Our home had some major foundation issues with us being in a liquefaction zone in the Culver City area. The corners of our home were sinking and causing cracks and other issues. We decided to choose Alpha Structural and were very impressed with their professionalism, attention to detail, timeliness, and good communication. I really appreciated how Sunn, the project supervisor, explained everything very clearly to me and let us know what to expect. He and his partner were involved and would check in periodically on the progress. Juve, Henry, and Mark were the ones working on our place, breaking up concrete, digging multiple holes down beneath our foundation, laying the rebars, then pouring the concrete. They were on time every day, kept our area as clean as it could be, and took time to communicate the progress. We were hoping to host our son's birthday party right after the work was done and they were able to finish and also help me clean up the area so it looked even better than when they started. I highly recommend them to handle this important work. read more

The guy arrived on time, they were ready to get down to business. They were very knowledgeable about the work to be done. On top of everything else they were very kind and had lots of past experience with my type of build which sits in the famous historic corridor in downtown Los Angeles. I would highly recommend you give their company a call. read more

A special thanks to Brian and Pablo, the crew on my job, for working with such care and efficiency.

From beginning to end Alpha structural took care of retrofitting the foundation. They helped us with the paperwork for the city and did a phenomenal job. The crew was so professional and meticulous. They checked on the progress consistently and they were very professional and easy to work with. We have a lot of work to do because our home is old. We are glad to have found such seasoned experts. read more

Ordered a structural report on a house with heavy cracking on the concrete, front and rear porches just to be sure that the home on the raised foundation was in great shape. Wsit was about a week, they're busy people. The inspector showed up on time did a very professional report at a reasonable price and delivered in the timely manner we needed. I say "thumbs up." read more

Alpha Structural - General Contractors Near Me - Sunland, California

Being on the board of our HOA we looked at multiple contracts for water intrusion in one of the units. We dealt with Albert and they were very good at amending certain things in the contract our atty suggested, was always keeping us updated with the permit process and pushing to get it as fast as possible, and had the project done on time. Dave, Aaron and Sunn kept the project going smoothly and Aaron, Jose and Juvy who we saw the most were so nice with the best attitudes and cleaned up everything so well. We couldn't be happier with our experience and will definitely use them in the future if needed. Thanks guys! read more

Alpha Structural did an excellent job with our foundation repair! From the beginning, Chris O. was very honest and upfront about his recommendations to make our home safe. His crew, including Juan, Luis, Gregorio and Edgar were very thoughtful and efficient. Juan kept us up to date with how things were moving along. They were very professional in handling an issue that was not anticipated during the original inspection. I have no hesitation in recommending Alpha Structural! read more

Alfie did a great job educating me on what was needed on my sinking home foundation. The company knows what they are talking about when it comes to securing a foundation. Very professional. read more

We hired Alpha Structural for a sister foundation due to serious foundation issues in our newly purchased 140 year old home. We received multiple bids, and Alpha was on the more expensive side (but not the most expensive). However we had heard very good things about their reputation (the landlord we purchased from had used them before with a very positive experience), they had no citations on their permit, and they were very thorough in explaining what needed to be done now and what could be deferred until later. Once hired, the process was pretty effortless on my part. They took care of permitting with the city, and scheduled the start in a reasonable amount of time. The job itself took longer than expected by a bit over a week, however they did not charge me anything beyond what was originally quoted. I was also impressed with how well they cleaned up once everything was done! It honestly looked cleaner than when they started. read more

We called Alpha Structural for an estimate on our homes damaged foundation. We were scheduled an appointment very quickly, just a couple days out. Damien our assessor was very down to earth, kind and professional. He took alot of time, measuring, drawing and taking alot of pictures underneath our homes raised foundation. He explained and showed in pictures all the damage. Then he explained the repair process, scope of the job and approximate completion time. He answered all my questions and I never felt rushed or pressured. Great and informative estimate, thanks Damien and Alpha Structural. read more

I spoke with Stephanie about some structural issues. She was very professional, didn't rush me off the phone and even had an associate call me back to go into greater detail. The gentleman who returned my call, was excellent! You can tell this company knows what they are taking about and are willing to share that knowledge with average Joe's like me. I am currently setting up an appointment and feel really confident that our home is in good hands with Alpha Structural!! Two thumbs up, highly recommend read more

Albert was extremely knowledgeable about the work we needed to do. He discussed options, gave us information about timelines, materials, and subs to do testing. He made detailed diagrams and left us with a much clearer understanding of the scope of work!! His expertise was evident and his manner reassured us about what steps needed to be taken! RB read more

