My husband forgot his sunglasses on a recent road trip so he was kind of in a pinch. We found this place on a Google search so thought we'd try. Unfortunately gas station sunglasses don't typically work for my husband so we knew we'd need a more specialized selection. Thankfully we came here. The owner is who helped us. My husband told him what he was looking for in terms of needs, style, and price (we're the kind of people who can't do polarized) and the owner got it on the 2nd set. He also noticed my 7+ year old raybans and offered to help me get a new pair. I wasn't looking since I wear prescription. However, he had the same style I wear, in a size 55 instead of my size 52, and he offered it for a deal I honestly couldn't say no to. So we DID end up leaving with a pair of oakleys and a pair of Ray-Bans despite that not being the plan. Our only recommendation is if you're looking for non polarized, this shop is limited in its selection. We were lucky but I don't think everyone would be as fortunate to find what they need. read more

Bo, the owner, was very kind and understanding. I had my Raybans sunglasses that were broken- the screw fell out on the left side and he was able to put it back together. I stopped in the store today to repair my Ray-Bans. I pin came out of one of the arms. Bo fixed it quickly, by removing a pin from another pair of Ray-Bans (apparently, they are specific to the brand). He finished the job in less than two minutes and wouldn't take any payment. This is a friendly shop with great customer service. We popped in to check out what was new. The prices are fair and they've got a nice variety of sunnies to compliment all features. Unfortunately, we couldn't buy anything, but the owner Bo told us that the Hollywood strike has really bitten into their bottom line - and that included our inability to afford 'stuff'. Nice little shop in the middle of solvang! I was pleasantly surprised to pass by this place as I was on my way to the clothing store next door. (The Ray Ban sale sign got me) I walked in and the owner greeted me immediately. I wanted a new pair of Persol's but unfortunately they do not carry Persol. Looked around for the Ray Bans and realized they had the style I wanted, but not the polarized. (I know I'm picky with my choices!) the owner offered to order the polarized version of the ray bans I wanted but I got kind of excited and wanted glasses immediately. I looked around the store and the owner asked what I was looking for. He then showed me this gorgeous pair of Prada round sunglasses that I was looking for, and polarized too! I went around the store just to peruse a bit and honestly couldn't think of another pair that I wanted. I bought them immediately. Really happy with my choice, and the owner was incredibly helpful and nice! He knows what he is talking about. He offered me fixing on my lenses if I needed it and said I could keep in touch with him should I need anything else. I talked to him about his family and felt really warm and welcomed! Really happy I came in here. I'm not one to purchase glasses straight from retail but I felt like he was genuine and I felt like I was making a good choice. Just wanted to give a shout out to Bo and his wife, and two cute little kids who were also in store when I arrived, at Always Sunglasses on Mission. Awhile back dropped my Persol's and shattered a lens(OUCH!), then the other one when trying to remove it haha. Finally got the replacements from the manufacturer and was having an impossible time getting them in myself here at home, afraid I'd either snap the glass or the frames, so drove over and within 5 minutes they were looking brand new again. Know where I'll be getting my next pair when the time comes, said if they don't have a desired style in stock it can easily be ordered too. Time to support the small businesses, not the Luxottica branded ones like Sunglass Hut/LensCrafters etc.(they seriously own nearly everyting in that world). Brought in my busted up Ray-Bans this afternoon, looking to replace them with a similar model. Not only did they have the same model but polarized, which was an upgrade I sorely needed, but he actually was able to somehow fix my original Ray-Bans as well! I was ready to toss them when I brought them in as I thought they were not repairable in the state they were in. I basically felt like I walked out with two pairs of sunglasses for the price of one. A small screw fell out of my ray-bands and the gentleman working was extremely helpful and took the time for free to look through multiple screws to find one that matched and fix my sunglasses for the rest of my trip.
