The brief encounter with Rusty's staff was very pleasant and the pizza was great! Even though we weren't allowed to enter, we could see how adorable the restaurant was both inside and on their outdoor dining patio. Rusty's is a gold mine. Seriously. It's a very cute restaurant in the middle of Shamrock that's dressed up with lots of Route 66 memorabilia, and the whole restaurant has a very warm, inviting atmosphere. When we walked in we were greeted by the sweetest woman I have ever met (can't recall her name) who was very accommodating, thorough, and especially patient when we took forever to order. They have a small menu and this means they do their food REALLY well. Everything's cooked to order which means you won't have any tummy troubles but it may take a minute to come out. I ordered the rusty burger with an unsweet tea on the side. The tea was amazing, strong how I liked it but not bitter at all so I could actually have the unsweetened version. The sweetened version might pair better with a big burger though. The Rusty burger was as big as my face with good quality beef and plenty of jalapenos, pickles, and all the fixings. I also tried some Teriyaki wings which were tasty and crispy. Great spot to swing by on an overnight stop. read more

This is our second year trying Rusty's on our way back from Red River!! Last year when we ordered out from there the pizza wasn't ready when we got there and 30 mins later it was finally done. Taste was ok........ this year when we came through town we ordered and gave them A second chance!! They told us twenty minutes..... we got there they said it wasn't quit ready but she could ring us up. She did and came back to the window saying they were cutting it. In a few mins the owner came to the window and said our pizza had been given away. Could she remake it for us. We agreed and they remade it and brought it out to us!! The pizza is good but twice in a row of poor customer service not sure we will be back. read more

This is good pizza at a reasonable price. Place has a bar that seats about 5 people and and about 7, 4 top tables. Has some decent Texas craft beer and a good selection of interesting soft drinks, like Dr Pepper in bottles and Fanta. They also have burgers and wings, which from observation look good. They deliver, so a plus if you are staying in one of the hotels off the interstate. It's a bit of a sports bar vibe, very few restaurants in Shamrock have food and beer. Overall a great alternative to McDonalds and Taco Bell. The current location is about 200 yards east of the U Drop Inn, right next to the vinyl record shop, it's not on the west end of town as indicated by the original yelp listing. read more

If I was a local I'd be a regular! Small, five tables and a few bar stools filled with people who know each other. Rocking music and no televised sports. A small menu offers cold beer, wings, burgers, and magnificent pizza. I do not like or order pizza but this was an amazingly thin crust, super choice of toppings, and served crispy and piping hot. read more

What a great little place! We were passing through on Rt 40 looking for a local Non Chain restaurant for lunch. We loved the soda in glass bottles and ordered the Rusty Burger. It did not disappoint. There was just enough jalapeños and green chili's to spice up it up but not too much that I couldn't taste the burger. The ladIes at the restaurant couldn't be friendlier! I definitely recommend you jump off 40 and stop by for a good bite to eat! read more

We stumbled upon this place after getting gas off the freeway and looking for a field to run our dog a bit. Rusty's was right next to the field so we popped over for dinner. The restaurant is so charming! Lots of Route 66 and Americana decor. The staff is so wonderful! So kind and refreshing to talk to. We sat on the patio with our pup. We had burgers, which were delicious! And our pup got a plain burger patty and she LOVED IT. Definitely worth a stop next time we come through town. Highly recommend! read more

Doesn't look like much when you walk past, but inside is where the fun is. The staff were extremely friendly and the food was amazing! We got the tooth picks for an appetizer which is basically a deep fried jalapeño or onion straw, amazing! My family and I got two pizzas and two burgers and both were the perfect meal for a long day of traveling. I highly recommend this place. read more

Passed through Shamrock on our way back east to Arkansas from Arizona. Of the entire week trip, this was probably the best meal we've had. Their burgers are huge and well-seasoned, the fries were excellent, and the service was quick despite the small restaurant being fairly full. We were at Rusty's on July 23,2022. All the reviews made us think we would have a good experience. We chose it so we could dine outside with our dog after traveling all day. They were out of burgers and wings. We had to order the pizza instead. It was not good. The beer was warm and they charged us for water. Who charges customers for water when it comes out of the tap? We stayed at the Texas Route 66 RV Park and Rusty's delivered pizza and beer (we didn't realize it was a dry county) great pizza, awesome flavor and fast! They also had burgers and wings but pizza was our family's choice for the night!! 10 out of 10 we will order from there again next time we stop in the area. read more
