Last night I ordered Supreme Pizza, hand tossed. It was just okay, wished I'd ordered the thin crust. Small towns have one Pizza place, so you enjoys what there is. Tonight we went back for a burger, and it was very good, not too cooked so it remained juicy. Had jalapeños melted on with the cheese. Fries were the tiny size crinkle cut. Condiments were put on the table just like at home! This is a Shamrock must! read more

My husband and I had an amazing burger at Rusty's on 66! The 8 oz Rusty's burger had all the trimmings plus green chilis and melted white cheese. Fries were plentiful, hot and well seasoned! We could not believe the price wax $11.20!!!! Our server, Strace, was a charming, attentive young man!! If you're driving on I-40 in Texas, stop in Shamrock and spend a few hours. My husband and I had dinner here while we were in Shamrock, and it was a delightful meal. The restaurant is fairly small, with 6 to 8 tables and a bar that seats half a dozen folks; our timing was good as there was an open table when we arrived. The menu is somewhat limited, with pizza, burgers, wings and salads, but the food is great and decently priced. They have an excellent beer selection as well as soft drinks, and we saw several families dining while we were there. The place has a very down-home atmosphere and is favored by locals. The staff is friendly (especially the young man at the cashier's/reception desk), and the service was good. I had the vegetarian pizza (thin crust) and my husband had the Rusty's burger, which was quite substantial (probably 1/3 pound of meat) and really yummy. Traveling through miles and miles of farmland and ranches, towards the end of the day, it was nice to find that Rusty's, in Shamrock, Texas, was open until 10:00 p and it was as great as the Yelpers said. Across from our motel for the night. Called for delivery. $35 with tip. My rusty burger was fantastic, and my kid loved her cheese pizza. We both had a pop as well. (Rootbeer and DP) Galaxy who delivered it was friendly, and food arrived in a timely manner. Definitely hit the spot after a long drive. I'm not sure if there is a delivery charge or not. read more

What a great place! We were traveling and staying the night in Shamrock at the Sleep Inn & Suites Hotel. We were able to walk to Rusty's from the Hotel which is a plus. A friendly welcome when we walked through the door. Sat at the small 6 stool bar. Nice variety of bottled beer available and a nice variety of pizzas too. We had a few beers and wings at the bar and ordered a pizza to go. Had great conversation with others sitting at the bar. What a great place and a must stop! read more

I tried for 45 minutes to call to place an order. I kept getting a message to leave a message or stay on the line. I finally left a message. 20 minutes later, no return call. We drove to the restaurant. It was closed. It would have been useful if they had edited the Yelp listing or provided that information to callers. I waited over a 1/2 hour for a cheese burger and fries, which both arrived burnt. I was charged a premium for beer that is made locally, and the waitress couldn't explain why. The staff all had a "whatever attitude." Utensils were umatched plastic. The tables were rickety and sticky. Shamrock Texas can do better. read more

Had the Rusty burger and cheese fries. Burger was overcooked and bland. Mustard was the only thing that could be tasted. Not even the peppers had any flavor. Fries were soggy, presumably because they were microwaved. They were crinkle cut that were more than likely from frozen and topped with cheap shredded cheese. I never thought in a million years I'd recommend a McDonalds burger over any dive bar, restaurant, grill, diner etc., but I wish I had gotten a big mac instead. My only solace is knowing I'll never have to be in these parts ever again so I'll never have to see this joint for the rest of my life. read more

I saw another customer enjoying BBQ chicken wings, and you can also get a burger. Rusty's has a good selection of cold beer, with special pricing for a beer bucket. I wish I could give a complete negative star. So disappointed in this place. We drive for some time thinking we have plenty of time to stop here for a late dinner. This is the only restaurant open for miles around that says it doesn't close until 10PM. ITS A LIE!!!! We show up just after 9PM and with several people walking around inside they are closed. Someone happened to pick up a pizza in the drive thru even though it was after 9PM and I had to knock on the window and ask. Yes... it even says that they don't close until 10PM. Another couple walked up and tried the door also. So, as my wife and I sit at a fast food place I could not let it be and here I am. I hope this saves someone else making the same mistake as us in trusting their website and what their door says. Now I really understand why so many places close up along this highway. read more
