I went in to get a full set of acrylic nails and right away I got seated (no appointment necessary) with Thao (I believe that's her name). She was so nice and shy but that was ok because I'm like that too, no need for small talk. She paid attention to detail with my nails, if she saw something that was off she fixed it right away. There was a little confusion with the price for the acrylics (no gel), she was new and wasn't sure so she charged me for gel, but while my nails were drying she came up to me to let me know that she messed up and gave me cash back for the difference. I have been to this place twice (for a manicure only) and the nice thing about this place is that they will get you in fast! They aren't booked up and I'm guessing there's a really good reason why. I gave them 1 star because they get you in fast and because they are cheap. Their manicures are only $15! I contemplated giving 2 stars, but thinking back at my experiences, I just don't think it's deserved. The first time I went, they seated me right away, however, they made me wait in the chair about 15-20 minutes even though the entire place was completely empty and all the employees were available to help. They were just sitting around on their phones! I'm a very patient person so I gave them a break, but their customer service skills sure need some work. The manicurist did do a decent job on my manicure though. My second trip was today. My manicurist was worse than the first time. Although she didn't sit on her phone for 20 minutes, she was incredibly rude. Now this was no cultural barrier sort of situation, she was just straight up rude. She got mad at me for wanting her to trim my nails (Umm isn't that a service provided during a manicure!?) she then CUT up my finger and then tried to stop the bleeding by rubbing my forehead! YES! my FOREHEAD! what!? you should NEVER touch someone's face without their permission! EVER! it was the most unusual experience. Obviously it did not stop my finger from bleeding. I told her to STOP touching my face and that I'll apply pressure to my wound (Okay, I know that sound a little dramatic, but it HURT!). She then blamed me for the cut on my finger! what!? I didn't say anything to her because I just wanted her to finish her work so I could get out of there. After that, she didn't like my choice of nail polish color and was questioning why I would pick such a color because I had picked a pearly white color with hints of purple in it, but to her it was just white. She said the bottle was nearly empty so she cannot use it. Instead of finding another bottle of the same color which most nail salons would do, she just said she will just bring white (rolling eyes!!!!). I told her the color is NOT white so she brought something she felt most resembled the color. I was fine with it, but she continued to say "this is all i have, if not this, I'll bring white and that's all!"I was annoyed at that point and told her what she brought is just fine. She didn't even paint the side of my nails and when I told her this, she said that if she paints the sides, then the polish will get all over my cuticles...!?!?!?! MIND BOGGLING! I went here to get my nails/toes/brows done today and knew I was going to have to wait since I didn't have an appointment. What I didn't know is that I would wait over an hour for someone to do my nails and after she applied the acrylic she said she had to go home. So not only did I want an hour I had to wait another 30 minutes for someone else to finish my nails. While waiting I ask about my pedicure and the owner tells me she didn't know we wanted one (my sister and I) which is weird because that was the first thing I said. Anywho she tells me she didn't hear me say that and they can't fit anyone else today which was annoying but fine. While waiting I look at my nails and see a finger is noticeably crooked, so I bring it up to the owner while she is doing my nails and she begins to yell at me. Like actually yelling at me saying that she's said sorry and she doesn't know what I want because someone else started my nails and that I should remove all of them and go. Which is???? I wasn't angry at her for the crooked nail I just painted it out before the design and she continues to yell at me and say I won't accept the sorry and I'm sitting there stunned and I ask for them to be removed then since she won't stop yelling at me. She leaves my nails to soak and then disappears for over 15 minutes and comes back and is ripping my nails off and cutting so deep she cuts my real nail and the skin also my nail beds are forever damaged. Also my sisters nails were not what she asked for but she didn't want to say anything. I finally leave after being there for well over 2 hours with fucked up nails and no time to fix them since all the nail shops nearby are closing down. Also throughoubht all this people who came after us are being serviced for both nails and toes. I never write yelp reviews but this is the worst experience I have ever had and not only was I verbally degraded but also I am in extreme pain because of how careless she was with my nails. I came to this salon at 3 pm this afternoon (December 1st, 2019) with a friend for pedicures. We were told we would be started in five minutes and it would take an hour total--we asked because my friend had to go to work and so we were explicit that we could not wait too long. Apparently there was some mixup with another customer, so the manager had to help her, but we were not told it would affect our timing. Thirty minutes later we were brought to the pedicure station and then twenty minutes after that, someone came over to start on a woman who had arrived after us, with no apology or explanation. We ended up needing to leave, since we could not wait any more time and they told us it would be another "five minutes." I told the manager that we would have appreciated being told about the wait at any point. She did not even respond to me, let alone apologize. If anything, after wasting an hour of our time, I would have appreciated a discount for a future service or at least an apology. Horrible experience! read more

I was visiting from out of town and this place was close, but only ok. The manicure took forever (almost an hour) doenjust a regular manicure and then within two days the polish peeled off in full sheets. The salon wasn't dirty, but wasn't sparkling clean either. I have been to this nail store 3 times . The first time I went in my nails was properly done and for the first time in MN I got my nail done properly. So I was excited to return so I can experience the same care. But , I was wrong : The second time I went in to do my nails for Valentines day and I had a special design. I had asked the lady if she could do it and she said yes. 20 mins later after completing my pedicure, she kept struggling to design my nail the way I had requested. I would have appreciated it, if she told me she could not do it and I would understand. But she wasted my time for at least an additional 18 mins and achieved nothing. So I suggested a simpler design. At the end, I asked the cost and she charged me more. She kept screaming in anger the cost, ignoring the fact that she had wasted my time. I had a zoom meeting with my team but I was delayed at