I turned to my massage therapist and asked if I could get hot stones as well. Her response was simply, "I don't do those." As the massage continued, I told her that I prefer heavier pressure because what she was doing was much too light. She then told me, "I don't give deep tissue massages." I wasn't necessarily asking for a full deep tissue massage. I was asking for more pressure. The massage was so light that I literally started laughing because it felt like I was being tickled. I apply lotion to my own body with more pressure than I received during this massage. If my wife had not been there getting her massage, I honestly would have gotten off the table and left. What made the experience even more disappointing was the difference in service at the end. My wife was given a warm towel to wipe the excess oil from her body. I wasn't offered one and ended up having to use paper towels from the wall. For a $250 massage bill, plus a $50 tip, I expected a much higher level of service, consistency, and attention to the customer's preferences. This was our anniversary, so we were looking forward to relaxing and enjoying the experience together. Instead, I left feeling like the quality of my massage did not come close to matching what we paid. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I cannot recommend Three Graces Day Spa.

I was greeted when I approached the counter and checked in. The lady with the pink hair and big smile let Alex know we had arrived and I was updated that Alex was a little behind. Our appointment started about fifteen minutes late but we were in no hurry. You can't rush perfection and it's three days before Christmas with a same day appointment! My daughter was seated in the chair and we chose a women's cut. I wanted her to feel the difference in a kids cut from Super Cuts and what Mom usually gets at a salon. This included wash, cut, dry, and style. I also let her get her eyebrows waxed. Her total hair loss was about 24" of hair. When everything was said and done my daughter hated it. It wasn't the right "shape". Alex was able to explain things like texture, hair types, and what she can do to get it closer to her photo. She was still unhappy but the feedback was well received by Alex. Remember, our appointment was running behind. With grace and a smile Alex was more than happy to fix it and go even shorter. She gave my daughter the Justin Bieber type cut she was looking for, something totally opposite of the first cut Alex had just completed based off a photo my daughter found online. That folks, is how you get repeat customers and five star reviews. Stressed, pressed for time, and still sweet as can be. Never once did she make us feel any type of way and I appreciate that.

My daughter explained she is not having a treatment and the lady said she had to fill it out to sit with me. My daughter filled it out although we thought it was unusual. After all forms were filled out we waited a little and then she asked us to go to the back for treatment. It was 10:42AM I did not see another staff person come in. My daughter sat at a table to study for a test for graduate school. The lady advised my daughter she could not sit there and asked my daughter to sit on the hydro massage bed. My daughter explained she did not pay for that. The lady explained she needed her to move to the hydro massage bed. My daughter moved to the hydro bed. Then I was asked to undress and get on the bed in another room. The lady said the room was hot, I was thinking, no kidding, I would be more then happy to wait in the waiting room. I never had seen the 11AM staff person come in yet. She said she just turned the air on to cool it down. While I was undressing the lady asked my daughter to move to the hydro bed right besides the other hydro bed she was on. There were a curtain between me and my daughter so I could hear and see everything. I looked at my daughter thinking this lady is nuts and I know my daughter looked at me thinking what the hell is up with this whacked lady. My daughter moved to the other hydro bed, they are about 2 feet apart. Then the lady said, "You need to lay down for insurance purposes." My daughter explained she would sit on the bed and study her note cards and not move. The lady said, would you like to leave then? My daughter said I'm not leaving my mother here but I will sit here and not move, I'm studying. Thank goodness my daughter did not leave. I believe she is off her meds or needs some. We are 2 adult women and I am almost fifty. I have been to many of spas and never ran across one like this. The lady comes back to me and puts cream on my face with a spoon, does not massage it in and then immediately puts a towel on my face and says it's suppose to be hot but she didn't have time to warm it up; then takes it off. What a waste of my time and money. Then she put something over my eyes, now they were closed, and she said nicely, is the red light too bright? She said if it is I can cover your eyes more. I said no, I can not even see a light. Then she flipped the switch on, which turned the light on and walked out of the room. The bright light lit up the whole room it seemed to me, I wished my eyes were covered more. I thought at least now she is gone, I kept telling myself, try to relax, she is out of the room. She came back and took the stuff off my eyes and asked if I was seeing stars. I was seeing little small stars and lots of them; she said some people see stars when they relax from this. I was thinking that was not the case as this spa visit has been the visit from hell. I left the hotter then hell room and she took me to a room and put a teaspoon of scrub in my hand and turned on the bathroom faucet and told me to scrub my hands together under the faucet. She said this would remove dead skin. If I wanted to wait on myself I could have stayed home. Then she had me put my hands in warm wax and lay on the hydro bed. She put towels on top of me to put my hands in. I did this for a few minutes but I was so hot from the hot room, I was sweating so I took my hands out of the towel, I was miserably hot. She came over turned the hydro off and said now its going to be difficult to get this wax off your hands because you took them out of the warm towel. The wax easily came off; I was so hot it was dripping off. The $129.00 my daughter spent was a waste. The Spa values their Radiant Package at a $336.00 value. I was taken back to the room at 10:42 and left at 11:10AM. At 11:05AM another staff person came in I am thinking she was supposed to give me my treatment. I was the only customer there and I never see cars in their driveway. I believe she is mentally unstable.
