Typical American breakfast restaurant with some interesting items like this breakfast poutine. I originally asked for my eggs to be fried over medium and they came out so runny. I asked to redo the eggs and the new eggs were more cooked but was not medium. I think it's important for breakfast places to be able to cook an egg to the temperature requested. The coffee was just okay and the pancake was pretty basic.

First time here. It was a Tuesday morning and I was warned about the crowds that come on the weekend, but we were one of the only tables. There was only parking on the street, but since it was a weekday, it was easy to park out front. We got the waffle with bananas foster, Nutella crepe and a side of bacon. The portions were big, but the waffle became soggy from the toppings. Since it wasn't crowded, it was quiet and calm. The drinks menu looked fun!

Whenever I come back to town I always make sure to come to Alteas! Food and service are fantastic. They never miss and their food is great! It's a great brunch spot that I can't recommend enough!

Breakfast Poutine w/ side of corned beef hash

Went for a Valentine's Day brunch with friends! Food - incredibly good, I highly recommend the breakfast poutine. Lots of flavor and the kielbasa was amazing! My bf got the corned beef hash, he mentioned it was good but very dry. He was rather eating my plate more than his own. I would say the corned beef hash is interesting as it has homefries mixed in, which was a bit much for us. Service - quick, got us in and got all of our orders correct even with a full house. We waited approx. 40 mins for a table though for 6 people even though we were quoted 20 mins. Ambiance - the ambiance was good, it's a nice little restaurant and has nice waitresses/waiters. However, for such a busy place, there is literally no parking due to it being so packed. Also, they don't take reservations on weekends, which makes it even tougher. Overall, good experience (besides the wait) and everyone had great food!

To start great downtown location with curbside seating. Parking is difficult so prepare for that. Service here was excellent and the food was great. Our first visit was better than second time so if I had to average both experiences it would be a 3.5 but since first visit was a 5 and second a 3 this past week it's a 4. Monday Labor Day was 1st visit and then again Thursday. Our waitress Monday was A+ but Thursday a 2.5. Reason is my coffee was not brought as she forgot and my side of bacon tasted overcooked left waiting to be picked up as brought over when we were done. Again I believe she forgot both but after reminding her twice we had brought to table. Harvest omelet day one was amazing but on Thursday dry and not so good. The mimosa flight was great idea saves on ordering individual My grandkids came with us on day 1 and loved their meals - French toast and burger. Also our first waitress seemed more experienced.

Food is always consistent. Not super pricey but around $17 for the omelette. Great drink menu and awesome service as always

They have creative menu selections. We tried something new and different for us - chicken waffles. The maple butter really made it nice Also Nutella crepes were lovely with both strawberries and banana. I love that they offer Polar beverages Service was pleasant and the staff seemed to all pitch in and help each other. It was nice to see.

Great local modern cafe with French style influence. Moderately priced with simple, fresh and whole tasting foods. The baguettes were toasted well with soft interior. Friendly service with a smile and they checked on us throughout our meal. Food came out within 5-10 minutes and the bottomless coffee is a nice option! Spacious interior and lots of seating.

enjoyed a nice breakfast at altea's and although it was packed, we were able to get a table with no wait. they have plenty of tables of all sizes for any group size. shakshuka 8.5/10 short rib benedict 5/10 the shakshuka is tasty and filling, but it could have used another egg and more bread with it. the short rib benedict was okay, the short rib was not seasoned but it's a good idea with better execution. overall i'd get the shakshuka again or try their other options. ambiance: 2.5/5 food: 3.3/5 service: 3/5 altea's eatery: 3/5

Stumbled upon this local spot while driving through Worcester and beyond lucky as found it. Parking is paid street parking or there are select free off street lots if you can find a spot. We had a 15 minute wait as it was fully packed so we ventured the surrounding stores and timed it perfectly. WOW! Everything from my latte to beignets was out of this world delicious. My latte was the perfect amount of bitter to sweetness from the caramel. I ordered the caramel apple crepes for a nice mid day snack. The crepes were crisp but fluffy and packed with flavor. The apples were perfectly sautéed inside and topped off with whipped cream and walnuts. My boyfriend ordered the braised short rib sandwich with home fries. It was a huge portion and the home fries came with mixed in fried onions. The short rib was tender and a well portioned amount. Our server Cara was an absolute delight. She was so charming and personable and checked in frequently for how crazy busy the restaurant was. We were stuffed and both had leftovers to take home but we could not resist ordering the sugared spice beignets. Highly recommend they were crunchy and soft and fluffy inside. The beignets come with a fresh strawberry sauce and whipped cream which were a great balance to the sugary sweetness. I could not get over how amazing the food was and it was all great sized portions for very reasonable prices. If you are in the Worcester area Altea's Eatery is an absolute MUST TRY!

