I wish i can put 0* here. I have rodent issue in my backyard and i found out this company on google review, wish i would have checked yelp before hand. The initial assigned person promised how their bait and strategy is advanced and even have a entire village built to test the poison bait, DO NOT TRUST any of that. I paid $100/month not including several hundreds of dollars in the initial service, all they did is come and replace bait station, when asked to do more to put it under control, the only thing they did is to put snap trap inside the station, nothing more after that. they killed probably 6(visible ones) or so rodents through half year of service, i did that myself within a week with snap trap and poison. Then winter came, the rodent activity got worse, got like 8 rat holes and a collapsed stone tiles. And i told them i saw a rat peaking outside the hole the other day, and the onsite dude told me it could be anything, and if i don't take a picture of it, they wouldn't trust what i said. i mean i subscribed them for the exact service and there are holes all over a corner of my fence, do i look like i subscribed and paid $100/month for fun? Most of all, this is no way to talk to a customer, it takes years to build a trust, and only 1 second to destroy. I was willing to give them 1-2 month to give them one more try, but the dude just told me i should cancel it which i did. and the dude ended up taking away all my bait stations, including ones i owned myself, i thought i paid hundred of dollars in the initial service to get those bait station and baits and $100 per month for those. This is a company that you pay money to them for a service, and they spend more time telling you what you need to do than do it them. read more

Service since Sept. 22 ongoing issues since then. It seem they never can solved the issues. (no clue what they were doing ) Called tried to speak to a manager on 04/14 and 04/17/2023 and again today. Still no feedback from them .. read more

Orkin apparently isn't what it used to be. I have used them in the past with great results. My bad for not checking Yelp first before I signed up again. If I could write this review with a no star rating I would, as I paid thru the nose for a rodent issue for four months with ZERO results. The manager at the Kent facility tries to cover up lack of results with incredible excuses. When canceling service for lack of results, was told I had to give 30 day notice and then got another month bill for them to remove their traps. When calling to ask why I got billed, I was told that I didn't cancel within our cycle timeframe. And that happened because our service person had to be called to even come out to do his job. Amazingly bad service of which I paid to learn the lesson. read more

There are two reasons why I'm giving them a 2-star review. 1) Prior to signing up with Orkin, we'd been receiving services from another pest control company who'd been unable to eradicate a clover mite infestation on our property. As such, I wanted to make sure that Orkin would actually be able to handle this problem, and I was assured by Orkin customer service that they could. As it turns out, however, they were able to do even less than the previous company we'd been receiving services from, and ironically, the infestation actually worsened after Orkin came into the picture. 2) After coming out for the initial appointment and a follow up appointment (a total of two appointments), our pest control technician dropped off the face of the earth and completely stopped responding to our calls. After the follow up appointment, I was left in the dark as to when he was planning on coming back, so I gave him a call and left him a voice message. After a week had passed without receiving a call back, I AGAIN called and left another voice message. After waiting a few days and again not receiving a return call, I called their main office and asked to speak with the manager. Now, here's the reason why I'm giving Orkin two stars instead of just one. Their manager was very friendly, polite, and professional. He explained to me why Orkin was unable to handle the problem, which essentially comes down to WA state regulations on the types of chemicals they're allowed to use. That said, it's unfortunate that this hasn't been explained to me by their customer service when I'd initially signed up for services, and it's also unfortunate that their technician decided to completely ignore his customers for literally NO reason at all. read more

Orkin was my first experience with a pest control company and they didn't set the bar any higher than my ankles. 1. They rescheduled my appointment an hour before I was expecting them, not consulting me for the new appointment date. 2. The tech was shy (not a problem) but I found it odd that he never asked me any probing questions about why I scheduled a visit. So, I ended up word spilling in an awkward one sided conversation, trying to guess what info he needed from me. 3. He stated that there's no way to fully help my problem unless I redo the foundation of my house, but he'll set out traps anyway just in case. What? #4 is the one that really got to me. He asked me to removed my dishwasher so that he could set traps behind it. I'm not an appliance tech, but I gave it a try. It took me a half hour to find tools and start pulling apart my own dishwasher. I had it half way out when a thought hit me. I asked him if I was going to need to pull this dishwasher out for every future visit so they can check the traps, which he replied 'yes'. I'm calling BS on this one. As a homeowner, I was not prepared to removed an appliance for every visit. Orkin called a week later to set up a follow up/2nd visit. Their landline was unclear and the agent eventually had to hang up due to 'poor connection' problems. Wow, Orkin. Just...wow. read more

