I've been a paying customer for 2 years, and instead of protecting my home, this company lied to me, endangered my family's health, and left me with $7,000 in damage. In July, their technician said there was "no evidence" of rodents in my attic. That was a blatant lie. Another company showed me the truth: massive piles of droppings, multiple nests, urine-soaked insulation, and mold. On 8/26/25, they scheduled an appointment between 11 am-1 pm. No one showed, no one called. When I called, I was told they "don't give ETAs." The technician never came. Meanwhile, rats got into my kitchen. My children have been breathing contaminated air for months. Their repeated health issues suddenly make a lot more sense now. Because of their failure, I now have to pay thousands of dollars out of pocket to rip out and replace insulation, clean up mold, and eradicate nests -- something that should have been caught long ago. This company took my money for years, never fixed the problem, never warned me about entry points, and clearly never cared. They strung me along while my house became infested. If you value your home, your money, or your family's health -- do not ever trust this company. They are incompetent, dishonest, and dangerous. read more

Requested service to remove squirrels from the attic of our house. Quoted $500 which included an up charge for squirrels instead of normal rodents, only redeeming part of this is the quote was the final price. For $500, I received: -An 20 min initial visit from a technician that involved setting the $5 black clamp traps that can be found on Amazon with peanut butter bait, all within a 2 ft radius of the entry hatch for an entire attic -A follow up as the technician didn't have enough traps initially -Another follow up where a 18"x12" wire mesh was installed that covered roughly half of the hole What I didn't receive was: -Traps set in any useful location, all 6 traps were set within arms reach of the hatch of the attic because it is not their policy to go into the attic....to eradicate rodents in the whole attic. -Any inspection of the attic for additional entry points, nests, rodent carcasses, damage, etc. because it is against their policy to go in the attic -Traps that would exclude the squirrels from the attic such as one way door traps or any other techniques other than the cheap clamp traps -Traps outside to get them while on the roof going to the entry location as this was not their policy either -A sufficient exclusion treatment of the 1 entry point, I had to redo it myself to fully close the hole -A technician equipped with a ladder to access the roof -Any follow up to my email detailing the issues before leaving a review All of this resulted in exactly 0 squirrels caught on my property. Will never choose them again. Kudos to the technician on his attitude and timeliness. But he was not experienced nor equipped with techniques, equipment, or policies to do the job. read more

I found out today that there are ants called pavement ants. We had a few that needed to be dealt with. Plateau Pest Control came by right away for some spot treatment, (which is included in the service plan). Had a rocky start with this company but after discussing their oversight, we got back on track for a bit. I started service with Plateau this summer by speaking to someone on the phone, agreeing to their pricing and being assured that I would have month to month service and could cancel anytime. Forward to November when I found a Plateau card with a service date next to two large spiderwebs with live spiders and several bugs in one of the webs. Additionally, I had ants on my counter that found my in tact peels still on bananas in their bowl. I went to Ace, bought bug spray and treated my home. Then called Plateau to cancel and gave them the reason. They advised that my house wasn't actually serviced because the gate was locked and the invoice was a mistake. I canceled anyway. We left the situation amicably. Over the past few days, they have tried to invoice me several times while raising the price stating that we have a contract that I must pay a cancellation fee for cancelling before a year. We do not have such a contract nor have we ever. Which was a large deciding factor in my choosing Plateau. Their unnecessary greed has now annoyed me and made me waste my valuable time writing this review. I highly recommend looking elsewhere for pest control needs. read more

I've been using Plateau Pest Control for several years now for maintenance of rodent issue and carpenter ants. Sokhara is professional, kind, responsive, and knowledgeable. I have had Plateau Pest come to my house every three months. The past two visits after they left I contacted them to say there were still Sugar Ants. They were too book to come out. This past Wednesday they contacted me because I had not paid my bill yet. I was waiting for them to contact me. They contacted me I told them ants w were still here. I paid my bill and was told that the young lady I was talking to would address the problem and call me. Here it is Friday nothing but crickets, no phone call. Hell will freeze over before I work with them Again. I told them there were ants all over the kitchen counter and my wife was quite upset, but no phone call. We had a wasp nest that was actually behind some wood trim on our house, so we called Plateau because dealing with this was beyond what we could do. They came out promptly, were extremely professional and applied a treatment that seemed to do the trick. A few weeks later, we noticed a new nest (or the old hive simply moved a bit) behind another piece of wood trim. Plateau came out again and treated that, also checking inside the attic to be sure that there wasn't a bigger nest there. That follow up visit was covered by the first visit's fee, which arguably might not have been the case. Contacted plateau pest-control over four years ago for a rat in my attic. They came out that very same day found where the problem was,sealed up the area. They set a Bait station outside the premises and have been coming out every two months since, spraying the foundation and replenishing The station . I go to Arizona in the winter and they always stay in touch with me on any updates and When they will be coming to the house. They are fairly priced and I highly recommend them. read more

