Honestly I've never had to call a locksmith. So this was kind of my first experience with one. I called a number assuming it was treated as a toll number. And the lady on the phone told me she will connect me with someone nearby. A few mins later I get a call from Dorrant. Very polite and well-mannered. Told he me he will get around a certain time and he did. He has the hands of a god. His ever so gently turns to my safe worked like magic. But anytime I did it. Didn't work. Smh. But he was very quick. In and out in 30-40 mins and that's because he had to teach me how to use the safe. Haha. read more

I've used Dorrant twice. This last time I called in late morning and he was there late afternoon. He sent a text saying he was running late. When I called and described the sitution he knew what the problem was. When he arrived he went right to work fixing both the front and back doors. He spent two hours but the job was done correctly and the work was great. He cleaned up after he finished. His prices are more than fair. I highly recommend Dorrant and will use him again when needed. read more

They are the best, always so helpful and professional. Will use again for any lock issues. Thanks!

Dorrantt came exactly at the appointed time. Fixed my current lock problem in no time at all, and reworked something another lock smith had done a bad temporary fix on. I am supremely happy with his skills, the service and the price. Highly recommended read more

I agree with other reviewer's: Dorrant is the consummate professional. He is knowledgeable, very well organized, personable, punctual and reasonable in his price. Locked myself out of my home, called at 7 AM, he answered the phone himself. He collected all of my information quickly and gave me a 45 minute wait time. He arrived within 30 minutes. His van is clean and polished. He was dressed in a uniform and was well groomed. He was polite and worked quickly to open the door. Dorannt presented himself and his company as very reliable. Well I hope I never need another locksmith, if I do it will be Alockmedic. read more

I purchased new locks at Home Depot and tried to install new locks myself...big mistake. Dorrian came to the rescue. Called me back quickly, gave estimate quickly. Arrived at the scheduled time and worked quickly. Cleaned up when he finished and was able to make extra keys too. He offered to stay and explain how to program the touchpad as well. He was polite, clean, and efficient. Never tried to upsell me anything. Would highly recommend him! read more

Quick, painless, and affordable. I contacted Dorrant to re-key two locks at our new home and made an appointment. He provided me with a two hour window in which he would show up, and although he was slightly over, he was very professional about it and apologetic, how could we hold it against him? He worked quickly, even while training two new employees. He even took the time to show me how to reprogram our garage door remotes for extra security. I would highly recommend Dorrant for any locksmith needs. He is a true professional and takes pride in the work he does. I will use him for all lock work I need in the future and you should too. read more

My girlfriend and I both needed back up keys with Fobs for our cars. The dealerships wanted ungodly amounts of money for 1 key with 1 fob. Alockmedic locksmiths were not only ridiculously less expensive, they came to us, quickly and provided us with the keys and fobs. They were incredibly professional with great attitudes, you would be crazy to use anyone but Alockmedic for your locksmith needs. read more

I see why Dorrant has good reviews. Fast response and very professional and pleasant. Highly recommend. Added a keyed lock. Pleasure to deal with someone who appreciates their customers. Don't find much of that in SFL. UPDATE Called them for another job and again very happy with their work. Dorrant and Joe are courteous, punctual, neat and clean, polite and really did a nice job changing some stuff out. They're also medics so it's folks you feel like you can trust with something so important. read more

I called ALOCKMEDIC LOCKSMITHS to inquire about installing a new lock on my patio sliding glass door. I was told by Dorrant that he would get back to me as soon as he had an idea as to when he could stop by my house. He called within minutes and came over promptly. He was very professional.... very courteous, patient and friendly. After looking at my existing lock, he showed me how I could use it, thereby, he said, he could save me some money. More than anything, I was impressed with his honesty, as opposed to trying to talk me into something I didn't really need afterall. If I ever need a locksmith in the future again, I won't hesitate to call Dorrant! read more

We asked Dorrant of Alockmedic to come and resolve our problem based on Yelp reviews and he exceeded our expectations. From our initial call the night before to his understanding of our problem to arriving on time first thing the next morning and he did everything right. He offered up a couple of alternate solutions and was very patient as we made our decision. Dorrant fixed the problem quickly, was fairly priced and very courteous. We would call him again and highly recommend Alockmedic. read more

I had their services a couple of times...Be ware they do not give you estimates until AFTER they complete the work since they say we do not know how long/difficult it will be...The initial visit went sort of okay. Since I just moved in I needed as well as wanted all my locks changed immediately on the first visit. When Duran came back the second time (around 6:00PM) he worked about one hour and forty-five minutes. He changed the locks on two screen doors with one of the doors (Front Screen Door $14.99) taking great effort, knowledge and determination and the other lock was a Patio Handset ($24.99)... He had installed the first time a new security gadget that made the back sliding door much more secure. I was pleased like I said of the first visit... However, I kept calling and telling them I need some sort of handle installed on the sliding door as it took a great effort to open it (still does). He installed on the second visit the handle((cost for handle $139.99) along with a labor charge of $275.00 for 105 Minutes. His explanation was I was paying for his knowledge and not necessarily the time he worked on my behalf...and then he left and I was emailed the invoice $467.57 which I hit the roof... I eventually paid it as after repeated conversations they would not take one cent less...In conclusion for the most part he does fine work but for the average person he is a bit too expensive...The handle to the sliding door keeps loosening up and I asked for a call back and mentioned I do not expect to pay for this service call. I got back a very nasty response ...so I in turn told them to get lost... Fair warning...Buyer beware...make sure you know what you are paying for before they start if you can... read more

The best service ever. On time, polite, professional and competent service. Highly highly recommend without reservation. Also priced right.

