I remember when they started to build this shopping area. It's in a relatively difficult to access area, find the one entrance from Post Oak or come in on the feeder. The parking is really rough at certain times of the day, as many many spots are stolen by the valet drivers. I want to run over their little orange cones. The little buildings are all different colors, textures, shape, and size. There is a mix of restaurants, expensive shopping, spas, and specialty shops. Some of the reasonable places are Cafe Express, Crave cupcakes, Berripop, and the University co-op store. I don't walk around the area, I just destination shop and get the heck out of there. I don't see many people strolling around. There is a heavy influx of the lunch crowd who either fight for parking spots or just do the valet thing. Overall, pick an off time to shop around here. Try and park away from the most dense areas. Avoid lunchtime. read more

Another one of those generalized areas reviews. I never like doing these because it's so hard to put everything in together; there are so many strengths but so many weaknesses all at the same time. The parking and traffic around this area is terrible. Most of the shops are way over priced and let's not get started on parking. However, there are some super bright spots. Crave Cupcakes and the UT Coop. If you want to see a decent free car show just walk through this parking lot during peak hours. read more

One great thing about Houston is that it gives you options. There are a multitude of places where you can go spend your money. Now, Uptown park is a great spot where you can conveniently spend your hard earned dollars all in one place!! You can find very good sushi, great sports bars, cigar bars, great restaurants, great wine bars and great desserts! Cheap, not really. But definitely worth the trip. Another great thing about Uptown park is: Location! Location! LOCATION! I used to live around the area and I must say is a great spot to go on a Friday or Saturday night, to have a drink or just relax. Plenty of parking everywhere. A lot of the businesses also offer complimentary valet (such as McCormick and Schmick's). Love the place and my friend recently told me about Coffee and Cars, sounds like an awesome way to spend a Saturday morning... checking out cars I can't really afford... LOL! read more

The shopping center is upscale and in a great area that's accessible by highway, but you encounter nothing but problems from the moment you drive in. There are numerous valet zones taking up all of the would-be-open parking areas during most hours of the day, and you literally have to fend them off to get parking spaces that aren't coned off because they try to park cars in those spots before parking in the coned areas. There are a lot of quality establishments around, including Etoile (a great French restaurant), Champp's (more American fare), the Tasting Room (a wine bar), a collegiate apparel store, and Belvedere (a nightclub). Most of it is pretty pricey, but this is a definite hotspot in the Uptown area if you want to grab a bite to eat or go shopping without running into the Galleria. read more

Uptown park has shimmering, glitzy high-end retail and restaurant space. Laid out on a single level with exterior entrances, this is several acres of land with a parking lot into which different color brick buildings have been wedged. Parking at lunch is impossible - with the majority of entrances have been blocked by double parkers and the remaining spaces blocked by valet parking cones. Once you find a parking space, you may be so irritated that you aren't hungry any more. Dinner time is a bit more civil, except game days at Champp's Americana.... The shops are filled with all kinds of goods for those who like that sort of thing. Bravo to InterFin Corporation for recreating the European Shopping Experience of Westbury Square of years ago; and for creating the home of a future abandonnned shopping center when something/anything new and better comes along. The Galleria, it ain't; but better than most strip malls. Don't expect bargains. read more

Uptown park is pretty much a shopping center for the wealthy. It mainly has food options, as well as some retail and others: surgery clinic, club, tobacco shop etc. During Christmas time they light up the area which is nice. Only problem is that parking is a b*** on busy nights. Uptown has their own valet deal going on in the parking lot so Champps, Belvedere, Tasting Room's parking is all dominated by valet. It's technically "free" but I can understand why people get annoyed. read more

Uptown Park The Times I have been here I had a great time. It is a great place to walk around go to different stores and enjoy your day with the ones you care about. I usually go to the My Fit Foods, starbucks, and Champps. The parking is not that bad and the people around here are very friendly. I used to live around here and I would always go to the Starbucks and sit outside and enjoy the day. There is not that much to say about this Place just that it is a great place and everything is presented well with great restaurants, and stores. I would come here whenever I have the chance. read more

Oh my gosh. This shopping center used to be easy and fun. They've recently redone the parking lot and I have tried several times (although usually the lunch hour) to go and could find zero parking. I've literally driven around on several occasions for 10 minutes and had to leave. Maybe other times of day are fine but highly recommend staying away 11-1. read more

Fun and quite area behind busy galleria if you want to stay in the "Galleria" area but remain hidden and apart from the chaos. Starbucks and crave cupcakes are located here which is nice to grab a treat and walk around! read more

Uptown park reminds me of those happy days I spent in Denver, Colorado. I don't know why but it reminds me of that place. I love the atmosphere, the stores and especially sitting outside Potbelly's restaurant and just taking in the sun and people watching. It's very relaxing. It is definitely one of my favorite spots in Houston. read more

Fun and especially during games! Lots a beers on tap and the menu is full of different delicious choices! Bug portions! Always excellent service! During big games it gets packed so get there early if you want a seat! Cool decor and there's also outdoor seating. Oops I thought this was champps site that in this shopping center.
