they're doing (color, length, design) looks good to me which I really appreciate. Though i've enjoyed getting my nails done from all of the nail techs, my favorite artists are Angie and Moon! Their prices are competitive with other businesses in the area, and I find that it is very worth it to spend time at Orange Nail Bar. Best quality nails in South Bay! They do amazing work and can handle all kinds of designs. My nail artist was Sunny. She was super sweet, really friendly, and super gentle with my nails. I went for something simple, Nude Cat Eye with a little 3D heart design on the ring finger. One of the nail artists mentioned that the Nude Cat Eye is one of their new colors, and it's so pretty! Came here on a Friday before Mother's Day weekend to get my mom pampered and get her a pedicure! It was our first time getting pedicures EVER and I saw this place offered that. I used to go here to get my nails done but that was years ago. When we walked in, the place was BUSY! So happy we made appointments lol. Came in on 02/6 for a Valentine's Day set and 6 days later a nail fell off on its own, you could see the number of the tip still attached to my finger nail. I waited another day to call in and their receptionist said they would take me to fix them. I agreed to come in after Lunar new year but by then 4 nails had already come off on their own & the rest were already lifting. Unfortunate because I did like that place, but at that point my Vday set was ruined & didn't even want to go in to fix it or pay for a new set within a week or just paying $130 for this one. I have officially found my new nail salon! I called in to see if they can take me way earlier than my scheduled appointment and they luckily had an opening at the perfect time. I was surprised they were able to accommodate me bc when I got to the salon, it was PACKED! On a Thursday morning! The kind lady at the front desk was very helpful and nice. Nails: I got an acrylic new set with French tips and chrome ($95) I showed my nail tech, CAMY an inspo pic and she did a way better job than the inspo!! Throughout the service- she checked in with me multiple times making sure I was satisfied with the length, shape, base color and thickness of the French tip. I can get shy to speak up, but Camy made me comfortable to voice little changes I wanted (shorter nails and thinner tips), she made the changes and checked in again after! They came out perfectly. I also got a gel pedicure with callus removal treatment package ($70), and I regret that I didn't catch my nail tech's name bc she also did a great job! Definitely one of my favorite sets. It was my first time trying them out. Arrived on time for my appointment. When it was my turn to get a pedicure, I was given a menu of services they provided. I chose one of them with gel polish. What I found weird was that it was an up charge of +$15 for gel!! That's a lot for already spending money on just the pedicure itself. I thought it was going to be awhile and well taken care of. But it was the opposite. I felt extremely rushed and not well attended to. The pedicure lol all of 15 maybe 20 minutes. Much less time that I would've thought for an expensive service package. And all throughout the time I was there, there was an employee walking around and talking extremely loud to another employee on the other side of the store. They consistently give me the perfect nail shape every time I go and are really thorough with the service. I love showing them inspiration pictures for nail colors, and they match them perfectly!
