When trying out a new restaurant, we have little to no expectations but we go with an empty stomach & open mind. I had to look up Manville in Google maps - it's half way between Cumberland & Woonsocket. The restaurant is an unassuming storefront on a mostly residential street. We walked in & were greeted warmly. The restaurant was hopping on a late Saturday morning, so we took the two open seats at the counter. Your Mother's Favorite is truly a family affair. Dad is in the kitchen with an uncle & a son, mom is running the front of house with another son & some other relatives. We learned that this restaurant is an offshoot of their Sunnyside on the Street food truck. They offered any 1/2 lb brisket/chuck blend burger on a brioche bun for the RI Food Fights coupons. Upon recommendation of the son who was serving us at the counter, I went with their best seller: The Mother In Law - caramelized onions, Gruyere cheese, house made sauce. It was SOOOO good! The burger was perfectly cooked with a ton of delicious caramelized onions & ooey gooey melted cheese holding it all together.
