The gentlemen we had were friendly and took care of all of our luggage. The company has great communication. We were scheduled to be picked up at 4:45am but at around 9pm the night before I started getting nervous that we should leave a few minutes earlier, so I sent them an email asking if we could leave at 4:30am instead, really not expecting anyone to respond in time. They actually emailed me back within 10 minutes and confirmed the earlier pick-up time. Then, our return flight landed at PDX (an unheard of!) 40 minutes early. As soon as we touched down I texted the number to see if there would be any way someone could come pick us up for 40 minutes earlier than planned, again not necessarily expecting a response - especially since it was close to midnight. However, they texted me back instantly that my driver would be in touch with me soon, and sure enough our driver texted me within a few minutes. By the time we grabbed our suitcases off of the conveyor and walked a few minutes to the curb, our driver was already there and waiting despite us being 40 minutes early - and, again, it was close to midnight on a Wednesday. We are customers for life!

Based on the reviews here on Yelp, I believed that Anytime Airporter was a one-person operation…read more NOT TRUE! The person I interfaced with was Sam. He was very helpful in setting up my schedule. After the times were nailed down, I felt confident that he would take care of me. A couple weeks after making my schedule, I needed to change the time: no problem! I was picked up right on time, the driver was very nice, opened my door and took my bags. Told me where I'd be picked up, but I didn't quite know what he was talking about, lol! (the airport is a lot different from the last time I went there.) On the way back, Sam contacted me with a courtesy reminder while I was still in transit. I was very grateful for the reminder as I was totally exhausted. I asked at that time, "if i can get an earlier flight, will that work for you?" he says, "yes." **PLEASE NOTE: Twice I've made a plan and later asked to change it; the second time, my request was last minute. Both times, they were on board with whatever I wanted to do. Upon arrival, Sam gave me instructions on where to meet my driver. He was right there...NO WAITING, no wondering if this was my guy. He hopped out and grabbed my stuff. (I am sure I looked pretty wilted.) Saib was easy to chat with and friendly...I enjoyed having him as my driver. He also carried all my stuff up the stairs @ my house. I would totally call these guys again. AWESOME SERVICE!!! (and shiny-clean vehicles, too!)

He noticed my Little Mermaid shirt and Disney suitcase and the rest is history. The whole ride to the airport was epic, we talked Disneyland the whole way. We talked movies, rides, food, the whole way. He's awesome and wish he would of picked us up from the Portland airport but it was a no go. Owell, I'll book again just to hope I get Curt again. Stay awesome Curt, and hope to see you soon.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH GROOME TRANSPORTATION!I Please read my review…read more I wrote a review and it got erased. When I made my reservation I told the person what time my flight left from PDX, and I was going to check my bag. This was on Monday before Thanksgiving.I was told the bus was going to go directly from Salem to PDX. She told me I would have plenty of time to catch my flight. I asked her again. I told her again Are you sure I have plenty of time to get to the airport and check my bag. The bus stopped in Woodburn, even though I was told there would be no stops. While on the bus I realized that from the time we left Salem I only had 1 hour and 45 minutes. This was crazy because on non holiday times, they say to get the airport at least 2 hours before your flight. We got stuck in traffic and did not get to the airport until later than expected. The driver told me that Groom Transportation office closes at 10:00 pm. It was 9:50. I was able to get on the next bus at 10:25. If the bus driver had not called the office I would have missed my flight and would be stranded at the airport. The driver was very helpful. I called the supervisor on Monday morning and told her what happened. She said they were told by PDX that an hour and forty five minutes would been plenty of time to catch a flight. I do not believe it for a minute. I said to the supervisor that during Thanksgiving time, it is the most traveled time of the year! How can they tell people they have plenty of time to catch their flight when it was not true. The supervisor did not say she was sorry, nothing! No customer service. In my 1st review I mentioned that I was going to contact the corporate office to share about my experience. Upon returning from my trip (I had to pay for a new plane ticket) my review was erased!!!. DO NOT USE GROOME TRANSPORTATION!! I will be calling the corporate office tomorrow.

I rely on Jorge (Coco) and Koiyan week-in and week-out for all of my trips to and from the airport. I know that they are going to show-up - or call me with any changes due to traffic or challenges due to scheduling. The courtesy, professionalism and care they put into their work is evidenced in the way that Jorge texts his customers to confirm a pick-up; or in the bottles of water they make available in all of their vans. There seems to be a misguided assumption that "door-to-door" shuttle vans are more expensive than metered cabs. This is truly a misnomer. Sunrise PDX Airport Shuttle is the most economical shuttle service (and one of the very best) around. I trust Jorge and Koiyan week-after-week for pick-ups and drop-offs at all hours of the day and night. They really are the best!

I am a disabled senior who had come out of the ER at midnight in Portland after a devastating visit…read morethat I had told him about (I have osteomyelitis in my foot so I can barely walk, and he did not offer any help at all with putting my bags in the car including making me struggle with a strange handle on the back door while he sat behind the wheel). There was a lot that this driver did that would have provided enough reasons for any employer to fire him. However, the unbelievable thing was that after I had managed to finally load myself and my bags into the back seat, he said that he would not have taken the ride if he had known how far away my destination was because he had to get back to Portland by 2 am so he could be a designated driver for his girlfriend and her friends who had been partying (drinking) all night. So, he said he would cancel the ride and put me back out in the parking lot with a noticeable shortage of drivers if he felt he could not make the round trip in the amount of time he had. When I said, "Oh, no, please, you can't, how will I get home?" (Albany is about 75 miles away from Portland). He said, "Yes I can. Don't tell me what to do. I can do anything I want to do." I figured that he could do it if he left right away, so I asked him to compute it. Since it computed to him being able to make the round trip drive within minutes of his allotted time he said he would, but boy did he make me pay for it in many ways during the ride to Albany. There is a lot more to this story, but there are two reasons I decided to write this review: 1) Uber felt I was asking for extra services when I commented on the driver's lack of compassion and said that if I needed "special treatment" I should move somewhere where the drivers get "special" training. Huh? 2) The trip cost me $104.00, and I asked Uber to refund at least part of it because the driver basically threatened me, and I was terrified that I wouldn't be able to get home! Uber's response to my sense of panic when the driver threatened to cancel and put me back out in the parking lot was that they don't give refunds for "rudeness," but they were willing to cover both issues with a $5 credit toward my next Uber ride because they were so grateful for my customer loyalty; give me a break! In closing, I have two questions for Uber. First, "If the driver had not been informed about the drive's distance, why not, and was there a way for him to find out before taking it? If not, then is Uber's policy that it is OK for the driver to cancel on the rider for any reason up to the time of arriving at the rider's location with impunity, but the rider will be penalized if he/she cancels the ride for any reason long before the driver arrives at the pickup spot. Second, "Is it OK with you for a driver to take a job conditioned on whether he still wants it after he's arrived to pick up the rider (especially in a situation such as mine), and shouldn't riders be aware of that policy so they know they are taking a risk by "confirming" a ride that the driver may cancel for any reason, even after arriving at the rider's location? Dear Reader, Thank you for your attention. I hope I have provided information that will help you avert situations where you risk financial loss and being exposed to unexpected danger because Uber's policies dictate that their drivers will not be held accountable for the kind of unacceptable, costly, and potentially dangerous behavior to which I was subjected. Stay safe!
