I've used Dorrant twice. This last time I called in late morning and he was there late afternoon. He sent a text saying he was running late. When I called and described the sitution he knew what the problem was. When he arrived he went right to work fixing both the front and back doors. I had their services a couple of times...Be ware they do not give you estimates until AFTER they complete the work since they say we do not know how long/difficult it will be...The initial visit went sort of okay. Since I just moved in I needed as well as wanted all my locks changed immediately on the first visit. When Duran came back the second time (around 6:00PM) he worked about one hour and forty-five minutes. He changed the locks on two screen doors with one of the doors (Front Screen Door $14.99) taking great effort, knowledge and determination and the other lock was a Patio Handset ($24.99)... He had installed the first time a new security gadget that made the back sliding door much more secure. I was pleased like I said of the first visit... However, I kept calling and telling them I need some sort of handle installed on the sliding door as it took a great effort to open it (still does). He installed on the second visit the handle((cost for handle $139.99) along with a labor charge of $275.00 for 105 Minutes. His explanation was I was paying for his knowledge and not necessarily the time he worked on my behalf...and then he left and I was emailed the invoice $467.57 which I hit the roof... I eventually paid it as after repeated conversations they would not take one cent less...In conclusion for the most part he does fine work but for the average person he is a bit too expensive...The handle to the sliding door keeps loosening up and I asked for a call back and mentioned I do not expect to pay for this service call. I got back a very nasty response ...so I in turn told them to get lost... Fair warning...Buyer beware...make sure you know what you are paying for before they start if you can... read more

My mother was confused on a few things, so I call them to clarify. He was extremely defensive and ultimately said I am questioning him and we are not right for their business.
