Look elsewhere if you want better service. I selected them for geothermal drilling. I made the mistake to go with Allied believing they would be the best as they have experience and have a large monopoly in this area. However, with that, they are very cocky in the attitude and customer service! You are likely to get better value from another drilling contractor who is actually eager to get your business. Communication is poor as their team does not keep you informed as to the progress of the permits and when they finally pinpoint the date of drilling...they simply show up with their rigs early one morning! Their crew are decent but they've left items on the property such as their bag that catches run-off, and I've also had multiple sink hole issues, however I'm grateful for Justin & his team to have returned to resolve the issues that arose over time, else I'd have even less stars alotted. When my internal geothermal equipment contractor found that they'd need to come back for another drilling, unfortunately they didn't work the issue out nicely, but I can't fault them too much for the calculation issues of the other contractor. My main complaint with Allied is with their back office. I should be getting certain items without asking, but it's like pulling teeth. They're only quick to collect the bill. I've received a a copy of the approved permit immediately upon contacting Donna Perez. However, Brenda Seidel, their office manager, has been avoiding me at all costs, whether by email or phone call, when I am owed a completion Report. Not once has she contacted me to apologize or at least tell me the delay or why I can't get this report sent to me. I had been dependent on this report as an artifact to submit to the state for a renewable energy rebate, but her delinquency, despite numerous attempts to reach her, and the office's inability to resolve this, has impacted my ability to collect the state rebate using this requested artifact, and I have now lapsed the deadline for submitting before the FY24 funding depletion. Well was dug, waited several weeks before they hooked the water up, once that was hooked up we paid cash and a lot of it. Once they left for the next day we realized we had no water to our outside hose as we had prior. We called and texted, got the run around, and then we were ghosted by this company. Our well stopped working on Sunday. We have a homeowners warranty and they could not get a contractor to serve us until the end of the week. I called Calvert/Allied Wells and George called me back right away. He was here the very next morning. He determined our issue is electrical and suggested we get that fixed before replacing a costly pump or tank. He assured me if the electrical repair did not fix the pump, he would return the next morning and replace our pump. He even called once he left to reassure me that he would be back if we still did not have water. George was very professional and considerate of charging us for something that could be unnecessary. Purchased our newly built home a year ago or so ago. Called this company emergency 24 hour telephone number at 1 am in the morning due to no water. Contacted the company at 7:52 am, the representative stated the previous representative failed to pass on the information to the technician and she had just passed on the request. Currently, it is 6 hours later and we are still waiting for the technician to contact us. We understand the technician may be busy but no phone call. My wife and I called six times requesting a status and a name of a supervisor we could speak to. The representative wouldn't provide the name of a supervisor. The customer service is horrible and ridiculous. Please do not attempt to utilize this company. If you have an emergency you will be ignored and you will not receive any service. read more

I was researching well companies to have a diagnostic check done for my well via Google and came across this company. On their website it states that a "flat rate of $95 for a standard diagnostic check". When I called I asked the representative about what the $95 diagnostic check consisted of. She then began asking me questions about where I saw that $95 flat fee. I explained to her that I had found it right on the company website and began reading to her exactly what it said. She responded with ma'am I am not trying to say you are incorrect, I just don't know of any flat $95 rate and will need to check with my Project Manager. She puts me on hold and comes back 5 minutes later to say that the website has not been updated and the fee is now $189. I explained to her that, that was not my problem and that when you are in a store that has incorrect price on the product signs, it is professional to honor that because the customer has nothing to do with your mistake. They were hired to drill at well at our residential property. They promised the work would take 3-4 days. On numerous occasions they failed to show up as promised, didn't return calls or emails, and were non-responsive. The well ended up taking well over 4 weeks to finish, during which time we had no water at the property. Further, they left the water bladder on the grass for 3+ weeks, which killed our lawn. To make matters worse, their crews spun the wheels of their equipment so hard, they created 18"+ deep ruts on our yard and sprayed mud all the way onto the roof of our 2-story home. While we expected some limited damage due to the truck on your yard, most of the damage would have been avoided if they had finished the job in the 3-4 days promised and had respected our property. We feel some of the damage was malicious because we complained. They refused the take any responsibility for the damage to our yard or the delays in the project or even offer an apology. read more

Recently purchased a home with a geothermal loop that'd been installed by Allied. Previous homeowner had numerous problems with them (Allied had to bury the geothermal loop twice before due to improper installation). Upon moving in we noticed the HVAC couldn't cool the house-we had multiple HVAC technicians come out to test, all of whom said the geothermal loop hadn't been buried deep enough. I contacted Allied, who sent over a drawing on scratch paper showing roughly where the loop was buried, and we noticed that a good portion of it was buried in my neighbor's yard according to their record. Since notifying Allied of this issue, their manager (Andy) has dodged phone calls from both myself and the HVAC company for weeks. I am unable to get them to send over any further information, let alone come out and address the issue. Stay far away from this company, they are unprofessional and do not stand by their work. read more