this nail store. Then, I asked them to give me a list o their nail service prices. I saw I was overcharged. ****I RECOMMENDED THAT YOU DISCUSS PRICE first. ****** Again, because of my first experience . I have them a third time to prove me wrong. But this last service broke the Carmel back. My nails were treated with so much disrespect. Right now, my nails hurts so badly and I had to place them in warm water to keep them calm. Had an appointment, so there was no wait time. The woman who did my nails rushed through them, but they turned out looking better than I expected. I've been through my fair share of rushed gel manicures, and this was one of the better ones. My cuticles and shape of nails looked a ton better than they did before I went in, the one complaint I have is that I had some nail polish residue left on my skin afterwards. She did check her work a couple of times and went back to fix a few nails, which I appreciated. I'm not going to complain about being rushed because this was a Sunday afternoon appointment-- a time when most people want to get their nails done. The rushed treatment was reflected in my tip, but as stated before, the service was better than expected considering the circumstances. This was one of the worst pedicure experiences I have ever had. I went in with my girlfriend to get the manicure-pedicure combo on Sunday. The guy who did my girlfriend's nails was great and gentle. The woman who did my nails was grumpy and hurt my big toes so bad that I have not been able to wear shoes for the past two days. My toe nails are infected because she was so rough trying to cut my cuticles. When I told her that it was hurting and asked her to stop because it was bleeding, she responded, "it's not bleeding. It's inside!" (M among that the red bloody spot was not gushing out?!) I was in so much pain that I could not sleep. I have been applying hydrogen peroxide, neosporin, and may need to go to see my doctor if the pain and the inflammation do not go away. I have not been able to go to work because wearing shoes is painful, and I do not wear sandals. read more

The person who did my nails (she said her name was Tna but she could be lying) had an attitude with me as soon as she started doing my nails. I asked if they had other colors available she snatched the books from me and gave different books with the same colors. Fine. I then asked if I could soak my feet in the water for a couple minutes because they were soaking in acetone for 15 minutes while the lady who started my pedi took a different client and never came back to me. She got mad, took her stuff and walked away. I asked if she could do a specific design for me and didn't even look at the design before saying no we don't do designs. I was okay with that. Once we got to doing the mani, she asked to look at the design and I told her we don't have to do it if it's too difficult but insisted she could. She rushed through the painting of the nails, making it uncomfortable for me to interject to tell her to fix the details. After I saw how she was being sloppy with my design, and I wasn't happy with my nails, she asked if I wanted to take them off. I told her yes I want them off because I'm not going to pay for something I'm not happy with. Manicures are not cheap and I will not pay for a service that wasn't done how I want it done period. I never said I wasn't going to pay for the service, but if the design isn't working, she should have offered something else. Anything else. She started sanding my nails down and said " I'll take the color off your nails and you can leave". That's it. Didn't offer to do a different color or anything easier. Instead she starts yelling at me and I tell her to stop yelling and she continues to yell at me about how her design is different than mine. She made me cry that's how bad it got. And then she had a different nail tech finish the service for me. Nobody apologized for the way I was treated, and I literally cried the rest of my time there. It was so unprofessional the way this lady behaved. I will never go there again. Not to mention they got me in 30 minutes after my appointment time. Her excuse for that was because I came early. My appointment was at 2pm and I was in the salon by 2:03pm. I understand things get busy so I wasn't upset however I won't let them disrespect me in the salon the way they did. Wow! I just moved here a couple months ago from Manhattan and have been struggling trying to find a good nail salon. I tried a few and they fell short of my expectations. I tried Always Nails on a whim and wow were they awesome! Their salon is very clean and well-maintained and they have a very nice selection of gel colors, more than I've seen in other salons. The staff there is pretty awesome as well. It actually seems like they all really want to be there and like each other and most importantly care about the clients. They took their time and did an extremely good job on my pedicure and gel manicure. I highly highly recommend the salon. I had a luxurious pedicure which included chamomile exfoliant, mask, massage with hot stone, hot towels, hot oils, pure perfection and pampering! My feet felt so soft and looked beautiful! First time going here. I read the mixed reviews and wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. The technician that I had was nice enough, but very pushy. I wanted a stripe design in a stiletto shape that I showed her in the beginning. I wanted horizontal stripes, with one of my nails having a vertical stripe design for an accent nail. She asked me straight off the bat if it was going to be okay if the lines weren't completely straight because they did them by hand. The nails turned out to be a little longer then I wanted because she told me they could only do a stiletto shape in a medium to long length. That wasn't the end of the world, but she fought me on the length saying she couldn't go any shorter. When she started painting my nails, she completely forgot the design that I showed her in the beginning and did something completely different. After my friend said something, after she did one whole hand, she apologized and I told her that we can make it work. I just wanted one nail to have vertical stripes on my left hand so they weren't completely different from each other. But after I suggested this, she said my idea was too busy and did her own thing anyway. My lines are crooked and in some places not even connected to the end of the nail. Not to mention that one of my nails was completely jacked up and she didn't fix it. See for pictures. By the end of the transaction they were trying to rush people out of the salon because they were closing and I didn't want to fight with her anymore to get what I wanted. I've been here a handful of times to get my fills. Each time the price is different and they always ask me who did It prior when it was them. This last time was my last. The lady rushed through it and was extremely aggressive. When I realized there was bubbles in my polish and brought it to her attention she just filed over my polish and made it scratched and rough. I'm disappointed because I feel like you don't get what you pay for. Needless to say I've had to go somewhere else to get them repaired. Costumer Service extremely poor. read more
