One of our main panel switches went out with spark and kept tripping, so we lost power for some part of our house. Yesterday, one electrician from a different company came in, investigated about an hour, concluded it'll take a full day job to locate the shortage, and quoted $1,800. Then, I contacted GES, and Hormoz came to our house at 7:45am as the first appointment in the morning. He fixed the issue in a similar amount of time that the other electrician needed just for triaging, and charged me only one third of their quote. Hormoz is very knowledgeable, trustworthy, and kind to explain the details. I definitely recommend GES and Hormoz for anyone needing electrician help. read more

I'm interested in more projects with them in the future. read more

Outstanding company with great communication, fantastic work and reasonable prices. Edwin came over to give a quote and he sent over the estimate very quickly. He scheduled his team to put in can lights in our library and to switch out all of our outlets after having the interior painted. Excellent job and we couldn't be happier. The crew worked all day without a break. So kind and considerate too. Highly recommended read more

Through Yelp, I found and called General Electric Services on 5/20/2026 and spoke with Edwin the owner. I requested a quote to install interconnected smoke alarms in three bedrooms and one combination smoke and carbon monoxide alarm in the hall outside the three bedrooms. He quoted me a very fair price over the phone and said it would take two hours to complete the job. With some magic scheduling, he was able to start at 8 a.m. the next day (5/21/2026). He showed up on time with two of his team members and completed the work in two hours as promised. During the job, Edwin was very kind to have found and replace a breaker in the service panel that had a broken tab on the breaker housing without an additional charge. Overall, Edwin and his team completed the job as quoted. It was a pleasure to work with them. Thanks Edwin and team. read more

Hormoz and his crew are top notch. They are polite, punctual, professional and their work is top quality while being extremely competitive cost. I have had work done by them twice and from here on out I will be relying on their services. The first work they did for me was installing a light fixture and wiring it to my existing light switch. They made extremely quick work of this (maybe 30 minutes) and even threw in a dimmer switch for free! The second contract was to wire my office for two additional 20 Amp outlets (I have to run a computer lab out of my office and was tripping my existing 15 amp breakers). Once again, their pricing was very competitive and incredibly, they finished the job installing the breakers, wiring and cutting a new 4 outlet box all in less than an hour. I have been running eight high end gaming PCs and a portable AC in that room without a single hiccup. Do not hesitate for a second considering Hormoz and his crew for your next electrical project; they are amongst the best people that I have ever employed for any job. Lastly, if you are concerned about COVID 19 exposure as a reason for not getting electrical work done be assured that their staff all wears masks and shoe covers at all times. read more

We had a major wire meltdown on Christmas day and needed immediate help to get our kitchen running again. We were referred to GES thru a mutual connection and Edwin was very responsive. Even though they were very busy, he triaged the issue based on the picture I sent him, and told us how we could fix it ourselves. But we insisted for him to do the job, and he quoted a very fair price and showed up exactly when he said he would in the afternoon of the same day. They fixed our problem in less than half hour and we couldn't be happier. I highly recommend them and would contact them again for future projects. read more

One of my bathroom exhaust fans stopped working. Thought it could be a fan problem (which it turned out to be) and got a new one. Retaining the box with wiring, I replaced the fan to a new one. Once installed the light came on but the fan did not spin. Requested for service on Yelp and contacted General Electric Services based on their Yelp reviews. Edwin contacted me promptly and told him about the problem. He said they would be able to come in the afternoon and would text me about the exact time. Hormoz and Edwin showed up within a couple of hours in the morning. Explained in person and Hormoz took a look at the situation. He removed the new fan I installed (myself) and then started laughing at me. He mentioned it was a $1000 bingo I had to pay him. He told me that I forgot to connect the power to the fan and only connected the LED power. He took care of the installation and now it's all good. They also gave me recommendations for better exhaust fans and I noted it down. Thanks a lot, Hormoz and Edwin for your prompt service. I have told them that some other projects will be coming up and at that time I will surely contact them. read more
