I've frequently visited their VA Beach location, so I was very happy to learn that they opened a new location recently in Chesapeake. The inside was clean, bright, and had cute stitch and beach decor. The staff were friendly and helpful with my questions also. To drink: I tried their Hawaiian Sun - Strawberry Guava Nectar drink (9/10) it was sweet and smooth to drink. To eat: I ordered the Short Rib and Shrimp combo plate (10/10) there was a good portion of rib included and everything was seasoned well. Also got a side container of Macaroni Salad and an order of Spam Musubi (10/10). While dining in, the staff gave us a cake dessert to try and it was really good. It was shaped like a butterfly and unfortunately, I didn't get the specific name of the cake, but it was delicious! It was different from anything I've tried before; there were some fruit chunks inside that gave it a nice texture and extra flavors. Overall, I'll def return to this location again! Tons of people tell me "it's not authentic Hawaiian food", but I have no reference from the actual islands, so my review is based on my feelings on the restaurant alone. And on that note, I really enjoy my meals here. Normally I get Hawaiian BBQ chicken or beef (or both) and I've never been let down yet. But the last item i got was a crunchy chicken and rice dish, and the crunch could be heard from the pacific itself - it was SO perfectly crunchy. It has a great sesame flavor that melted into the warm rice. I loved it. Periodically I get musubi also, and its the perfect marinated snack for on the go. The dishes feel so comfortable, so filling, and I find each visit just as pleasant as the last. If you find yourself here, I should be suggesting the BBQ for island flavor, but I really just want you to have the same crunchy experience i did. read more

Feeling like some Hawaiian food and this place was within walking distance of the hotel. Hit them right before close. Food was really good and fresh. Service was top notch. Another grand opening, I was able to attend and support another business this time this one is close to my area and now I can have a spot to get lunch or dinner without the distance cause this location is at Chesapeake near greenbrier area. The staff delivered the moment we walk with nice greeting and for the first day of opening we were gift with a stitch plushie very adorable and gift card for our next visit that was a bonus on top of the food. Walking in you see Hawaii theme with stitch art on the wall a cute and fun way to add to the color pop in the restaurant. They have a good amount of space for both lunch date or even go large party. The staff was very welcome and they even allow us to try one of their drinks the fruit tea with real fruit inside had a sweet calm strawberry note and you can get other fruit flavor options. Cause I'm not a big strawberry fan but i was impressed of flavor and the strawberry was really good. For food I tried their soy garlic wings and pair it with the macaroni salad and both were delicious the wing had a nice crisp to them and a flavor boom with the option I choose I would highly recommend the wings and the price for them were not bad I got a six piece for around $10 dollars after tax and the macaroni salad was about $5 buck I would recommend them both and the price of most of there menu items are not bad at all for a place that have a good combination of cuisines to select from and they range from your classic and other dishes that you would be happy with the choices they have to offer from it's a mixture of Hawaii style cuisines with Asian fusion to it and I would say the wings definitely gave that. I went to their first week grand opening. Food: I got the Hawaiian seafood mix which came with BBQ Chicken, grilled shrimp and fried shrimp. I included rice and macaroni salad. The 2 kinds of shrimp were decent, nothing special. The BBQ chicken was absolutely delicious. It came with this brown sauce which had a smokey flavor to it. I also order crab Rangoon which were perfect. Service: The service was great. The girls at the counter were super nice and told us about the promo they were having for their grand opening week.
