He scheduled a 1:15pm pickup for his 4:30 pm flight. Nexus had to change the schedule and picked him up at 12:30 pm instead, which turned out to be fine. They emailed and texted him ahead of time, so their communication was great. I think we'll be skipping our normal shuttle service and using this one. It's a smidge more expensive, but you're getting door to door drop off with a smaller business owner, which we love to support when we can.

There are currently three active ferries along the Willamette River; compared to dozens that…read moreexisted in the nineteenth century. This was the last one I needed to utilize to get my personal achievement; and honestly, it is probably my favorite. The price is right at $3 for vehicles (free for pedestrians,) the ferry master was very friendly and the area is spectacularly beautiful. I took the ferry from the east side so I got to drive through a wildlife refuge and farmland after getting off the interstate. Went across to Buena Vista, then down to Albany so I could visit some family member's headstones at a cemetery. There isn't much else to say about this ferry except that it's cheap, efficient and a reminder of how people used to cross the river before bridges became affordable options.
