Mr. Bahram M did an excellent job installing one wall mount Level 2 EV charger in my garage with a permit from the city of Sunnyvale. The job was a bit complicated, but he did very carefully with a reasonable price. I am very pleased with his work and service. Thank YOU! read more

Bahram and his team were amazing. We had to undergo a forced remodel on our downstairs after a faulty water heater flooded our house. In spite of all the chaos we decided to add recessed lighting and a ceiling fan to our living room. A couple of electricians quoted us, many asking for a deposit for an on-site visit, but Bahram reached out to us quickly and provided the fairest quote. As we had ongoing construction, he worked with our schedule and assured us he would be done with the work before we moved back in which he did. We even added additional lighting/ceiling fan replacements in the kitchen and the work on that room was great as well. What really set him apart was his amazing customer service even after the job was done. I replaced the recessed lighting fixtures in our living room and inadvertently turned the whole system off. He walked me through resetting my breakers and diagnosed the problem over the phone after that didn't work. With his help I was able to fix the mess I had created which I will be forever grateful! I will definitely be reaching out to him with any future projects. read more

I ended up getting a lot of quotes for this fairly simple job, installing an outlet for an electric vehicle. This Santa Clara power company offers a rebate but requires a building permit and a lot of electricians balked at that. Bahram's answer was always, "no problem." He answers messages promptly and clearly. He showed up on time. Worked very cleanly (laying down plastic to catch the dust, even though the work was in the garage). Very nice work. Handled all the communications with the city. Fair price. I'm verrrrry happy with his work. read more

I have been Barham's customer for many years. He is honest and reliable. His pricing is also competitive. He helped me with recessed lighting, outdoor outlet installation, and many other household electrical work. I recently had an issue with my circuit breaker that would have left me with no power in the evening (when there is no solar output). He responded to my text within minutes and came over within the hour. This is a Sunday no less. I am so grateful that we have a long standing biz relationship. read more

Reached out to him to get an estimate for an electrical work that I had in mind. After explaining what I wanted to be done, he replied with a much better way to do it, and taught me how to do it myself over the phone. Clean quality work. They were here when they said they were going to be and got the job done fairly quickly. Will definitely use them again in the future, if we have any electrical needs. read more

I chose Altap because of their excellent Yelp ratings and I was not disappointed. My call was answered immediately and soon I had an appointment for them to come out. Excellent business. I needed a 240V outlet and a level 2 EV charger installed. I know little to nothing about electrical stuff, but ultimately it didn't matter because Altap got the job done! They were quick, professional, and did whatever electrical behind the scenes work that is required to install a 240V outlet and charger, and more so, they did it at a great price. Scheduling them to come out was quick and easy, too. Fast, friendly, well-priced electrical service - that about sums Altap up! Definitely recommend them for your electrical service needs. read more

Bahram upgraded my electrical panel. He was very reasonable and friendly to work with. Very efficient communication, handles city permit and schedule inspection, reasonable price and good quality work. I would hire him again for future electrical jobs. read more

Bahram installed our recessed lights and we are pretty happy with the results. He had very transparent pricing with no surprises along the way and was fast and efficient at getting the job done. There were one or two small mistakes made (normal for such a big job) but he quickly fixed them without issues. read more

Just finished the project with Bahram. I woke up in the morning and half of master BD's outlets are out. I restarted the breaker and it didn't work. I searched on Yelp for an Electrician near me, and Altap was one of the choices. My issue turns out very similar to R L.'s issues, neutral wire shorted. Bahram came in few mines before the appointment time, made sure the breaker panel was working, then he went to the room and found the troubled outlet, replaced the wire, and he was done in about 40 mins. I paid his fee and material, the whole process took about an hour. It was fantastic since I was in a meeting call and had to control my barking dog. He was able to navigate the whole chaos with calm and ease. Thanks! read more