The breakfast my wife and I ordered was fantastic. I had the corn beef hash and she had the popcorn chicken. Each was very filling and we did not finish our plates. Our waitress was very friendly and explained the dishes on the menu. The place is very family friendly, yet couples could share a moment here.

I freaking LOVE this place omg I would eat here everyday if I had the funds to. All the food is amazing and addicting and huge. So let's go one by one: *Popcorn chicken Benedict- crunchy and hot popcorn chicken with a (I think chipotle?) sauce. My eggs on this one were unfortunately not runny like how I like them to be in eggs Benedict, but still good. I always switch out the fries with a side salad which is an extra cost but it just goes so much better, the make the meal feel as heavy. *Corned beef Benedict- As you can see I love eggs Benedict in different fonts. Also very good, the eggs were indeed runny in this one. Beef is not too salty like how it sometimes is in corned beef. *Tres leches French toast- wow. I'm actually not too big of a sweet tooth, but this was perfect as dessert. It looks and sounds unbareably sweet, but surprisingly it's not as sweet as you would expect? But still sweet? Idk it was a good balance. I definitely couldn't eat this as my actual meal though, this should be reserved for dessert. *Breakfast poutine- My boyfriend got this one, it's pretty good. He really enjoyed it but personally I wouldn't order it for myself because it's very heavy and I would probably get heartburn. The only downside is that it can get pretty busy, and you may have to wait to get seated. Also since it's busy sometimes the waiters are frazzled and service is a bit slow so don't come here if you're in a rush. However that's not the waiters' fault, they are always very nice and trying their best! With it being busy, it can get a bit loud and depending on where your seat is, you may be sitting shoulder to shoulder with the dude at the table next to you. But it's kind of a vibe?

Good Breakfast if your looking for something that's non traditional that you usually see at a diner. Their bacon could be crispier and there French toast could be thinner but that's my personal preference ! 3.5/5 read more

ABSOLUTE BRUNCH PERFECTION. We arrived for brunch the Sat before Easter, almost all 13 of us. We were pleasantly greeted & seated within 30 min (they do not take reservations). Impressed already? :) The server was happy to have us and they did not seem to mind delaying ordering while we awaited some late arrivals. While we conversed, our server was attentive and kept our drinks full. We ordered and that's where this place shines. ALL of our food came out at the SAME TIME! It was gorgeous, delicious, & expertly prepared. Plates were cleared promptly and no one seemed to mind when I karate chopped a mimosa. Hahahahaha. This place is worth every penny and I am now a dedicated customer! Go there! You will not be disappointed. read more

First time visiting Altea's the morning of the Worcester St. Patrick's Parade. Thank goodness we arrived early a bit after 9:00 because it was packed by the time we got finished our meal. I tried the vegetable harvest omelet and it was absolutely delicious! We will definitely be visiting again! read more

Althea's is an absolute must when in the Worcester area. I'm even hesitant to rate this hidden secret as I don't want to wait too long next time I visit. We had the eggs Benedict with salmon and delicious hand cut home fries. My friends had the Nutella Banana Crepes and an Apple Crepe both of which were delicious. The staff is friendly and efficient without rushing you. I look forward to returning soon. read more

I've been here a couple of times before and I always enjoy it. The restaurant itself isn't that big and it's a very popular spot so they get full really fast, if you are coming here I suggest coming as early as possible especially on a Sunday. Now let's get into the food, LOVE IT! I need to start being a little more adventurous and ordering other menu items besides just steak and fries but their steak is so good I can't help it! Their omelettes are pretty good too and their portion sizes are very generous. I'm not big on mimosas because I prefer other cocktails but their mimosas were on point the last time I had them and you have the option to order different types of juices so you can try other flavors of mimosas if you are not a fan of orange juice. The staff is friendly and during the summer you have an outside patio option if the weather permits and you don't want to be inside. I would for sure recommend this place if you want a good brunch. read more

Was excited to try breakfast/brunch here on a Sunday morning. We were told it was a 20 minute wait, left our phone number but stayed close by to hear our name. Once we waited for 50 minutes we went up and checked our name and turns out the hostess had our phone number down wrong. She also had another couples phone number wrong as well. Completely understandable mistake but they had crossed our name off the list and hadn't even tried to call our name out in the lobby. Food was really good, the Pain Perdue french toast was so delicious, hot caramel latte was great, the iced caramel latte was very watered down but i guess that's to be expected. Overall loved the food, i just would like the check-in process to be better! read more

Great place for brunch! We went on a Saturday morning and were welcomed by a 10-15 minute wait. I was skeptical that it was actually only going to be 10-15 minutes due to the amount of people waiting in the hallway outside the restaurant. However, right around the 15 minute mark, our party of 4 was called. We were immediate greeted by our friendly waitress with a bottle of water and asked if we wanted anything other than water to start. We got coffee (family breakfast), but the bar drinks look really good and I can't wait to go back and try them. Our food came fast and everyone liked their selections. The environment was bustling, but not overwhelming and Alteas has brunch down to a science. Will definitely be back. read more

