Brought in a very old laptop for repair. After several weeks without hearing anything, finally called them to check in on the status only to find that during a customer software upgrade I had been lost in the shuffle. A dozen days later, called back only to find out that they were still working on options and would call back. No call came so I called again and was told that since our laptop was so old it was not really worth fixing (not terribly surprising, but I wanted to try!). As I mentioned the guys here are nice, so we brought in a second laptop for repair and decided to sell the first one to them for parts. (Recycling at it's best!) This time around I still found that if we didn't call them, we had no idea what was going on. In the end the second laptop was fixed to our satisfaction but we didn't know how much it was going to cost until we came to pick it up. When it came time to settle up the credit for the first laptop and the repair on the second, I noticed the coupon we had brought in when we dropped off the first laptop had been lost. Luckily when I pointed out it was missing from the final receipt they made good on the original offer. It wasn't the busiest time to be in there but the place was still buzzing with folks shopping for new phones. I say this because this was my biggest quip about shopping here. I found what I wanted and then it's like where do I go? How to I pay? What's the next step? I feel like there should be people around ready to help you make a purchase if that's why you are there, I sort of got the vibe that I needed an appointment to shop. Like, what? I get if you need tech support, but it was legitimately difficult to find someone to help me. Once I did find someone, she was amazing, and helpful, and I was out the door within maybe 15 minutes. Still, was a bit longer than I wanted to just pay and get my headphones. Overall I still think it's overall not a bad place to shop, and sometimes you need to go in and try out something before making a purchase, but I do wish they could re-think the entire experience, or IDK maybe even just make a person dedicated to checking folks out? Justin worked with us during our Genius Bar appointment and we would highly recommend him to anyone who needs help and we would want him in the future. He checked our iPhones and explained their status and all options to continue using them and guidance if we wanted to pursue wanting new ones. There was no high pressure sales tactics. He presented the facts and we are now armed to make a decision in the best interest of our needs and finances.