I have a contract with Plateau Pest Control. What I like best about Plateau Pest Control is that the technician will come on the same day that I call with a problem. Recently when replacing house siding I uncovered an ant nest. I called Sokhara and he came later in the day and thoroughly treated the infestation area. Plateau Pest Control has been servicing my home since September 2014. Last fall, I discovered a rat problem; they were entering through a hole in the garage into the crawl space, and then up into my kitchen where the gas pipe/tubing comes up from the floor and connects to the stove. In addition, we had termites trying to move in as well. Sokhara was amazing! He sealed up the holes in the garage, and behind the stove, and set up traps in the garage, crawl space, under the stove, and outside the perimeter of the house. He also suggested I remove the boxes we had stored in the crawl space (I had completely forgotten that we had put those down there 15 years earlier). I asked if he could please hand the boxes out to me while he was down there, and he willingly agreed; I thought it would be just a couple, but it was actually closer to 20 boxes! Sokhara brought them all out to me without a single complaint. It is not very often that somebody goes that far above and beyond. He sprayed around the perimeter as well for the termites/ants/spiders. He returned after a couple of weeks to check the traps, and found a rather large rat in the garage trap. I have the bi-monthly plan, and he returns every couple of months to check the traps, and spray around the perimeter. We have had no further problems. His rates are very reasonable and competitive, and his customer service is exemplary! After each visit, he explains thoroughly what he did, and suggests any preventive measures. Owner was pleasant and got a quick initial appointment, but was more interested in trying to sell a monthly service plan than taking care of the problem we had. Tried calling back multiple times after initial appointment and got no response for weeks. He sealed up some openings under the house for rodents, but he definitely doesn't know what to do or what to look for to solve the problem. Our rodent problem grew worse and worse after he attempted to "seal" under the house and inside my cupboards. Didn't stop the problem or slow it down at all, just continually got worse. Only communication back was to pay a huge amount for monthly service for him to come back. NOPE! Hired someone else and they followed through until the problem was found and taken care of. New company found a HUGE opening around the downdraft vent (where we were sure the activity was coming from in the first place), took pictures to show us the problem, and then took the proper steps to close it off. Plateau had sealed partially INSIDE the kitchen cupboard, but did nothing around the huge opening between the crawl space and under the toe kick of the cupboards where they continued to have access. Left multiple messages with no response. Steer away from this company, there are a lot better ones that you will get what you paid for. Requested my money back. Surprise, no response. read more

We hired Plateau Pest Control on 10/2 due to an on-going problem with mice & rats in our crawl space & attic. After many unsuccessful attempts to find the entry point(s), we were at our wits end and wanted to hire an experienced professional. On the 1st visit, we were very clear that we did not want to simply trap or poison the rodents getting into our crawl space & attic. The $425 that we were spending was specifically to employ their expertise toward finding the entry point(s) and eliminating them so that the problem would not continue to reoccur. He indicated that he understood, and could solve the issue. After his inspection, the only possible entry point that he found was a vent on the roof, which he sealed. However, the activity we were hearing was primarily in the crawl space, which when questioned about this he simply shrugged and said it "all looked secure". He then set traps and set up a bait station outside. We expressed concern about setting poison out in the bait station since we had not resolved how they are getting in, but he assured us that they would just go off into the woods and die. Not so. On the follow up visit 1 week later, nothing was caught in any of the traps, and he declared our problem solved. He then suggested a monthly follow up to maintain the bait station. I again expressed concern that they would eat the poison and then die under house somewhere since he did not solve the mystery of the entry point to the crawl space. After much debate, he took another ( no more than 15 minutes) to look for the entry point, found 1 spot an did a poor job of securing it. 3 weeks later, as predicted, a horrific smell became evident in our house. We now have dead rodents somewhere in our crawl space, and Plateau is not answering any calls to come out and remove the issue that they caused. I would not recommend this service if you are looking for a thorough exclusion & repair effort. $450 down the drain, I'm hiring another company that indicates they would never set out poison if they had not found the entry point(s). Seems obvious to me, I regret listening to this "expert". Very nice and polite, but did nothing to solve the problem we hired him to solve. read more