My parents were looking to get an idea of what certain locks and options cost, after a few break-ins in their community. They were referred to this company. My mother was confused on a few things, so I call them to clarify. He was extremely defensive and ultimately said I am questioning him and we are not right for their business. I decided to slow the call down and explain why I was asking, and I wanted to possibly add other features and get an idea why they made a certain recommendation for an extra 68 dollars.. NEWSFLASH, anyone in business should try not to push sales away, and becomes so irritated, without having the acumen to work thru my question. Now he created a negative NON-customer. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE AT ALL, AS THEY DON'T NEED BUSINESS APPARENTLY AND SHOULD TAKE SOME CUSTOMER CERTIFICATION COURSES... read more

Found him on yelp and went with it. Dorrant the owner is fantastic. Moved into a new home, he changed everything out without having to buy new locks, just re-keyed the existing. Ex-military, yes sir, no sir, accommodating for times. Texted when he's on his way and actually arrived when he said he would. Found a problem with a door not latching after the work was paid for, no problem came back the day I called and fixed it. He's a pro, trust me. I would call him every time! read more

Dorrant is the man. He's a good dude that came out late at 9 ok. Friendly on the phone, works quickly and very fair price!

I hired Dorrant today to change 4 locks at my father's apartment. He has done excellent work for me in the past on other properties. As always, Dorrant is very polite and accommodating on the phone when setting the appointment. He showed up on time and did the work quickly. He charged a fair price and was very appreciative to have my business. Dorrant is one of the hardest working and finest people you could meet, and he is an excellet locksmith. I will continue to hire him and recommend him to others. read more

I never write reviews. This is my first ever. I recently found myself with a door that was smarter than me. Dorrant (owner of Alockmedic) was the nearest professional to my location and I was lucky to have called him. He was beyond respectful, knowledgeable and articulate. He was on time and prepared. He explained what was going on and taught me a few things I needed to know, as well as fix a door that was never installed properly (part of why I was having such a problem). If you need a locksmith stop reading and call him. I won't use anyone else. read more

Great service!!! Same day. On time and on top of that you get an extremely nice guy. Highly recommend

Dorant is an excellent locksmith, but even better than that he is a very professional businessman who is easy and pleasant to work with. He installed a digital lock for me today and spent a lot of time teaching my tenant how to use it. This was my second use of his service, and should the need arise I certainly will call on him again. read more

Service was amazing. On time competitively priced courteous and knowledgeable. Highly recommend

Used Dormant to fix our door. He showed up on time. Since our door is thirteen years old, he was only able to do a temporary fix. He was able to direct us to a door company who was able to help us. He is the rarest form of business man, one who will go out of his way to ensure that the customer is taken care of. One who will give up business to help. I would not hesitate to use this honest and hardworking man and neither should you! read more

These guys were amazing! Dorrant and Jerry arrived on time, changed two doorknobs and installed two additional deadbolt locks. They changed out all the keys, rekeyed all the locks and provided me with 6 sets, saving me a trip to Loews to have keys made. They are professional, excellent at what they do and incredibly respectful of my home, cleaning up periodically. I would hire them again in a heartbeat! read more

Fantastic service . A domestic situation required immediate attention and several lock changes . I called Dorrant ( based on Yelp reviews) and was an excellent and smooth process from the initial phone contact . Prompt , personable, extremely clean , and a wonderful price. Dorrant is amazing! He arrived on time with his truck - which looked like a regular truck on the outside- but was very high tech and well equipped on the inside! He listened to my concerns and quickly evaluated what I needed. He made recommendations and we agreed on a product that he did not have in his truck but knew that I really wanted. He then went out and got what I wanted and came back same day and installed everything to perfection. Dorrant has a great (I can do anything) attitude and I am so glad that I chose to work with him. I highly recommend him! read more

With all the horror stories you hear about locksmiths, it's easy to worry when you find yourself desperately needing one on a weekend. Dorrant is the standard all locksmiths should aspire to. I called him on a Sunday morning hoping he'd have an available appointment in the near future, and to my pleasant surprise he said he could come out that very day. He arrived both on time and prepared, with a friendly demeanor to boot. It took him 15 minutes to switch out my busted mailbox lock and when he was finished he allowed me to inspect his work while he briefly explained everything he did. He's friendly, professional, and honest - no bogus estimates that he jacks up once it's too late to back out. His price was extremely reasonable. I will absolutely recommend him to everyone in the area he services. Like mechanics, trustworthy locksmiths are hard to find. Dorrant is a true gem. read more
