This time I tried the Taco Salad ($18) and was just as pleased as I was during the bar crawl. The shell was crunchy and the meat was seasoned perfectly. Both times I had the frozen margarita trio (classic, mango and strawberry) and the second visit they had a lot more kick. I believe the flavors may change depending on if they are out of a certain flavor/fruit. I giggled from the time I left the restaurant to I got back to the car. Thankfully I had a designated driver. Parking is in a garage attached to the building, but the restaurant is easily walkable if you are in the area. The lady that was our server doesn't really come to mind, but I would imagine she provided adequate service since I don't recall her, I do recall that she offered me a tequila shot or a churro as a birthday item, so be sure to let them know if its your birthday. Our group rented the private back room. Ahead of time, we went through the cumbersome process of pre-ordering from a limited menu, with the reassurance that day-of substitutions would be allowed. Unfortunately, the service and organization completely unraveled from the moment we arrived. The many cons of the evening include the following: - Slow initial service: It took 40 minutes just for a server to greet our table and bring water. - Delayed drinks: Drink orders took an hour to arrive, and some guests never received their drinks at all. The bar even ran out of ice, serving warm, flat cocktails. - Unacceptable food delays: Appetizers took two hours, and main courses took three hours to arrive. - Abandoned side dishes: Side dishes arrived so late that some guests had already finished eating their main courses, forcing us to cancel all remaining sides and desserts. - Inattentive staff: Water refills and clearing of finished plates were so painfully slow that a member of our own party had to step in to clear the table and refill water glasses. Another guest waited an excessive amount of time for basic cutlery. - Ignored requests: When I asked to change a pre-ordered side, the manager, Ashley, said she would follow up but never returned to address it. The manager Ashley showed a striking lack of accountability or concern for our experience. When we addressed the poor service, she unprofessionally suggested we dispute the mandatory 20% gratuity with our banks rather than address the issue directly. At $120 per person, the complete lack of attention to detail, organization, and basic hospitality is unacceptable. I cannot recommend this establishment and advise others to save their time and money.

She was an awesome server, attentive, but not annoying, cool, laid back, helpful, gave great recommendations and descriptions of dishes and drinks on the menu. Please give her all the flowers. And the other staff were great too, even though I wasn't their table, they stopped by to make sure I was having a good experience. As I mentioned, this restaurant is focused on Oaxacan cuisine. They make their corn tortillas in house (you can watch them at the window that peeks into the kitchen). I had the lobster tacos (a special) and they were cheesy and chewy (in a good way). I had the tacos al pastor with pineapple (my favorite). I learned pastor is about how they are marinated, not the fact they are pork (you can have pastor without pork). That's another thing about my time here--Raven educated me about all the food and drink and traditions of Oaxaca! I also had the mushroom tacos, which were flavorful and a great vegan option. Topped off with pickled red onion. I had several drinks, all complex and made with various versions of mezcal (though there are drinks available without). The most fun was the mezcal flight at the end, topped with oranges and chili-spiced grasshoppers. It was a dramatic presentation and so much fun! I got lucky--they are usually busy, but I came in on a lazy Wednesday. I was made to feel like a VIP. It was a three hour long affair. Raven was AMAZING. I would go back again and again. Upstairs just had a DJ outside, and since they have bars both upstairs and downstairs, the age restriction didn't make much sense to us, but it definitely disrupted our original plans. So we were told we had to wait 30 minutes for a table, but thankfully, we only waited about 15 minutes for our party of seven, which was downstairs at the outside patio. The weather was perfect and sitting outside turned out to be really nice. Our waitress, Kendall, was absolutely amazing. She was incredibly attentive, gave awesome recommendations for both food and drinks, and made a stressful situation so much smoother. Overall, the food was really good! The rice and beans were perfectly seasoned and soft, plus they were complimentary! I also had the taco fried shrimp which was fried to perfection. The corn tortillas were fresh and very tasteful and even the enchiladas were yummy! And the drinks were great. It turned out to be a nice evening out with family. But just a major FYI if you are bringing kids or anyone under 21: they cannot go upstairs, though I'm not sure if that is an everyday rule or just for Saturdays. Plan accordingly!

The real standout for me...though, was the MIAMI VICE (soft serve frozen margarita). It was smooth, refreshing, and absolutely delicious--especially on a warm Atlanta day. It's one of those drinks you'll find yourself craving long after you've left. I came with a couple of friends, and they've been texting me ever since about how much they loved the food and the overall experience. That's always a sign you've picked a winner! This location is the largest one I've been too!
