Can't believe I'm writing the first review! This mall have been here for years... over time less and less people stop shopping here. But I still really love it because to its less crowded know matter what time or day you shop. Y'all sleeping on almeda mall! Gyros sandwich shop? Omg! They have the best toasted philly Cheesesteak with fries.. perfect to me with bell pepper, onion and a pickle spear on the side. I come here monthly to Burlingtons, underground station, champs, Macy's, 9.99 shoe store and etc! Hibert sports have the best inventory of shoes to me. I don't have to get a ticket or wait in a line for some darn shoes. I pop up when I pull up. read more

I just wanna start this off by saying that technically we did not go into the mall. We were here for the circus Vazquez that was in the parking lot of the mall and honestly it was a great location because parking was free and there was a lot of parking and we did have to walk on the ground to hang out at the show and it was pretty stable and there weren't a bunch of potholes. It was an easy in and out onto I 45 and I'm not gonna lie. I did feel a little unsafe thinking about it, but there was so much security that there were no problems and we had a great time. read more

I was looking for Bath and Body Works but saw this beautiful tree. I walked around to get a better picture and saw a hand wave. It was Santa!! I told him I didn't even see him at first. Let's get these potholes together Almeda... I would love to see updated food spots too. Overall a chill mall with a good selection of stores. The service is good depending on the store you go to and the value is the same as other malls. read more

Every time I pass Almeda Mall (#1) the first thing I'm wondering is if it's still open. Then I'll find a reason to come in and immediately wonder if it's on its last legs. It's so empty and depressing that it may as well be declared a dead mall, especially when most of the only people here are employees. It gets even sadder knowing that this mall underwent a substantial renovation only 5-6 years ago, in which they got rid of the brick walls and flooring. It isn't as big as it looks from the outside but it even looks reasonably updated in some parts. Since there's not a lot of people around most of the time, there are a lot of vacant stores and eerie feels in the main areas of the mall. While they still have Macy's and Burlington, that's about it for department stores. The food court is a sad mix of the likes of Krispy Crunchy Chicken, Thirsty's, and Sevilla Pizza just to name a few. I'm not going to say if anything is good, but I will say the employees look extra bored. Some parts of the parking lot look like a war zone. I've frequently complained about how another nickname for Houston ought to be pothole city (#2) and this lot is full of them. Word to the kids: Don't go joyriding here late at night. I really do hope that the mall is able to incorporate a business that will breathe some life back into the place. I can't say, I don't like this mall because this is the mall I used to come to when I was a kid---the Picadillys used to be good, but I don't know how it is now. I come here every once and a while though not many people flock this mall anymore. It is pretty dangerous at night, but seriously what area in Houston isn't?! They have new stores now--like Bath & Body Works. They do have a shoe store that gives you a good deal. read more

Welp, it's going to be a no from me, dawg! I'm slightly embarrassed I even visited this mall. it is the absolute worst. I am always amused at the amount of cars that are packed in the parking lots surrounding this mall. I have always been convinced by the dark and gloomy exterior that the Devil lives here ( just a joke). I wonder what the draw of this place is? There are hardly any shop worthy stores here and it's not that clean! Anywho, most people that know me know that I really do hate malls in general. If I do go to one I go exactly to where the item is that I am going to purchase, purchase it, and go! I do not make eye contact with a single kiosk vendor and avoid the cosmetic displays altogether. I had to buy some scrubs for my new job and also decided to buy a coat at Burlington ( apparently, they are no longer the " coat factory) since it can get freezing cold at night. I purchased my items and got out of there. The inside of the mall is drab and depressing. I feel as if you can take the whole thing in in less than ten minutes. read more

I dread busy malls, I don't like the hustle and bustle of shopping. As my therapy, I need it to be relaxing and time consuming. Spending on a whim only. This mall is not as dead, as another one I like to spend quality time at, but almost as dead. I enjoy being able to take up the sales clerks time with non-sense chatter. In return, them taking my time at the perfume counters. I'm a fan of mall walkers as I can be one too. They have two of my favorite stores, Macy's and Palais Royal. Burlington is there too, not one of my favorites but it starting to grow on me. Sort-of, not really, but it's there. Don't you all rush here to shop, I strut these hallways because the lack of you all. Sorry, not sorry. read more

The outside of the mall isn't that clean and the customer service in general is subpar. I've been to better malls in Houston but I happened to be in the area so I came here. Nothing was bad enough to not have me come back to get some things. read more

This review is slightly skewed. First off, I am usually doing my shopping at the Galleria if I go to a physical mall, or I shop online. However, when the holidays come around I am forced to actually go out and buy some of my gifts. Well, this year to make things simple I went to Macy's and got a bunch of gift cards. I must say this mall is actually pretty close to my house. It's right off the highway and it's not too crowded to parking is easy surface lots. The Macy's here has been recently renovated. I was able to get in and get out in less than 30 minutes. read more

This is a tiny mall with very limited shopping options. Luckily, I only needed a Macy's, since I had a very specific product in mind, but I wouldn't choose this mall for window shopping. read more

Almeda Mall is not a luxurious mall by any means but has quite a few hidden gems! One of them being Geovanni, which is an affordable suit store that caters to all sizes and styles. They have so much too choose from and quick tailoring! The owner mike is great at what he does and will have you feeling like a million bucks. A plus- this business is family owned! read more

Stay away from the toy store in the middle of the mall . Purchased a toy on December 24 it broke on Christmas Day . They told me all sales are final when I spoke with Ricky no warranty. If you want a store where there's yeezys Travis Scott collabs off white supreme and stuff like that you should come to Exclusive Elements the only store that sell stuff like that and you can stay there the time you want recommended it's by foot action and foot locker and miles from the toy store you'll see a key master machine and that's it read more

Expect little to nothing inside this mall. My grandma used to take me here when I was younger just to get out of the house and nothing more. Their most popular stores would probably be the Footaction, Macy's, and Palais Royal but besides that the pickings are extremely slim. I usually go to 3-6-5 which has clothes for going out and a lot of cheap heels. Almeda mall is honestly a mall you would go to if you are searching for one specific thing that you know for a fact they will carry and not necessarily for the atmosphere. read more

We stopped here to avoid the five o'clock traffic after dinner. I was pleasantly surprised be the Macy's. It was neat, clean, and bright. However, the rest of the mall was awful. It is small, old, and ready to close. read more

This review is about 3D Games, a store within the mall. 3D Games is a smaller, franchised business in the vein of Gamestop that buys and sells used games. I was browsing their selection when I came across a game I was interested in and paid for it. I asked the associate to see the CD's condition, and we both agreed it looked pretty bad. He offered a refund if the game didn't work on my Playstation 2. I pointed out the receipt's mention of "no refunds," but he said he'd work it out. I decided to give it a try and went home to see if it worked. Unfortunately, the game wouldn't load. When I returned, he stammered and said that he shouldn't have offered me the refund and that he would get in trouble for it. I asked to speak with his manager, but he refused. A customer came in line behind me, and I let him take care of them and put my situation on hold. When they asked him if they could get a refund if the game they bought (Watch Dogs 2) didn't work, he said they could, which was what he told me. He called his manager, but didn't even ask if he could offer a refund, only an exchange. After that, he continued to refuse my request for a refund and to speak with his manager. I understand there's a lot of smaller businesses in the mall, but a little customer service goes a long way, especially when competing against bigger stores like Walmart, Amazon, and even Ebay. I prefer to support local businesses when possible, but in this case, I cannot recommend this store. EDITED: Included a detail missed in the OP. read more
