I ended up changing the bottom lock as well as the top lock. I wanted a good quality lock. He installed the same lock that he uses at his property. Saving money is not number one when looking for good security. Then I paid him to fix the sliding glass doors. The owner also helped me with hurricane shutters that would not close. He explained that shaking them and moving slowly while holding the upper and lower part of the accordion shutter works best. The prices were reasonable and the value for service received was good. I'm not a fan of leaving bad reviews, especially as someone who usually "looks at the bright side" of things, but after it sat on me, I figured I would share my unfortunate experience. I am thankful that I was able to receive such fast service, but disappointed at the outcomes. I contacted a couple of businesses to get my car's key cylinder fixed. Considering that I also had work being done inside the house, I chose to go with the business that was able to come to me. The pictures show an example of the results. I was disappointed to see my car in such condition after receiving the service. I was informed that my service would have been $100 more had I been charged for the service that was done. I hate feeling taken advantage of. I would have gladly paid for good service. I would have been more than happy to pay an additional $100 if that would've resulted in no damage done instead, I'm currently at the dealership ordering parts to my car that will inevitably cost more more to fix than the initial problem. I hate being taken advantage of. The guy seemed nice and genuine (hence 2 stars in comparison to 1), but I truly believe the damage could have been avoided. UPDATE: I was promptly contacted by the business owner and offered a refund. The guy who worked on my house was very nice and communicated very well. Thank you to whoever I spoke with last. I bought a used but new-to-me SmartCar when my 8 year old one died in the grand flooding on April 13, 2023. I had to travel to find one because they're not importing them anymore, and in the process, I ended up buying a car with a single key. I am not a car chick, and I felt stressed and stupid. I hadn't really thought much about how much keys cost since you could get one at the hardware store for a dollar or two. Because the cars aren't as plenteous here in Florida and because they're phasing them out, Angel Locksmith could not provide the service I needed but gave me a lot of information to plan and problem-solve. Michal's willingness to check with their technician right away on a Friday evening gave me a lot of comfort and support, and I know up front that I'm probably going to have to go through Mercedes. The only Mercedes dealer locally is an hour drive from my home, but at least I know to plan to get there on a day that they can provide the service for me. ***If I need any other locksmith services in the future, I will not hesitate to call Angel Locksmith first. *** (Hopefully that will be a few years from now when SmartCar gets completely phased out.
