We stopped at a perfume stand (where my friend gets all her perfumes) and the stand owner was very kind and helped us choose the scent we were looking for. We also checked out the food court and probably got the best chips and salsas and pupusas I've ever had and the a western wear/boot store. The boots were high quality and sourced from Mexico which was super cool! Next time I go definitely want to explore more.

I mean, there's nothing Olympic at all about it, it's actually the heart of Indiatown, full of South Asian gems. It's a wonderful plaza full of Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, and other delights from South Asia and the subcontinent. This is the epicentre and hotbed of all things Desi in greater Houston, and even though Sugar Land probably has more Indian restaurants, some of the very best ones are here, not least Shri Balaji Bhavan, which is one of the best South Indian meals we've ever had, and of course the legendary Himalaya, which my good friend Kashif first introduced me to, where the Chicken Hara Masala is life-changing. Two large sections of the mall are carved out into Mercados, providing shopping experiences similar to what you'd find in Mexican open air markets. It may be a bit weird to see a flea market style atmosphere in the mall, but that's exactly what it is, complete with live performances like a Mariachi group every Sunday. There aren't a lot of major chains in this mall, and Burlington Coat Factory is probably the only thing that could possibly qualify as an anchor store, but they just added a new predominantly Spanish cinema and they've loaded up their food court with one-off establishments that serve quality food, which is a major plus.

Indeed, Teaholic has some wonderful Vietnamese drinks and a lot of delicious Boba, such as the Strawberry Black Tea which is one of the best of its kind anywhere. And the Strawberry Aloe reminds me of the Aloe Refresher from Fruitealicious in Dallas. Amazing. Bambu, next door, is the very best location of the Viet dessert and drink chain, making some of the best smoothies you'll ever have - especially the Honeydew, the Taro Coconut, the Mocha, and the Berry. But there's a lot more than just Viet stuff here, with amazing Korean Chicken (Lim's) as well as soups and stews and rice stone pot bowls aplenty. Zero Degrees (Cali chain) has a wonderful and popular location here, with their Strawberry Mojito and Strawberry Lime drinks off the charts, and their Cucumber Lime, Viet Coffee, Strawberry Horchata, and more, also stellar. Not a fan of Chili and Mango stuff, but their Mangonada is famous and popular too. And they do split cups (so does Teaholic). This is a massive sprawling and magical shopping center that it's hard not to love. I know strip malls are ugly and generic, but not all are created equal, and this massive oval-shaped monstrosity is honestly beautiful, and some of the fancy restaurants along the highway are gorgeous, with lake views. We've been loving it for a long time, since a couple of days after I met Barbi, when I came here. There's a lot going on here, so many stores and a lot of love honestly. A lot of fond memories and wonderful times I've had here over the years at FOTL, much better than LOTR for example. So I have a very close and romantic association with it. There was a Borders here long long time ago and I fell in love, and that's how it goes. You know how it goes. Lots of love in this place. I lake what I see. You will too. If it were out of ten, I'd give it a Foun-Ten.