Wish I took pictures before, but I dug in too fast! I had the Nutella crepe, brisket Benny, iced caramel cappuccino, and a croissant! Woooowwweeee I stuffed my face. I'm definitely coming back, not just for the food, but for my server Alexis! Her personality is better pick me up than a cup of coffee in the morning! Also, the host was extremely sweet aswell! Came here based upon the reviews. Was a bit disappointed. My hash meal, for $15, consisted of two good poached eggs but both the hash and potatoes were very undercooked. More like just warmed up. The hollandaise sauce was almost nonexistent and lacked a flavor. My wife tried the breakfast poutine and said the fries were very soggy. She did not eat her meal. My daughter got a breakfast sandwich and was also unimpressed. This place had the potential to knock this one out of the park. The kitchen needs to do a better job finishing up cooking the meals. I would definitely give it another chance because of the potential but if this was one time for me, this place gets chopped... read more

The Irish coffee was made with watery coffee and too much whiskey. My side salad had a random banana slice in it. The eggs on my benedict were overcooked. The homefries were underdone. You also have to search for the matcha in the matcha pancakes. I do not recommend this place. read more

Atmosphere was nice. Service was good. The water glasses were covered in a residue as well as the water carafe the waitress brought. Our forks were greasy as well. Started off not impressed. We ordered the french toast and cornbeef hash. Online the french toast had candied pecans. In house it was plain walnuts. Not bad but being given the heel for french toast made it tough and not delicious. I dont recommend it at all. The blueberries were the only thing that gave it flavor and the "chantilly cream" flat. The cornbeef hash was all potatoes with a sprinkle of cornbeef and could have used a little more hollandaise. The only reason they got 2 stars instead of 1 was for the waitress who was nice and helpful. Not worth driving too!!! read more

I'd been wanting to try this place for awhile and finally decided to stop by on a Sunday. I was pleased. Although it was rather busy, my party of two was seated quickly. The waiters were very attentive and friendly. For starters we had the apple walnut crepes and beignets. As an entree, I ordered the smoked salmon omelette. I can't remember the name of the waffles we ordered but I posted a pic below. Everything was prepared and served quickly, as well. There is no bottomless mimosa option but their mimosas are good. Parking is on the street but it was easy finding a spot. read more

We ha e gone several times and it is always well worth the wait. The bucket of bubbly is fun for a girls brunch. I always recommend anything with the croissants and even take some ordered to go. They are great with kids. I have a 1.5 year old and they have an activity for the kids and accommodate highchairs. read more

My husband and I decided to try a new place for breakfast so we decided on Altea's eatery. Upon walking in we were greeted immediately and seated at a table for two. We were approached by a staff member and given our own large glass bottle of cold water, he also filled our glasses for us! I loved that small but nice touch. We ordered coffee which was brought quickly and was quite tasty! I informed the server of my Celiac Disease and he was awesome with pointing out what was safe for me. He was very knowledgeable and quickly told us the specials! Our food was out quickly and had a perfect portion! I really enjoyed this little spot and I look forward to going there again in the future! read more

I was on my way to livia's dish but I heard about a relative opening altea?! I came to try it out and it was amazing. The food came out at a great timing and was also delicious, and our waiter always came to check up on us for refills on coffee! I sat near the window which opens and it just reminded me when I was overseas drinking a cup of coffee and enjoying the breeze. Although I feel as if the interior should be updated, as in the back of the diner had more decor while the front was a blank canvas, I will still come back for that window seat!! read more

We woke up famished after a long evening of hardcore music and made it our mission to find a solid spot for steak & eggs. We did NOT fail this mission. Altea's had one of the best flatiron breakfast steaks I've ever had. Perfectly medium and seasoned just right. The eggs were scrambled to my delight. The meal also came with a side of potatoes I would have preferred slightly more crispy but delicious nonetheless. The waitress was a delight, full of smiles & pleasantries: she managed to stay on top of everything and did so with out an overwhelming, looming presence. I highly recommend this location for a 2-4 person brunch! read more

Came to this place with my boyfriend yesterday, and let me tell you the service is lovely. There's a bit of a wait but the food is worth it. I'm back here again today and i'm having the same thing, the Brunch burger with raw onions and hard eggs! Hands down best hash I've eaten anywhere. I also tried the blueberry ricotta pancakes which were deelish. The iced coffee was flavorful, rich but not bitter. The place is clean, airy, spacious. The staff are friendly and helpful and the other customers are gracious. I loved eating here. read more

This is definitely one of my favorite places for brunch! Though the wait is long to be seated, the friendly staff and the food makes it worth it! We always tend to write when we have bad experiences but forget to take time to write good things. The owner seems super friendly and on her toes to make sure things are running well. Excellent food & drinks!! I don't mind driving 30 minutes and wait another 20 minutes to taste their delicious food! read more

