I was a bit skeptical on trying this place due to all the different types of cuisines on the menu- pasta, tortas, bibimbap and more. I decided to give it a shot and placed a delivery order. The food came quick, warm and so good! Really good size portions of food at reasonable prices. It seems like there's something for everyone on their menu. I will be ordering again soon! We really didn't know what to expect when we made the reservation because this place is kinda new. Upon arrival we really were surprised at how delicious the food is. We had bacon wrapped shrimp ( spectacular ) crab ragoons and a wonderful walnut salad with amazing dressing. The presentation was like eye candy. The had a wonderful server that greeted us with a smile and friendly attitude. I would really recommend this place next time your looking for something wonderful. We were here on a cooler night, but can't wait to come back on a summer night when the music is pumping and the garage doors are open to the outside air. We will be back! read more

This a a great place. I've had carry out here before but a couple of weeks ago,I was able to take my son. We both love eating and cooking food. Alma has a diverse menu that attracts a variety of appetites. We plowed through their bacon wrapped shrimp and honey tamarind chicken wings. Both were so good. My son had shrimp jambalaya and because my neighbor recommended it, I had the pepper beef lomo saltado. My neighbor was spot on. Both of our dishes were just stellar. Do not go here. Worst experience ever. First, we were told we did not have a reservation. We did. Then after being seated we waited 40 minutes for a drink and a cup of soup. Thirty minutes later, we watched them serve their family members who had showed up a half hour after us. When we questioned the owner, she looked at us like she did not know what we were talking about. There were at least four other tables that had not received service. We paid our bill and left. Can't remember what day we went, but there weren't many people when we were there: our table of two, and then two other tables of 2 people (both of which were finishing up as we arrived). Everything took sooooo long. Our server was nice, but I was confused as to why things weren't moving at an appropriate pace (seeing as how we were the only table in need of service), and trust me, I'm a patient person! Every part of the dining experience took a long time... getting water, getting appetizers, getting silverware (because they didn't give us any when we were seated), 15 minutes to get a bottle of wine (which wasn't chilled properly), long time for food (I ordered the shrimp and grits which tasted like they microwaved it and then put it on top of the grits, or either it sat too long under a heat light and started to congeal). I ordered a sandwich to go for my mom, which took another 20 minutes. She did say it tasted good! All in all, I felt like the meal was just OK. I probably wouldn't go back for a very long time, and even then I would probably try to exhaust other possibilities before settling on Alma as my final choice. There definitely needs to be an improvement in the service. Not sure if it's the kitchen, the wait staff, or a combination of the two. I've worked in food service before, so I understand things happen, but there wasn't any acknowledgement by staff, which is what was missing. Acknowledgement or comping an appetizer or a dessert probably would have at least made me feel like they knew the service was taking way longer than it should, which would have, in turn, made me think this was just an isolated incident and that if I were to return I would have a different experience. But alas, that didn't happen. Proceed with caution. read more

I would come back for the horchata alone! A cool, clean space with something on the menu for every palate - no really! We had bibimbap, crab rangoons, pasta, bbq pulled pork, and quesadillas all in one sitting.