Part of our home sits on top of a small hill. The Big One will eventually hit Southern California, and we knew it was best to get the house braced and bolted. We had 4 companies give estimates, and we chose Alpha Structural. They know what they're doing and they have a history of top-notch jobs to prove it. From the very start of the process, to the very end, we have only dealt with the most professional and thoughtful individuals. Brianna in the office always kept us up to date on the process. Damien came out numerous times to assess our property to make sure everything was set for the work to be done. Chris Olson and Sunn oversaw the work and answered (too?!) many of my questions. Juve, Henry, and Melvin worked in the 90+ degree weather for two days in the even-hotter-temperature crawl space. Despite the overbearing heat, I was incredibly impressed with their friendly and calm personalities. (Are they superheroes?! Because I think most of us, including myself, would have melted by noon.) I saw photos of their finished product and I immediately felt safer in my home. Thank you, Alpha Structural! read more

Alfie Andino and the team at Alpha Structual did a great job at our home. They replaced a few of the beams under the house as well as strengthened all other beams around it. The job was professionally done. This was the second time we had them come out for a job. Great customer service, very professional, efficient, and done right. Can't expect any more. The rainfall in early 2023 resulted in stormwater flooding into our kitchen. Using online resources, we searched for information on company culture, pricing, and performance of several prospective contractors. Alpha Structural topped the list. Brad came to our house, took time to look at the hillside drainage behind the house, took some more time to look at the kitchen, and took even more time to look at the drainage around the house and into the street at the front of the property. He determined that the retaining wall behind the kitchen needed to be waterproofed, and a drainage system, which would discharge to the street in front of the property, should be installed behind the retaining wall. My wife and I were impressed during our meeting with Brad. We ended up signing a contract with Alpha without contacting any other contractors. From the beginning of our project in April 2023 through the end of the project in October 2023, we truly believe we received the customer service, communication, work quality, and overall satisfaction that was commensurate with what we paid. Here are some reasons why: The customer service provided by Natalie (our first contact point) and Felicia (project coordinator for meetings and billings) was very professional, while at the same time very personal. The contract review process was straight forward. We received a contract via email to review. We sent our questions/comments via email to Brad who responded promptly via email, followed shortly thereafter with a phone call to confirm their responses adequately answered our questions/comments. In the end, the final contract was specific about the work to be performed, the payment schedule, and the types of things that could result in change orders to the contract. The contract approval process was electronic, using DocuSign. The signed contract was provided by email in a pdf format. Progress payments were electronic, using Quick Books. Invoices and receipts were provided by email. The engineering phase was smooth, with Luis making a site visit, creating the design drawing, and securing a building permit from the city. He provided us regular email status reports along the way. The construction project team leaders (Brad, Chris, and Armando) were available by phone, text, or in-person. We felt we were always their priority. Chris, the Project Manager, was not on-site every day. However, it was apparent he had talked with Armando, the site supervisor, providing daily tasks and goals. Armando met with his teammates, Aroldo and Juan, each morning to pass along the daily tasks and goals to them. Work began on-time every day, with each worker knowing their specific tasks for the day. The work crew took a morning break, a lunch break, and an afternoon break. All other times they were working - No phones, no standing around, and no music. Debris was retained in an out-of-the way, onsite storage area and hauled off site at regular intervals. At the end of the day, the worksite was cleaned up before the crew left. Cuts to our existing walkways were precise and straight, making for easy repair after completion of the job. Onsite safety included eye protection, ear protection, and respirators. The worksite was always free of trip hazards and tools were organized. The crew never complained about the main work area, a 3-foot high, enclosed crawlspace. This was not an ideal place to work, especially when the work included demolition of bricks with a jackhammer, excavating dirt from behind a retaining wall to a depth of 7-feet with a shovel, removing the dirt with buckets, and applying a smelly waterproofing material to the retaining wall. The knowledge of the project requirements and the actual work being performed were exceptional, as evidenced by the city inspector waiving all intermediate inspections, saying he could tell Chris and the crew knew what they were doing. Not that it was necessary, but Chris had the wherewithal to ask the inspector to write it on the inspection card just in case a different inspector came for the final inspection. About 3/4 of the way through the project, we remembered that three existing drains outside of the project scope did not drain properly whenever it rained. We mentioned this to Chris and Armando. They quickly came up with a suggestion to replace the drains and connect them to the new drains being installed as part of our contract. We bought the new drain units. Alpha installed them without charging us for any additional drainpipe or labor. Alpha was responsive, professional, did what they said they would do, finished on schedule, and didn't ask for additional money. read more

