i've been picking up cookies from their driveway and fair booths for a bit so it's so cool to see a brick and mortar! talented and creative ladies, i used to order custom cookies for birthdays during the pandemic, i haven't done that in a while but the shop is a nice place to hang for a bit, play a game and eat all the cookies

Love! Was introduced to Altadena Cookie by a friend. I've not had a cookie that was bad. I love the flavor options and that it's a place that's focused on community. We've had the personalized cookies at work and the artistry is amazing! It's a great place to pick up gifts for friends or a sweet treat for yourself.

I bought 4 cookies and they were absolutely perfect, soft in the center with just the right crunch around the edges. The flavor selections were fantastic. The space itself is super thoughtful, welcoming, and even has fun vintage arcade games, which was such a nice touch. Parking was easy too. Definitely a place we'll be coming back to!

I absolutely love this company! They started back in 2020 baking right out of their home kitchens -- truly one of the sweetest parts of Covid. We used to look forward to every single pickup order! Our favorite cookie is the Fluffernutter (a peanut-butter lover's dream!), but we're also obsessed with the cookie brittle (SO good!) and the sinful cinnamon rolls... drool-worthy! When they opened their storefront recently, I was genuinely thrilled for them. After everything they've been through -- including personal tragedy, losing one of their homes in the devastating Altadena fire, and almost losing their shop -- these women have risen from the ashes like true phoenixes. The shop itself is adorable. I love all the artwork, the arcade games, and the fun extras like soft serve, meringues, and COOKIE CAKES! (And Dole Whip and floats coming soon!) It's absolutely a spot worth checking out.

Very cute and welcoming cookie shop! We tried the cookies and cream and the sugar cookie (recommended by whom I believe was the owner's son) and both cookies were delicious! We would love to come back and try more.

We should have allowed that to be our indiscretion for the day. But nooooo. Mr. B can smell sinfully yummy calories, even with a bag over his head, a mile away. Their specialty... chocolate croissants. Thus, we let Artisanal Goods lure us in. No parking, way too busy, way too full to seat us, a line bursting out the door, the tiny bakery cafe still seduced us. That is, Mr B circled the block in the car but pushed me out to get in line. It was the idea of a flaky, buttery, chocolate croissant crumbling all over his shirt that made him do it. And I had no intention of saying no. The line went quickly. The last Kouign Amann had just escaped my clutches to the guy in front of me, darn it. But there were still trays upon trays of freshly baked, massive chocolate croissants displayed in their custom, wood display case right next to the register. Sorry about no pictures, but you know how things get out of hand sometimes. However if you want to experience an orgasm in pastry form, I suggest you high tail it here.

Instead of feeling welcomed, I felt like I was inconveniencing them just by ordering. A friendly attitude goes a long way, and that was completely missing. The coffee was even more disappointing. It had almost no flavor and tasted watered down, especially for the price. I expected a quality drink, but it was bland and absolutely not worth what I paid. To make matters worse, we were told to leave the patio an hour before the shop was even closing. If the patio has different hours, that should be clearly communicated instead of asking paying customers to leave early. Overall, this was a frustrating experience. Between the unfriendly service, flavorless coffee, and being asked to leave well before closing, I won't be coming back. There are plenty of other cafés in Pasadena that offer much better coffee and treat their customers with respect.

We didn't have any of the brunch dishes this visit--we specifically came for the coffee and pastries--but after this experience, we'll definitely be coming back to try the food next time. The cortado was made with Boxx Coffee Roasters beans, and after chatting with the barista, I learned they also have a dedicated water filtration system specifically for their coffee. That level of attention to detail isn't something you expect from every brunch café, and it definitely showed in the final cup. The cortado was well executed. The milk was smoothly integrated with the espresso, creating a balanced body that held together throughout the drink instead of separating after a few sips. It was served in the proper glass with clean presentation and solid latte art. The temperature was slightly hotter than my personal preference, which is understandable in a brunch setting, but overall it was a great cortado and far better than what many brunch cafés serve. The pain au chocolat was outstanding as well and a perfect pairing with the cortado. The service made the visit even better. Our server, Michael (aka Bev), was welcoming, attentive, and provided excellent service from start to finish. I also had the chance to compliment the barista on the cortado. Although I didn't get her name, she was very kind, took a few minutes to explain their coffee program, and shared that they use Boxx Coffee beans along with a dedicated water system to ensure the cleanest possible cup. It's always nice to meet people who genuinely care about what they're serving. Overall, Oh La La exceeded my expectations. It's refreshing to find a brunch café that puts this much effort into its coffee program while also serving great pastries. I'll definitely be back--next time for the food as well.

I know that food is super expensive these days, but it was too much for what it was. The jambon beurre was not traditional; the baguette was so thick and wide, which overpowered the ham and cheese. The chicken club was nothing to write home about. On the plus side, the pastries were fantastic. I even tolerated the raisins so I could devour the orange wheel croissant. Monkey bread was perfect, not too sweet.

Capriciousa Pizza Italian Sub made with focaccia Fresh made Tiramisu I have to admit I did not know what to expect. I was incredibly surprised as I unpacked my to-go order. The aroma from all the food made my kitchen smell very Italian. The pizza was amazing with olives, mushrooms, and artichokes and of course fresh mozzarella. The Italian sub was impressive. The fresh focaccia with the meats and cheese was a great combination. Great bite and chew. It also came with a great side salad. Fresh lettuce selection and tomatoes with some sliced onions. I came back sooner than I had planned because the food was so good and ordered the pizzetta and a side salad. The pizzetta is now my favorite item. Fresh Focaccia topped with tomato sauce and mushrooms, garlic, herbs and spices. The Tiramisu tasted as good as it looked. Moist and full of flavor. The chocolate topping satisfies that chocolate craving. This was a larger piece than I had expected. Nice neighborhood boutique businesses with parking available in a lot off of Villa Street.