Stopped in while on a wedding weekend in Worcester. A diamond in the rough. Awesome food choices with some fun alcoholic options (cotton candy Prosecco). Six of us dined with 4 getting lunch and 2 breakfast. All were lovely plated - cooked to perfection and oh so delicious. The staff are friendly, efficient and have a sense of humor. A++ establishment. A must if you are in the neighborhood. read more

I've eaten here a few times. The menu is definitely filled with a lot of new agey brunch items. My favorite would be the huge French toast. They have mimosas in which they sell by the glass or pitcher. No bottomless here. My biggest thing with Alteas is they need a new location or another location. It's always packed which is a good thing and a bad thing. read more

OMG! Pure foodie-gasm!! Got the French toast with blueberries and walnuts. So nom! During the crisis I order delivery and it arrived still hot and fresh. So it made the commute across the town to me well. Not only tasty food but well prepared even for travel. Bravo Altea's! read more

We went to this place because a friend had heard it was good and recommended it to us. From the get go, we should've gotten up and walked out. We were given the beverage menu and as a soda drinker my first impression was ick, Polar beverages, I'm out. I haven't even ordered my food yet and I'm already never coming back. The menu was very limited, many things were described in ways we didn't understand, imho we prefer things to be kept simple. If we have to have a discussion with the wait staff about what kind of cheese is on out omelette it's gonna take too long, there was nothing simple about this menu and it was pricey. I ended up ordering what thought would be and "easy" bacon and eggs which came with potatoes which were admittedly amazing and the only reason I didn't give it only one star. I ordered my eggs over medium and two of them were raw and one was over cooked, how does that happen? The cook got distracted and dropped the eggs at different times? It was disgusting and one of the eggs had egg shells in it. There was no choice of toast, the toast was a kind of French or Italian bread hardly toasted at all with a scant amount of butter on it. My husband had the rib omelette which was way over cooked. The ribs themselves were yummy once you picked them out of the overcooked eggs but whoever was on the grill has no business cooking eggs or maybe they need to pay more attention. So, bottom line is, hefty price tag for sub par food. We will not be going back. It's unfortunate because we like to go out for breakfast and have been looking for a good breakfast place other than our usual stand byes and trying to think outside the box but maybe we need to just stay creatures of habit. read more

Excellent Service and Quick Food, with a Minor Blemish I recently dined at Altea in Worcester, MA, and overall, I had a fantastic experience. The service provided was truly exceptional, and the speed at which the food was served was impressive. The staff at Altea was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was enjoyable. They promptly took my order, checked on me throughout the meal, and were always ready to assist with any requests. The level of service truly made me feel valued as a customer. Additionally, the speed at which my food arrived was remarkable. I appreciated that despite the busy atmosphere, the kitchen staff efficiently prepared and delivered my meal without any significant delay. It was evident that the restaurant prioritized the timely delivery of their delicious dishes. However, there was one minor issue that I encountered during my visit. When my beverage was served, I noticed that the cup had lipstick stains on it, which was quite off-putting. Although it was a small hiccup in an otherwise exceptional dining experience, attention to detail in cleanliness is crucial. Nonetheless, despite this minor blemish, I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Altea. The outstanding service, combined with the speedy delivery of delectable food, more than made up for the unfortunate cup incident. Remember that Monty Python skirt where a guy walks into the abuse room... well that's what we got today. This was the second time we went there. The food was just so so the first time and I swore I would never go back. We rode our bikes there locked them up and brought our water bottles in with us. We were told that they were allowed. The Manager said, "The reason you can't bring them in is because I don't know you don't have something in them that you shouldn't." (There we were, a middle-aged couple, pointing our bicycles out the window, be lectured by a manager about how troublesome college students are... Hey, we haven't been in college for over 30 years!) I tried to explain that she might want to be a little more flexible, that we are part of a growing bicycling community in Worcester and that bicyclists don't like leaving their water bottles on their bikes, in the sun and out of sight, but the Manager was too busy arguing and lecturing than to listen. We decided that the experience had been deflated far enough and we would stay for what was sue to be a set of disappointing dishes. We paid for the drinks we ordered and left. I swore once before that I'd never go back because the place is over-priced for the quality and quantity of food. This time I mean it. I took my mom here for breakfast early one morning on a whim- I've never even heard of it, but it's where she wanted to eat. I was incredibly surprised by the quality of the menu. The choices were all exceptionally priced and the entire place was very peaceful. Parking was confusing until we figured out where the back lot was- NOT THE CAMERA PLACE. This lovely little European bistro has served me breakfast and lunch. It is tastefully adorned with images of Paris and New York. The food is of excellent quality and is reasonably priced.
