This time, I started to get a sausage biscuit for our dog, but remembered how much I loved sausage McGriddle. It's been ages since I've had a McGriddle. The syrup is cooked into the pancake like bun and it goes so well with sausage. I ended up giving our dog, Baxter, the Egg McMuffin and I ate his sausage McGriddle. We were both happy. We got through the drive through quickly with no glitches. Just what you want when traveling.

Our ribeye was amazing, marinated in spices and cooked to perfection. We chose the two included sides and ours were a loaded baked potato and string beans. Because we shared the 12 Oz steak, we added a side and chose grilled zucchini. All were grilled in real butter, except of course, the potato. And even though our amazing, cheerful server, Joey, assured us real butter in the grilling, the loaded potato's condiments were real sour cream, real bacon bits, chives and for some mysterious reason little butter/looking tubs of dreaded "vegetable" oil. When we mentioned this to Joey, she shared our surprise and immediately offered to replace the whole side, which we declined, simply scraping off the fluffy yellow, heart-damaging, pretend oil. Joey even checked with the chef before we had to ask about dessert options and was happy to report safe choices were all butter coconut cake and vanilla ice cream. We're not trying to be difficult, just healthy. And with servers like Joey, there's hope that people are becoming aware. In any case, with the exceptions mentioned, a good steakhouse like Mesquite Canyon is always a good bet for the health conscious. It has been a long, long time since I've seen this kind of detailed upkeep and busyness by workers in a service business.
