I seriously believe that a driver is taking advantage of my elderly mother. I believe he over charges her every time and not by 20 or 30 dollars, im talking 50 to 100. Plus I dont believe he is reporting her rides simply because the amounts he charges her makes no sense. When my Dad, her husband, passed he had a huge collection of colognes the she gave him and he should not have accepted it. I dont know what to do. read more

They go above and beyond for the people that call I have not had a bad experience with any of the drivers they've always been polite they get me there and get me back decent price always respectful they even let me bring my dog and watch him while I run into a store once or twice like I love Amanda's taxi I recommend them over even Uber I'm sorry but I do on their cars always clean never had an accident with them nothing bad I can say about a man to sexy I would check with them out read more

This was the perfect cab experience. Communication was prompt. The driver was at my home right on time and texted me. He took the best route, and drove quickly and competently. He was courteous and smiling, but there was no small talk, which I appreciated. He made me feel comfortable and safe. It was a short trip, but he did not complain or remark on that. Please note that I called the main number and at first got a recording, then was contacted after I hung up; perhaps dispatch is automated now. I am sorry I didn't think to get this gentleman's name; I would prefer to work with him again. read more

The Latino driver picked me up at the hospital and then refused to take me to the pharmacy, said he could only take me home, even though my insurance paid for this ride and my doctors told me to him instruct him to make sure I picked up my antibiotics. read more

I'm sad to have to report this. I've had good experiences with most of my trips with this company. However. After having a very impatient driver (Leslie) pick me up and speak to me horrible. I needed to warn others of her ability to be downright evil. I tried using the service again.. but requested NOT Leslie. She was dispatched anyhow. I called back and re-informed of my request. Leslie decided to text me personally at this point. Telling me I DESERVED to be homeless, sick and alone. I was beyond shocked. Besides being ENTIRELY unprofessional. Unnecessary. This was just cruel. So beware. Such disgusting behavior shouldn't be allowed. Not sure where "Gordon" came from. But yes.. she deserved what I called her after I've specifically requested her services. And tipped more than I could afford. read more

Amanda's Taxi - Taxis Near Me

Karla, she took us Monday the 4th of September to PDX from Salem. Very safe driver. Totally friendly. Totally efficient. LOVED having her as a driver. We were hoping to have for our way home FROM PDX today. But our flights were so messed up we weren't able to make that connection this. But plan on future rides if in a crunch. So recommending her and this cab service to all my family and friends. Thanks, Mike Dione and Miguel read more

Top notch quality transportation and customer service with genuine drivers you won't find anywhere else in the Salem area.

Today was the day I decided to keep my money local. Brian (the big dog) picked me up right on time, got me to my destination and gave me a new insight to life!!! I will forever use Amanda's taxi instead of those other corporations that take 25% from their local drivers. Amanda's taxi is a great choice if you're deciding who to use. Call or text them right now and you won't be disappointed!! read more

First time and last time taking Amanda's Cab Company any place. Took me to my work to get my check & then to drop me off @ Credit Union to cash my check. To my work is 3.3 miles, and from there to Maps is 1.7 miles. Cost was $34. Ouch!!!! read more

My cab arrived slightly early. The car was clean. The driver was courteous, and got me to my destination without mishap. During the ride, he took several calls, using his right hand to hold his phone to his ear. He changed lanes without signalling. The price was about $4.50 per mile. read more

Shout out to Amanda's towing. I had my car towed after moving into a new complex. I discovered this at 6:30am as I was getting ready to go to work. My driver, Brian, was prompt and kind. I was able to get there quickly and get to work with only a slight delay. Thank you! read more

Reliable, kind and on time. Thank you for taking such good care of my elderly aunt and her transportation needs.

I just got scammed by an Amanda's taxi driver. I live 2.6 miles from the point where I was picked up and I had already checked online for current drop fees ($3.50) and cost per 1/10 mile (25 cents), and minimum charges ($10), so I had a pretty good idea what the cost would be (roughly $10). I even verified with the driver that those were his costs, so I was very disappointed when I arrived at my destination and he charged me $15. I WILL NEVER USE AN AMANDA'S TAXI AGAIN AND I RECOMMEND THAT CUSTOMER STAY CLEAR OF THIS TAXI COMPANY UNLESS THEY WANT TO BE OVERCHARGED AS WELL. read more

I had sub contracted taxi. He over charged me $33.00 for a round trip that was less than 6 miles. Day manager did not care. I will never use this service again. read more

I tried to get service Sat AM, but no answer after two tries. Then police called and got an immediate response for me and prompt arrival. I have tried to call five times tonight and no answer again. Also, website embedded message and booking formats are not functioning, and emails sent to the info and booking email addresses bounce back saying the addresses don't exist. read more

Do not use this company. I called, explained we need taxi to and from Elsinore Theatre and that both passengers were disabled. "Brian" said he would tell "Carla" the night manager who would call me at 6:15 p.m. to confirm. No call so I called and Carla told me no one had told her anything but they could squeeze us in. Very nice driver, clean car and got us to our concert. I asked him about a return trip at 9 p.m. and he said call Carla when we needed a ride. I dud and was told by Carla that since we didn't get a reservation from driver nobody could drive us home. So here we were, both post op from hip and back surgeries, stranded...can't decide if they lied are are incompetent but cannot recommend them to anyone. read more

The Willamette University Debate Union travels domestically and internationally on a fairly consistent basis, and we don't trust anyone else to get us to the Portland airport and back. Regardless of if we are traveling in a group of 2 or 10+, Amanda's Taxi is always on time and ready to go with water bottles for everyone. The drivers are extremely friendly, easy to reach, and super helpful. Booking trips is extremely easy and we have never had any problems. Brian is great and super easy to reach, and even helped bring me back my Hydroflask when I forgot it in his car! read more

I called for a cab and the lady said since someone from my address cancelled a cab previously she would not send a taxi unless I wanted to pay double... Rude, unprofessional, I will never call or recommend this place to anyone. Call yellow cab instead read more

Taxi was on time, and driver was friendly. Seemed pretty expensive though, especially for wait time...

Amanda's Taxi is the BEST way to travel to Portland Airport... or anywhere! First of all they have the best prices of anyone. I was so pleased to hear the cost of a round-trip ride from Portland international to Salem. Secondly, their customer service is fantastic and something you just do not see anymore. My 84-year-old mom was flying into the airport alone and uses a wheelchair in the airport. I was very concerned with her traveling by herself. (I had been with her for most of our West Coast trip) but spoke to Brian at Amanda's and he assured me that my mom would be looked after very well. Once she arrived at the airport from Seattle, the wheelchair people took her to the incorrect location for pick up. I tried calling her cell phone a couple of times but she had it off. Brian, the driver From Amanda's taxi, went out of his way to locate my mother when other cab companies would have just left. He is so caring and really took care of my mom and she loved him. He even called me in NY on my cell phone to let me know that he found her and delivered her to my aunts house safely. Then a week later he promptly picked her up to insure she arrived at the airport on time and got everything she needed for her flight back home to Florida. I cannot say enough about him or Amanda's taxi. My entire family will definitely use them whenever we fly to Portland and need transportation. Excellent prices and phenomenal customer service! read more