I need to upgrade my panel to 200A for solar system. I agreed to have my solar company to do panel upgrade but I didnt see it move forwards when I talked to the project manager. He told me I can have other electrician do it for me as from their side nothing has been done so I asked for the quote. Bahram gave me the most reasonable quote. He patiently gave me details of what need to be done and the process with city and PGE in a few phone calls. Bahram spent time to help me find the solar-ready panel which solar company requested which seems to be not available in any stores. I was so happy with that I sent email to Bahram to accept his proposal. Oh then right after that I got email from the solar project manager guy told me he just knew the electrical department got permit and they already set the installation date for me. I was so surprise and disappointed. I contacted Bahram right the way to discuss about that. He suggested me to continue with the solar guy as it is part of my whole project and he didn't think he can get permit/inspection faster from PGE and he would be totally fine with that. Thank you very much for your time and definitely I will come to you for any future electricity project. read more

I just want to say that our experience with Bahram and Altap Electrical has been nothing short of perfect. One of the most concerning aspects of hiring contractors is the fear of being taken advantage of, and I can say that you do not have to worry about that with Bahram/Altap. He is one of the most trustworthy contractors that I have had the pleasure to work with. Most of the time, he was spending time convincing me to cut out unnecessary work and suggested ways to save me money. Also he completed the work in a timely manner and was always there on time as promised. I will be continuing to work with Altap for any electrical needs, and I highly suggest you do the same. read more

Bahram and Altap Electrical have been my 'go-to' electrician for a few years now. I've used a couple of other companies over the years and they have been good too, but Altap is my 'go-to' because Bahram is really responsive and will come and take care of the issues quickly. No frills, but certainly quality work! He did my recessed lighting and also other various outdoor lighting fixtures. read more

Highly recommend Bahram and his team! Bahram is a great guy to work with, very trustworthy, friendly and responsive. He and his team are very experienced and good at what they do. We wanted to get recessed lighting and some electrical work done in our house, and Bahram was recommended to us by a family friend. Bahram first visited and assessed the lighting and electrical work and gave useful tips and recommendations, and also told us what work was essential and what work was unnecessary. We decided on a date for the work, and Bahram was very accommodating and understanding when we had to adjust the dates slightly. Bahram's team was fast and efficient, and they got the work done in a timely manner. They faced several challenges with the lighting due to the structure of the house/ceilings; however they quickly figured out the solutions and got all the lighting done. The quality of work is top-notch! Also, the pricing and quotes for all the work and parts were very reasonable. Highly recommend ALTAP Electrical! read more

Bahram and Chris did a great job! I would highly recommend them. They helped me run a new circut from my breaker box to an outdoor kitchen I was having installed. They just finished upgrading the main panel to 200 amp, add Tesla wall charger and a dedicated 20 amp line for treadmill. Happy with not just the end result but also the experience of working with them. I got several other quotes, and their quote was most reasonable (close to being lowest). They were on time, came when they said they would, were respectful of the house and cleaned up after. During the first visit they moved a few heavy items in garage and didn't put them back. After my complaint they took care of it next time. On the final visit, they ensured that we have minimal disruption and power outage. Silicon Valley power disconnected power around 9 and we got it back before 4. They planned their work in a way that they finished most of the work in first two visits and got new panel mounted. On the 3rd visit when SVP came to disconnect power in morning, they were able to connect new panel quickly and get SVP back to reconnect power. This ensured that there was little to no risk of work not finishing on the day after power disconnect and us having to stay without power for longer than few hours. read more

Our power cut out in the kitchen and the laundry room on a Saturday afternoon. We called Bahram at Altap Electrical, and he helped us over the phone even though he was busy. Altap Electrical is one of the Bay Area's best. My family and I just purchased our first home in the Blossom Valley area of San Jose. During our final inspections, we were notified that the electrical panel on the home was a fire hazard and should be replaced. Zynsco. I reached out to Altap, and Bahram responded promptly and wanted to come check out the panel. I had sent him a few photos so he could get an idea of the scope of work as well. After the visit, he let me know what the cost for the full panel replacement would be. He provided a fair competitive quote and also gave a clear and concise timeline of install. Bahram and the team started work at around 830am once PGE showed up. They finished around 1230pm! Once PGE showed up for the final sign off, the inspector from PGE said "one of the cleanest install's I have seen". That right there let me know that Altap is a class organization. Hats off to the Altap team and thank you for your hard and quick work! read more