We got a well water treatment system installed at our home by George from Allied. He was very professional and attentive to our needs from the beginning. The setup looks great, very clean and like it was meant to be there. Better yet, we can now drink water without worrying about the rotten-egg smell, metallic taste, or color of the water. Additionally, we no longer have to worry about bacteria in the water since George installed a UV light system that kills the bacteria. We will definitely call them again to maintain our system and will recommend them to anyone with water-related issues. Thank you George and Allied. read more

Our neighbor warned us about working with Allied, he works for the city and knows that Allied has had issues in the past with having to replace wells. We decided to move ahead anyways, and no issue to date on the well, although only been 4 days. Our issue has been on communications and customer service. After 6 weeks of permitting, we reached out to see where we were. Got an email that the crew would be out the next day to start. Had no idea so responded with a request to know more about the process and what to expect as that had not been shared. Was told that a crew would be out the next day to drill the well and then a few days later another crew would be out to hook up the well and we'd be without water for 6 hours. Crew came out to drill, removed our fence and despite verbal confirmation that removal and return of the fence was included, they broke our fence and are not reinstalling. The crew to hook up came the next day- found out they were coming that day at 6:30am! I'm pregnant so some notice to be without water would have been appreciated. Was told that we needed to run the water to run off the chlorine and was told that they have never seen that process take more than 3 hours. We're now on day 4 of hook up and are still running off water and don't have usable water in the house. Brought our normal well and water company out and they were shocked by the communication we got from Allied- and how wrong some of the information was. Googled some other companies following this process and found quite a few FAQs on what to expect and how to prepare. Got none of this from Allied. Also, with less than 24 hour notice they expected payment. Require full payment before hook up- only contractor I've heard of that require 100% payment before services. They said it's because they compare themselves to an Amazon where you order things and pay ahead of time..... don't even see themselves as a contractor. Could be because they know their service is so poor. Called to discuss the issues- fencing, yard, overall communications, etc. and all I got was excuses. Was told I should be grateful that they squeezed us in. Spend a little extra and use a more professional company. read more

I had these guys come out and drill 4 wells for a new geothermal system, they came out and got the wells done and hooked up to my system. Overall I am pleased. My only criticism is they didn't do the finishing work on the ground above the wells things were a little lumpy where the grass was,but it was in December and weather wasn't that great. read more

The guy came out said or well was dry. They started drilling and drilled 600 feet(300 more than authorized). Told them to leave. Another company came in and replaced a 75 dollar relay and got the old well running. Come to find out he never looked at the old well. read more

Awful! Stay away. Took my deposit on a residential well, took them 8 months to start the project, during that time they were impossible to reach for updates. Showed up on 2/4/19 drilled for 4 days did not hit water, packed and left at the end of the fourth day (2/7/19)..no water, no well, no refund, no call, no explanation..except a totally demolished yard, they left the bladder bag full of water sitting, they left the huge hole they dug and filled with sediment and run off water surrounded by yellow caution tape in the yard. read more

While drilling.ng the geothermal well for our house they messed up our water well because they drilled too close (which they were question about by 2 of our builder'screw). They'll give you a low bid to get a contract and then will nickel and dime you. Lots of problems with Allied Well. Things probably would have been ok if our drill had been text book, but as soon as we ran into problems, we got very little help or response from out project manager. Over a month of "yes, I'm looking into it" until we escalated things with our prime contractor and management at allied. Their delays nearly cost us the project because of a struct completion deadline. Even once things moved forward, the problems didn't stop. Poor communication, lack of response, as well as saying one thing to our face and something else to the county. Even after the job was completed, we continued to have problems with paperwork when they claimed they didn't "yet" have the document completed that we asked for, but the county was able to provide it to us right away since allied had submitted it 6 weeks previously. Even though the all components of the work was eventually completed, I would definitely *not* recommend their services to anyone. Not worth the trouble. read more

If we could award Allied less than one star, we would. I don't know how Adam Santry sleeps at night, but he should definitely not be your choice to drill a private water well. Our thirtysome year old water well dried up in late September. We had no water in the house. Because we use baseboard hot water for heating, we have no heat either. We have been visiting laundromats and nearby families for laundry and showers, eating on paper plates and running space heaters since Sept. 25th. Today is October 29th. We have gotten several invoices and calls from Donna at Allied letting us know very clearly how much MONEY the company wants (We paid one half the total cost, the day that we signed the contract. I would urge that anyone considering hiring Allied, USE A CREDIT CARD rather than pay cash). One office staffer remarked, when we said we had no water, "I can't even imagine ..." and that has been exactly the sense we have of Allied. They spoke about an "emergency well," but at two months and counting, this has hardly been treated by them as any sort of urgency whatever. Many of the crew members are good, hardworking guys.
