The Bellaire Triangle Shopping Center just got a makeover and it looks amazing! Lots of fun things…read moreare on the way--new restaurants, beauty spots, urgent care, and more. Love seeing this historic center full of life again. I feel like it will soon become a very popular area for shopping and dining.

I will try to give you a *right angle* on the triangle, which is a set of stores and businesses…read morethat circled their wagons and face the surrounding streets. It's nondescript, with some wear evident in most of the buildings. Interestingly, it divides Bellaire generally as follows: Commercial to the North of it, Hispanic to the West, and well-to-do homes to the South (the triangle's "High-pot-in-use" only occurs occasionally, when students from the high school much further south park in the lot at night). Opened in February 1959, and the basic sign is still in place. This shopping center history is somewhat like that of the Bermuda Triangle, with regard to disappearing things - shops in this case. But unlike Bermuda Triangle, this one is safer, since it is surrounded by donut shops (shaped like life preservers). History: http://blog.chron.com/bayoucityhistory/2010/01/bellaire-triangle-shopping-center/ Some store histories: Bellaire Coffee shop ( a real coffee shop from a time warp to an original location of One's a Meal) Jeanne's Rock Shop ... store disappeared, but rocks can still be bought from Jeanne on-line CVS formerly Eckerd's formerly Madings Rexall Drugs Ninfas, now Carmelitas Ghost stores: One's a Meal, Grif's burgers So, pass this triangle with caution, or you, too, may disappear... or at least have *acute* pain (you did pass Geometry in school, right?)