Just echoing back whatever has been already said by everyone. We got couple of exterior outlets and security cameras installed. Excellent service all around. - Right on time and finished everything as soon as possible. - Spread blankets wherever they are walking/working, so that they don't muddy the floors. Cleaned up everything afterwards. - Kept the drywall cuts to as minimum as possible and patched up everything afterwards. read more

If you dont have an electrician that you trust, Altap should be your next call!! I normally dont trust the reviews here, but this one is real. Bahram is one of those guys that you dont feel like you are getting ripped off when you talk to him. He also really knows his stuff. Pricing is very fair for the amount of knowledge, experience, and the quality of work that you get. Do yourself a favor and save his number if you live in his service area. He is prompt, responsive, and very reliable. He took care of an issue in my rental property promptly and followed up several times when I had a lingering issue which turned out to be PG&E's problem. read more

I need to replace all of my kitchen GFCI electrical sockets because they are not working properly anymore. Bahram arrived within the time period as schedule. He is very professional and knowledgeable. Definitely use them again if I have future electrical service needs. read more

Bahram is awesome! Super friendly, knowledgeable and quick to respond. I highly recommend Altap Electrical. I used the ThumbTack app to find an electrician to diagnose an electrical problem with my house. Everytime an appliance was turned on, the lights in my house dimmed significantly. I engaged another electrical contractor and they came out to my house and spent over an hour informing me that my 17 year old 200 amp electrical panel needed to be replaced as well as all of the electrical wiring in my 60 year old house to the tune of $66K. After receiving this distressing news, I decided to ditch the ThumbTack app and went onto Yelp and found Altap Electrical. I sent an email to the company and the owner immediately responded and asked me to send some photos of my electrical panel. He then said that there is no way that the other contractor could be correct. He asked if he could see the panel in person and I agreed. When Bahram arrived, he immediately said the issue I was experiencing was not due to the panel, nor the wiring in the house. He advised to call PG&E immediately and inform them that I had an emergency. I followed Bahram's advice and PG&E immediately came out and diagnosed the issue as an "open neutral" on their side of the meter. Apparently, squirrels chewed through the wire on the power pole causing the situation. After PG&E replaced the wire at no charge to me, my power was restored to its normal condition. No dimming of lights whatsoever. Bahram's time and expertise was definitely worth his service charge. I have already referred Altap Electrical to a friend at work and I heartily recommend them for any Yelper's electrical needs. read more

For some reason half the circuit on the same breaker was off while the other half was on. They came the same day to inspect the issue, and was able to diagnose the problem very quickly. This is the interesting part - turns out it was an issue caused by a shorted neutral wire in a DIFFERENT circuit The electrician was able to trace to the source and fix it. Total time took 30min, mow the power is working normal again! I definitely appreciate the speed of the whole interaction with Altap, weird power issue like this can mean a loose live wire somewhere in the walls, I was very scared of a potential fire hazard in this situation, especially during this COVID situation. Thanks Altap for your fast support to put our family's mind at ease! read more

I had to upgrade my electricity panel for additional capacity to support air conditioning install. I reached out to Altap electrical based on Yelp review and I was not disappointed. He was quick to pick up the call and suggested keeping the price low and not ripping out the old panel housing from the wall. Got my electricity panel upgraded by Bahram (owner). He also installed couple of power outlets in the house. He did a solid job with good results. I had some issues with power not returning to the section of the house connected to one particular fuse, and Bahram was quick to come over multiple times to resolve the issue. One minor quirk with him: He always picks up the phone within couple of rings, which has a side effect of being frequently interrupted by others customers while he is explaining you something. read more
