This place was absolute ass. I have never in my life experienced such carelessness in a customer service setting. The service was terrible. There was really only one lady waiting tables and even SHE was bad at her job. She never visited tables frequently during their meals to check on them. The food I ordered was brought out to me about 25 minutes after it was finished being prepared. I watched my pasta sit on the counter for 25 minutes before a waiter brought it to my table. Needless to say, the pasta was cold. I also ordered French fries, got chips instead. I ordered a pepperoni pizza and it was burnt. I asked for salt and pepper to be brought to my table and never received it. Not to mention, when I sat down, all the tables were dirty. Please do not come here. read more

Stopped in today as I was waiting for my flight in terminal A. Extremely, extremely nice waitress who gave great service as I sat at the bar. Got the turkey sandwich and it was pretty mid, but did the job for airport food. A little pricey for what it was... ended up being $20+ for just a sandwich and a soda, so with a good tip it was up to $25. Not unhappy, but just a very average experience - hence the 3 stars. read more

my standards for airport dining are pretty damn low, and this place managed to lower them. at 2pm, they are out of half the menu. shittiest margarita i've ever had was $17, food looks like shit (i only had the garlic bread, fine for this place, but would never order that if i were out). it's no surprise for airport food to be overpriced, but the service was particularly terrible. i asked to move from the bar to a table and was told i could, then scolded for it, despite having been given the ok and sitting in an empty section, at 2pm in the afternoon, after already checking out. then, another server (who i never spoke with) glared at me the whole time. i would have ordered more of a waiter had come to ask, but i was given stink eye the whole time. i cashed out at the bar, and was happy to pay for more drinks & table service, but i was ignored, and they lost out on more orders & tips. avoid this place at the boston airport. every place to eat is overpriced, but hopefully somewhere else wouldn't be this terrible an experience. read more

I came for breakfast. The menu is very limited so I got the breakfast sandwich and hash browns. The eggs were freshly cooked but the hash brown and bacon were microwaved. Hash brown was cold and chewy. Coffee was good and hot. The service fast and efficient. The two stars is for a 20 breakfast sandwich and coffee if this was 10 maybe it gets 3-3.5 stars. To start, I spent a week in Ireland and on my way back to the states I had multiple flights changed and ultimately had my destination flight cancelled and had to spend the night in Boston. I slept on the floor next to my gate, woke up and found out I was flying out the next morning. I came to Alta Strada for a beverage and had two WONDERFUL bartenders! Maria and Rosmy!! I was minding my own business, thinking I had a bad day then heard a male (not a fucking gentleman) raise his voice, so I turned my head to see what was going on. This asshole, 'manager' named Noldy was berating these two lovely ladies for reasons undisclosed to me. One of the female bartenders is due to have her first child in 2 weeks. I work in healthcare, am very well aware of conversations you can and cannot have in public. This asshole, Noldy, caught my attention when he raised his voice in front of several patrons to hear. EXTREMELY, EXTREMELY unprofessional!!! Great place to have a soda/eat, with wonderful bartenders!! NOLDY, is unprofessional, does not deserve his 'managerial' position and needs to be held accountable. You do not berate females/fellow coworkers in public in the manner he did. I will come back here to see Maria and Rosmy, but Noldy needs to check himself! Very nice Italian eatery in Terminal A with great options for a variety of tastes - we were a 3 generation family dining together. I had the alfredo pasta which was very nice, creamy, and cheesy. Would definitely order it again. The kids wolfed down pizza and fries. Grandparents ordered burgers that were too big and couldn't finish What really set Alta Strada apart was the staff, both servers and management, who went out of their to accommodate all of our requests. My family and I stopped for a nice bit to eat before heading home earlier this evening. This place never disappoints!! I ordered a pizza and asked for it to be well done because I like my crust crispy. They got it right on the money! My husband opted for a sandwich and the baby arugula salad, and it was so good I had to sneak a few bites. My daughter is also a picky eater, so we ordered her the ceaser salad, and she loved it. Everything came out delicious and actually ready to table in no time. We apriciated the nice young lady who was our waitress getting our order in and out with ease. Wow. What a shit show. I looked at the menu and was hesitant at best to order form the airport but the menu said the sandwiches came with fries. I thought great. My daughter is hungry she can at least eat those. So I ordered a turnkey and avocado. Almost a can't miss. So you'd think. I waited 10 minutes. Not bad actually. I got my bag and turned to leave when it felt a little light. I looked and no fires. Ok maybe they overlooked it. Called the front over and said I'm sorry I think you forgot the fries. Oh no we didn't. We ran out. Are you kidding me right now. You would think their lazy ass could put up a sign or something. Instead they shoved an all lettuce salad in my bag and didn't say a word. When I questioned this they brought over the lead and he said unfortunate but our new computer system doesn't allow us to give refunds. Has to come from Corporate. More bullshit. Well. Service was good, although did take a minute to get a waitress, once I did service was great and food came out both fast and good. I sat for a table of one before my flight with my server Jose. Not only was service attentive without feeling rushed but I enjoyed the gorgeous atmosphere and bustle of the restaurant. Great job to the staffing with there being speedy service and staff being knowledgeable on everything going on here as well. Complete and utter rude and terrible customer service, not to mention bad food. I was in line attempting to get a seat. I was waived down by the cashier to place my order and so I did. Upon getting my sandwich 2 minutes later (very cheap ingredients), I sat down at a table to eat it and was told that I couldn't sit there because my order wasn't taken by a waiter. I was puzzled because I wasn't offered a table to begin with, so my order was taken up front. The menus, items and prices were identical but they told me that because I ordered up front, I couldnt sit down. I offered $10 extra just to sit down. They got off my back after that, but I mean c'mon why hassle a customer who just bought a meal and just wants to sit down to eat it?! The place had many tables open, it wasn't busy or lacking space. However, this is one of the first times I've eaten at an airport and received both food and cocktails that I would also be happy with outside of the airport. Grilled chicken blt was great. The food is decent BUT the service is as bad as I've ever experienced at an airport restaurant. When I first sat down 2 employees were having a casual conversation. After 5 minutes one of them came over to take my order. The cook made the plate quick -- good on him. Afterwards I pushed away my plate and put on my mask after I was finished eating.