The construction work is very good, especially considering the difficulty of our site. They seem to be the most expensive company so it should be. However, the communication and follow-up is abysmal. Months after our job was supposedly completed we were notified they hadn't removed enough soil and would have to come back out to do that, at an additional 8K of expense. read more

Damien arrived promptly and was very kind and knowledgeable. He patiently outlined in detail what my best course of action to take for my kitchen ceiling's beam leak should be. He was very honest about the actual cause of my extensive leak during the recent rainstorms... and it wasn't the beam after all, so no need for a structural repair at this time!!! How is that for honesty and genuine care for a homeowner (me!)?!!! I am truly impressed with the quality of service of Alpha Structural, from first call to today's courtesy visit from Damien. I will definitely call on them for any of my future structural building concerns, and I will refer Alpha Structural without any hesitation to everyone!!! Thank you again, especially to Damien!!! read more

Brad Nestler is fantastic! Very informative and super knowledgeable. Great problem solver!

I can't say enough positive things about Alpha Structural for my project. EVERYTHING went smoothly and I don't have one complaint. They were professional, friendly, kept me up to date on the job, they arrived early and finished the job quickly and efficiently. Salesperson Aldo was great, Brian was the lead person on my job and his crew Bartolo, Edy, and Jose worked hard to get my job completed. I have recommended them already to my neighbors and friends. read more

We are on our third project with Alpha Structural. They do their own engineering which means they only design and engineer what they can build, unlike an engineering only firm. They obtain all of the permits and guide the project through the required inspections to a quick finish. Our current project is an extensive balcony repair and new steel railings of a 3 story 21 unit apartment building in the city of LA. The crew of 3, Juve, Luis and Henry are dedicated to our project from start to finish. They show up everyday on time. They have taken care to cover our tenants windows during the demolition stage. They clean the job site during the day and end of each day. This has been our experience on our other projects, as well. It is important to get this project completed as quickly as possible to minimize the inconvenience to our tenants. Alpha delivers every time. They also communicate well with our longtime and trusted general contractor, Mike Robertson, who is responsible for stucco repair, paint and new waterproof decking (magnasite). If time and your mental health are important to you I highly recommend Alpha. read more

Structure repair! We had a very large beam across our living room that was cracking and twisting. They came in and gave us a terrific consultation with Ken who provided detail of what was happening and how to fix plus sent over in writing. Marissa was great with scheduling and billing, and the crew of Oscar Puente (PM) plus Adolfo (FM) and Victor (Asst) were absolutely phenomenal! Friendly, comfortable to work with, kept us updated and knocked it out!! Pricing was way less than to replace!! 1/3 of cost easy!! Took 2 days and we barely had to do anything! They did it all!! HIGHLY recommended!! read more

I've had some concrete that is cracking in my backyard. It's getting worse the last few years. I confirmed from an arborist the closest tree is not the cause. So I gave Alpha a call and Markian came out to evaluate. I was told the problem is not structural. There were a couple options, one involving new concrete with metal rebar, or more of a "fix" by drilling out a channel and re-pouring concrete, or using bricks. He told me it's probably easier to just do a simple concrete patch. This is good news to me as I'd rather hold off on large repairs. I am grateful that Markian came out and gave me a few options. I will keep Alpha Structural in mind if I see any other issues with my house. Thank you! read more

After what happened Alpha came by to make things right. Mistakes happen and I appreciate their efforts to make things right.

Engineers were diligent in assessing the problem. Professional workers completed a major job ontime as promised. Professional communication with residents, and property management. Alpha is in the process of installing a major retaining wall due to an unstable hill on our property. Their management has been transparent and easy to work with, and the team of Daniel, Pedro, Apolonio and Marcos have worked quickly and efficiently. Alpha Structural has been the best of the best for me. I've also know several friends who have used them for foundation repairs that were very happy with their work. I recently had them complete my Earthquake Brace and Bolt program and I found them to be very easy to deal with. Their proposal was very reasonable, completed faster than they promised and their workmen were friendly. So often with contractors I have found that there is always a surprise price increase or it takes longer or you're dealing with workers that seem grumpy or just plain weird. Alpha had none of those hiccups, just great work at the price that was promised. read more

Alfie Andino is very good and so knowledgeable on what he is doing. He did a thorough inspection inside and outside of my foundation especially in the area of concern to me, even going into the crawl space of the house.
