Poke Bowl Pick 2 (salmon and spicy tuna) with crab meat salad, edamame, mango, seaweed salad, and garlic crisps.

Great food! Staff was very nice and helped me create up an order! The poke bowl had large portions and a lot of toppings/sauces depending on your favorite flavors!

We were staying close by and we stopped by to try some wings and we were not disappointed. We had the Korean Style wings with the mild garlic sauce on the side. We also had an order of Japanese Karaage with sweet and sour sauce. Both dishes were tasty, but the Chicken Karaage was a generous portion. Friendly folks greet you and call you when your order's ready. I really wanted to try the soups, they looked delicious. That will be the next visit!

The long awaited DOMOISHI! I've been back in town several times seeing the sign and waiting for this place to open. During this trip, it's finally open. The dining area is larger than most poke restaurants. The preferred way to order is to use one of the two self-service kiosks to the left. They display the full menu with pictures, and allow you to pay for your order. They serve poke, ramen, appetizers, and boba tea. I ordered a poke bowl and fruit tea. I feel the poke is a little pricey, but the serving size is good. I'm definitely full after eating my food. They have the usual poke options, with nothing too fancy. I ordered mine to go and it was ready pretty fast. They put my food in a reusable bag to go. I'm not sure if that's only a promotional thing. I also ordered a Rainbow Fruit Tea (lemon and strawberry) which was refreshing. I'd say this location would be a good option for those who enjoy poke and fruit tea.

Gyudon Beef Bowl

Spacious atmosphere. They have both self order kiosks and customer services. Friendly services and fast ordering. Foods just ok. We got the ramen chicken base and pork protein. And the Gyudon beef bowl. The foods aren't great mainly because it's salty. So the actual tastes are masked or gone. The portions are relatively generous. But again too salty to tell how good the foods were.

Order at tablet, pay with card at tablet or cash at counter. Food came quickly. Food was fresh and well portioned. Busy but not crowded, plenty of seating. Excellent service.

Tofu spicy ramen and half order of pork Pork Chachu Bun

Here for business and this was a flavorful, quick dinner. Prices seemed high but they give a ton of food. Enough for lunch tomorrow. The bao bun was delicious though I wish the pork was slightly less fatty. I selected "make it spicy" and it wasn't too spicy at all. Mostly very flavorful, which I liked. A selection of teas available but I didn't order one. Shares a parking lot with Starbucks but plenty of parking. Would recommend and will be back if I'm in the area!

They're finally open!! I love Domoishi and I'm so happy there's one close to my house and right next to a Starbucks, great location! I always get ramen with pork base and add shrimp and crab meat, so delicious. Add a Taro Boba Tea and it's perfection! Staff is very friendly and talked to us about where we're from and business. Will definitely be back soon!!

I've been on the hunt for a good ramen spot--and after a few disappointing tries, I finally found…read moreit. Osaka Ramen and Sushi really exceeded my expectations. I ordered the spicy umami miso ramen with tofu, karaage, and a soft-boiled egg, and it was absolutely delicious--rich, comforting, and full of flavor. I'll admit I went a little overboard with the add-ons, but I was just too excited and couldn't resist. It's a hidden gem tucked into a shopping center and easy to miss from the main road, but there's plenty of parking and once you're inside it's much more spacious than it looks. The staff were friendly, service was quick, and everything came out fresh. Prices were very reasonable too, especially for the portion sizes and quality. There's also a wide menu beyond ramen, so I'm looking forward to coming back and trying more. Before leaving, I grabbed a brown sugar boba milk tea too. I was already full, so I saved it for later--but even then, it was still really good. Overall, a great first experience--I'll definitely be returning!

I absolutely love this spot because it's never super busy, the ambiance is nice and the service is always great. I ordered the Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen w/Oxtail and an extra soft, boiled egg. It was served very quickly and it was great. The broth was savory, the oxtail was tender and the noodles were perfect. I ate the entire bowl. Unfortunately, a few hours later, I didn't feel that great. I'm not sure if the pork or oxtail were bad but something did not agree with my stomach at all. I felt awful! That was the first time I had that experience with their food so I don't want to count them out but it may be a while before I return.

While working at a conference at the VA Convention Center, some colleagues requested I come here…read morewith them for lunch, they said they had been before and it was really good. When we got there, at lunchtime on a weekday, they were packed, but there were a few seats open at a hightop, which we took. Service was great and attentive, as well as helpful as she offered great suggestions and explained how various dishes were made. I tried a cup of their red bean and ham soup (it was the soup du jour) as well as their open face chicken salad sandwich and both were very good. They were both made fresh, in-house with fresh ingredients. Flavors were great too. I really liked the touch of having Dijon mustard on the chicken salad sandwich. There were so many great things on the menu that I would definitely return and try more!

I'm not usually one to leave negative reviews because I know how tough the restaurant industry can…read morebe. Im also usually a huge fan of Stockpot, as I frequent the one in Norfolk. I'm a chef myself and travel to different restaurants regularly, so I try to be understanding. That said, the service we experienced yesterday at Stock Pot was unfortunately some of the worst I've had in quite a while. We sat outside, and it honestly felt like we were being deliberately ignored. The restaurant wasn't busy, yet we had to wait long stretches just to get basic things. At one point near the end of our meal, we asked for a box and our check. Instead of bringing it over, the waitresses stood around talking with other waitresses, while we continued to wait. After sitting there for quite a while, we eventually had to ask for the check and box, a second time. Throughout the meal the service was inconsistent. We had three different waitresses checking on us, but were left to sit for about 30 minutes alone at one point, and it took almost 20 to have our order taken, once we ordered, we had to request our appetizer again, after waiting another 20 or so minutes. Upon asking, again, we found out they were out of part of the appetizer we ordered. After that it came out quick. The food, however, was excellent and definitely the highlight of the experience. That's why this review is disappointing to write -- the kitchen is clearly doing a great job. I just hope the service side improves, because it didn't match the quality of the food.

This was my first time trying more of an authentic Japanese ramen. Since I have nothing to compare…read moreit to besides places like Domoishi, it's hard to say exactly how I feel about it. I had the Ebi (shrimp) curry ramen. The curry was very flavorful but different than both Jamaican and Indian curries. I don't like that they keep the tails on the shrimp even though it's in the ramen. I also had salmon rice balls as well as Shumai. The shumai was good and so were the rice balls, but never having had rice balls, they weren't what I was expecting. I expected them to have meat in them but it was just rice with salmon flavored powder. We also added hot green tea to our meal. While not anything special, I do like to end my meal this way. The service was pretty good but we didn't like that our waitress stood next to our table from the moment we sat down. We felt pressured to hurry up and order, and it just made things awkward. She was very attentive though. This restaurant is your typical local Japanese style restaurant. Very authentic in its feel and decor - nothing fancy, basic service. But if you like more authentic type dishes vs chain restaurants, I think this is a place to try! Oh, I will also add this place was alot less expensive than places like Domoishi! I give it a 3 star because I feel neutral about it - not because anything was super wrong about it!
