I had a closing on the sale of our home on May 1. I told him the could come any day the 3 days before that. May1 was a Friday. They chose not to come Tuesday. I called and called, because I expected them to at least advise me. Josh told me he hadn't found a mover yet. On Wednesday I went through the same scenario. Me calling them. Actually, I called the previous week to see what my moving day was. I now know this is a last minute scheduling thing. Horrible. Leaves you hanging. I talked to their supervisor and Ashley said I had agreed to be flexible. I said I was flexible with the dates, but I was not flexible with not knowing. Thursday came. I had 1 day to move before closing at 9 the next day. I called and called. Josh finally said he had scheduled someone. At 10:32 he gave me the name of Hands On Moving. I called them. Same runaround. He said between 10 and 2. I called for confirmation. Hands On Moving said he was still trying to get in contact "with his guys". My husband and I didn't know if we should schedule another mover or not, as maybe they will still show up. I checked my bank account and they had pulled the money from my account. Now if we schedule another mover we pay twice. Hanging. Hanging. Finally at 3:30 p.m. Ashley called to say there was a problem with Hands On Moving and they couldn't move us today, but told me they would refund my money and to have a nice day. We now have 8 hours to find a mover and move. Don't put yourself through this.

First of all, they were at my house 15 minutes prior to our scheduled time and texted me, to let me know, that they're outside and to take my time, if I wasn't ready yet. As everyone is aware, moving is never easy and one's never ready and is always late lol. But iMove and the crew made it so easy and took over of packing of TV, piano and little things like vases and plates. My wife was so worried about the piano, that it would get scratched and so on, but since these guys are professionals, the piano was delivered in one piece and not even one scratch!!! I had some large items (television, mattress, coffee table, piano, etc.) that were all handled with care and there was no damage. I was moving in Arlington from one apartment building to another, and the move was completed in 3 hours. They supply blankets, plenty of tape, and have all the tools necessary to make the move seem simple. They have plenty experience doing moves, and you could tell. If you pay with cash they give you a 5% discount. And if someone referred Nova Express Movers to you, they give you an additional 5%. This has not only been emotionally damaging, I have still not been able to replace/repair valuable furniture that was destroyed in this move. The owner was engaged on multiple occasions and chose to ignore the situation. The harassment I received during my move was Disgusting! A2B had the foresight to hire an additional 3 people locally in Wake Forest to assist them in offloading my belongings quickly (about 4 hours) before predicted thunder and rainfall began. I had a great experience in the first half of my process with CityStash when my things were collected for storage. They weren't the most professional team, they bumbled around and were rushing, apologizing for knocking things into walls but never stopped rushing. That said, they were good, kind people and I was happy to look past a little damage-free klutziness. When it came time to have my things delivered, the situation went south quickly. At the very end, I think possibly even after my delivery window, I got a call saying they were running late and hadn't even picked up my things from the warehouse to be delivered. I had been calling the main line for updates but didn't get a call back for hours, long after they would have known they wouldn't make it within the delivery window. Again, while it was annoying and could have been handled better, these things happen and I was willing to look past it. The delivery was finally made about 7pm and the movers again arrived flustered and rushed through the process, again banging into things and dinging walls. I assured them it was no big deal and not to worry, I understood sometimes life goes wrong. Once they had finished putting everything in the house, they let me know they had misplaced the specific hardware to reassemble a major piece of bedroom furniture - dresser with attachable mirror. I was told they would collect new screws from Home Depot and see me "first thing in the morning," calling me about an hour before they arrived. The next day I waited until 11 before I began calling, again waiting hours for a callback. This is when I began to get frustrated. When the owner finally called me back around 4pm, he said to me: "I don't know who told you that or why, but that was never going to happen." After exercising a healthy dose of patience and understanding through this, I had now taken not one but two unnecessary days off of work and a snarky remark from he business owner was the last thing I wanted to hear. Two full days later, the job was complete beginning on Tuesday and ending on Friday. The owner will likely be surprised by this review, though I'm not sure why. I clearly communicated my frustrations and he took little to no responsibility for the issues, blaming everything largely on the team he had sent in. When he wasn't blaming his team, he was all but shrugging his shoulders at me. While they certainly were part of the problem, my real grievance rests with him, who handled the situation with the grace and professionalism of a kindergartner in a boardroom. I was refunded $35 for the over half of a week of inconvenience, which perhaps was more insulting than no acknowledgement at all.
