The gentleman that answered my call said "Alta pest control, what's bugging you" I laughed too hard at that. But he was incredibly friendly and easy to joke with. He set me up an appointment for two days later. The gentleman who came showed up a little late but called in advance to let us know. He was incredibly kind, especially as the last appointment of his Saturday when I am sure he wanted to go home. He walked around and showed us all of the places that rats could get in and gave us all the details and advice. Both gentleman I encountered were incredibly kind. The best part was the gentleman on the phone told me $200 for the initial but it ended up being significantly cheaper. Great experience. I would highly recommend them! read more

I am very happy with the customer service at Alta. We live near the woods and have a fairly constant problem with mice. Aaron came today and was so friendly and helpful. He had no problem diving into our crawl space and attic to check things out. Last Month Tim was out and did the same thing. So I am changing this rating a little based on what has happened since my last review. I'm still displeased with the downturn of service that I experienced, but Chris and Ethan (the owner/regional guy) have tried hard to make up for it. I've heard from both of them, including one personal visit from Ethan, talking to me about what the results were for the young man that came out and lied about the services performed & what they wanted to do to make up for it. Stole me away from my old pest company only because salesperson so pushy and I was tired. Horrible mistake. Have been with Alta 1 year. Had to call back for re-treatment of 1. Webbing on box wood and pyramidalis 2. Yellow Jackets nest on eve above front door 3. Ants in front garden (Ongoing problem since last Spring) 4 treatments from Alta since then. Called Alta back to try to get Outdoor ant problem solved. They did treatment yesterday. TODAY there are tiny black ants crawling on the hardwood floors in dining room and along side of the pottery barn rug. Also around sink in kitchen. Lived in home 30 years and NEVER had ants INSIDE until this morning. Called Alta; Voicemail says they are CLOSED on Saturday, forced to leave a message. Now on my way to purchase ant traps and home defense to spray inside base boards to try and resolve the problem MYSELF...until I can get my old pest company to come out and do the job right, the first time! I could write more, but I think the above is sufficient. UPDATE: Tyler from Alta contacted me after seeing the Yelp review and sent a different Tech (Daniel) out to solve the issue. Appears that problem may be internal (employee problem) as Daniel very receptive to my concerns and took care of the problem immediately on Saturday, when the business is usually closed. If you need any pest control help DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT go with Alta Pest Control. Their salesmen have very unethical sales practices and by far the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I was really in need of someone to come out and spray my house for ants back in January when we first moved in. I have 3 little kids that were seriously afraid of the sugar ants. I was given a "discount" and places on a contract for 12 months where they would come out quarterly to spray. They were not upfront about their "discounts" and I called roughly a week later to cancel because my initial spray was a very bad experience and was told I had to pay a $99 fee plus the "discount" that was given. Bullshit. I've spoke with multiple people at their company. Lies repeatedly have come out their mouth and now based on the "law" I'm unable to cancel unless I pay a fee. The individual I spoke with today told me they would give me a "discount" on cancellation fee but they could not get rid of it all together. Horrible!!!! Not to mention, they aren't allowed to come and spray your home if you're not present. The first initial spray they came came when my nanny was here because they wanted to make a sell! I'm incredibly disappointed at the way they can take advantage of people. If you're in need, go with ECO SHIELD PEST SOLUTIONS. read more

It's the management I give an F too. The people who come out do a great job but I am tried of being harassed about my bill. My husband and I have been customers for quite awhile. Old school when it comes to paying bills we like paper billing (without it we forget to check emails my phone is not attached to my ear). For example: services were given on 5/5, paper billing received 5/11, sent payment 5/14 as of yesterday 5/25 they had not received payment. However, we received an email about the 20th, a nasty past due letter 23rd and just the other day a phone call on the 24th. As I read the billing statement we have 25 days before it's considered past due. Our bill wasn't late we still had 5 days before being past due from the call I made yesterday to speak with management. Conveniently they were out of the office. Left a message to call me back and now 24 hours later NO ONE has called me back. This is a form of harassment. I will be considering another company. read more

Had a terrible problem with sugar ants for about three years! Finally decided to call someone, did my homework and Alta pest control had great reviews! It's been almost a week since they sprayed and left bait inside! Ants are gone from what I can see! The gentleman that came out were great and quickly did the job. Super pushy unannounced solicitation at our home, during dinnertime. Young man was wearing an Alta shirt and trying to sell pest control services. When I offered to take a card, he said "I don't just cut down trees to make cards" and said he would come back tomorrow. He asked where my husband was multiple times (creepy!) and I had to say "No thanks, we already have pest control services" multiple times. He didn't pick up so I finally said "Thank you. We are NOT switching at this time." He then glared at me, and said "YOUR GUYS' LOSS!" Might want to work on your pushy sales techniques in Wichita, KS. read more

