Booked a room the night before arriving through Priceline. Arrived at the motel to find no office to check in at. Called the number and was directed to go a few blocks to a different motel to check in there. When I got there and said this whole process is confusing, especially when rolling into town at almost 10:00, another guy there got snarky and said I should have received a message about how to check in a week ago. I told him I barely made the reservation a day ago and was traveling so I didn't see a message, to which he responded, "You should know I can see when you made the reservation." Implying I was lying or something. Didn't even acknowledge him at that point and finished checking in with the young man helping me (checked my email later and there was no message from the motel in my regular or junk folder). Finally got back to the motel we are staying at. The rooms are outdated and feel a bit cramped, the mattress felt old and uncomfortable, and the room had a funky smell when we walked in. It does seem like they try to keep it clean. However, for over $250 for the night, I would expect better than this. I'm glad we only have to stay one night. I feel like I wasted my money and had an uncomfortable night. read more