Anytime I give a 1 star rating, the company has gone out of it's way to deserve it and that is the case here. Initially I had a positive experience with Orkin in Snohomish county. They came out and sprayed and all went well. When I moved into my new home in Pierce county, I had them come out to do a preventative spray and make sure everything was ok. When the technician arrived, he did the job and we gave him a credit card and set up and appointment for him to return in 2 weeks. The 2 weeks come and go he never comes but leaves a message and says he will have to reschedule for another time he is in my area. Then I I get a call or three from a lady named Ebony who was says I hadn't paid my last bill and to call her back. I proceed to call the number she left in excess of 10 times over multiple weeks because I could never reach her at the number she provided. The number has a recording that comes on and says the number dialed cannot accept incoming calls at this time. Now I freely admit she has called me three or four times but I work during the day and I'm in appointments and cannot answer at that time so I have to call back. They have to be able to provide a number where I can reach them. After Ebony's 5th or 6th missed call, I decide to call the 1-800 number and get a hold of the corporate office. They were nice enough to inform me that I have been sent to collections and owe all these stupid fees. I told her not only did I have a card on file but I gave the technician a credit card number when he was at my house! I haven't been able to get in touch with anybody for two months. I am extremely frustrated with Orkin and would not recommend doing business with them. read more

I just had the best service experience in years. I needed a pest control service quickly because we are hosting a party at my home in a few days and I was worried about a recent flurry of bee activity. I went online and chose Orkin because I recognized the name. I was able to get a same day appointment for late afternoon. When I realized later I was going to be late, I called the Orkin 1-800 number and they had the technician coming to my house call me back. When he (Ron Schwab) arrived, he was very professional and friendly. He walked around my house and diagnosed my problem, and gave me great advice about my options. He explained what he could and couldn't do about my bees--the treatment of which is now regulated by Washington law--and what I could do myself. Ron didn't pressure me to buy anything and I didn't. I wanted to give him a tip for his great service but he refused. I will be using Ron whenever I have a pest problem in the future--and I will, because mice like to come indoors during the winter. If you need someone you can trust to be helpful and fair, call Ron. His phone and email are 800-562-5610 and Rschwab@orkin.com read more

i have hired orkin to help rat control. but the house is swarming with rats in crawlspace and they have set 5 traps. none of the trap has any rat. also, their follow up is not knowledgeable. He first got to the billing address and not the house. No idea where the traps are. They just try to sell you a crawlspace clean up as a follow up. read more

I had the worst experience with Orkin recently so much so I'm compelled to write about it here. I had a rodent issue in my crawl space and called these guys to come out for a free quote. After checking out the crawlspace and surrounding they guy gave me a quote for $80 a month and said "by the way you technically need a one year contract". I accepted the terms since I was in a pinch to get to the next meeting; not their fault. But on the first treatment they sent an inexperienced guy out to my house, worked for about 15min and told me it's unavoidable to have rodents and often hard to know where the root cause is. I was boiling after hearing that and called their office to complain about it. Second treatment they sent a more seasoned guy and at least he setup a couple traps in my backyard. But what really got me was on scheduling the 3rd treatment, they sent somebody over on a random day for the week they commited the job. I was not home when the guy came over and so he never checked the crawl space. And so this is when it dawned on me that they are not here to help with my roddent issue. The business just collects a monthly payment and sends someone over to "do pest control". So I called in to cancel my service and the office manager rudely reminded me the $300 contract is nonrefundable. I was furious at this point, so I cancelled regardless and switched over to ECO Elite and they are great. read more

I want to commend Orkin on their excellent customer service. Today I spoke with Angela who handled my situation with dignity and compassion. She made a situation that could've been embarrassing and overwhelming, pleasant and thoughtful. God Bless you. read more