Great customer service. Friendly, knowledgeable people. Our rodents and sugar ants are gone. Whenever we have an issue that happens between our quarterly appointments (such as carpenter ants), Alta has been quick to respond and send someone out at no charge to get rid of them. While the service is fantastic, my favorite part is actually their website and the email follow up I receive after appointments. I receive information on the chemicals/traps they used, the name and picture of who came out, and their notes about what they did and observed. Great company. read more

I'm super impressed with Alta. I contacted them to discuss an issue with a mouse (or mice being in my car). They were incredibly helpful over the phone and confirmed that I am doing everything correctly. They offered to come out and inspect, but I said it wasn't necessary because we were able to take their advice. After discussing it a little more, they said they were coming without charge because they didn't want me to have to deal with this issue. Robert showed up on time the next day and was amazing. He inspected my car for any damage, set up traps, and provided me with information to help keep the mice out of my garage. I tried to pay him as he left and he said no way. An Alta Pest Control Salesman visited our neighborhood yesterday snd was extremely aggressive, would not take no for an answer, and persisted even when asked to stop. Several of the neighbors were extremely upset, intimidated, and had to shut the door on him. He used one of our neighbors names as a reference. When I contacted them, they have never used Alta, and actually shut the door on him as well. When he was told that the neighborhood was a no soliciting area he kept pushing. This is definitely not a good way to obtain business. If I ever considered Alta for my pest control needs, this incident has convinced me otherwise. This review is only based on customer service thus far... BUT with pest control, customer service is paramount. I must say that Alta was my 4th or 5th call because the lack of reviews. I am, however, blown away by the friendliness that I encountered when I called. Additionally, they warranty their service for each spray for 90 days... meaning they retreat for FREE if you are still having a problem. I have no doubt that I will continue to be pleased with Alta but I will be sure to update of something changes! read more

Great option for Snoqualmie homeowners. On the call to sign up for service, the costs were clearly communicated and my questions regarding what services would and would not be provided were answered. It was very quick and easy. A day before initial service, I received an e-mail reminder which was nice. On the day of, Michael came on time, was very friendly, explained key parts of the service agreement before I signed, and answered more of my questions about specific concerns regarding my home and how the service schedule works. He completed the work quickly and was very mindful of keeping my home clean and everything in its place while working on the interior. Great experience so far! read more

We had been having an ongoing issue with squirrels in our attic. Chris from Alta did an extensive search for an access point that had eluded a number of people over the past year. He located the entry and inconspicuously installed wire mesh in order to keep the critters out. He responded promptly to my call, took the time necessary to find a solution to the problem and handled it professionally and cheerfully. Also, their quarterly maintenance service has also assured that a carpenter ant problem that we had for years previously is no longer an issue. Alta is amazing!!! We bought a new house and it has a way bigger yard with way more plants than we ever had before and we loved it, until we moved in and there were a ton of spiders and bees! About a week after moving in, we had a knock on our door from a very nice young man from Alta. He answered all our questions, had a great introductory price, so we decided to give them a try. We have called a few additional times for mice, and an additional bee hive and they are always here on time, they are SO nice, and yesterday Jon came to help me with the mice issue. He was very nice, quick, and explained what he was doing and what to expect. I would highly recommend Alta to anyone and everyone! I had the Alta advertising rep experience that several other here have also had. I Have a "no soliciting" sign posted on my gate and a sales person from the company still came to my door. I told him I was not interested and the reason I have the sign is because I have two dogs that may think he is intruding on our property. The young man said he understood and left. A while later my dogs were in the yard and I heard them loudly barking. I looked outside and the sales person had his arm inside my front gate fence trying to get the dogs attention. I went outside immediately and told him I warned him that the dogs were not friendly and he said yeah it seemed like one of them was trying to get him. I told him to get his arm out of my fence and go. After thinking more about how odd the experience was I went out and spoke to him on the street and told him that if I saw him again I would call the police and he said he understood and would not come back. Updating this review from 1 star. I received a response immediately from Michael one of the owners of the company regarding my experience. The apologetic and sincere response in my opinion warrants a change in my rating. Hopefully the issues get ironed out as it sounds like the owner is dedicated to succeeding. read more
