While standing in line to retrieve an item from my box, an employee behind the counter looked at me and said, "Don't look at me like you know me." Such an inappropriate and unprovoked comment took me aback. When I asked to speak with the manager, the same employee--who identified himself as Ryan--claimed to be the manager. I expressed that his remark was unprofessional and unacceptable. Rather than acknowledging it, he attempted to justify his behavior by saying he was "trying to help me." His tone escalated, and what began as my attempt to clarify quickly turned into a defensive and uncomfortable exchange. I told the staff he was acting like a jerk. A female employee nearby quietly mouthed, "I'm sorry," which confirmed to me that my reaction was not unwarranted. I have been a loyal customer for years, even before the current ownership, and I've never experienced such discourtesy. I told him he may never help me again. It appears that Ryan may not actually know that he is not the manager, as a petite woman with short dark hair seems to hold more authority.

It only has one option and that's to start scanning completely over. On top of that, I was about to go over the pre authorized amount to my card and that stopped the job. There isn't a lot to say except this is an efficient spot with a parking lot in midtown, which is wonderful. Sure, me knowing what's up makes it easier for his staff; but this is definitely not the same at every store. Locally, I used to do shipping at the Fairway and Prairie Village locations; but after needing some help and getting charged or shamed at these two locations, I will always hit up the Central store. This location, in particular, seems to be fairly new and it boasts a few printers hooked up to their print and go feature, which is what I use most often. The biggest downside to this location is just the parking lot and how it can be kind of awkward to get in and out of it from State Line. This seem to be par for the course in this shopping center though, so likely not much that can be done about it. Overall, it's a pretty standard FedEx shop and I'd recommend it if you need to get something printed.
