However, we recently discovered another leak--this time above our stove range, close to the same area as the original problem. I contacted Jake, and he said he'd come by the next day to assess it. We went into our attic to investigate and were shocked to find it full of mold. This was not the case when the roof was first installed, so it's clear the original leak was never fully resolved. When Jake arrived, we showed him the leak and the mold in the attic. He said a technician would come out in a couple of days. That was the last we heard from him. I followed up with calls and texts, but now I go straight to voicemail and receive no replies. They've completely ghosted us. Do not use these contractors.

David and team did an outstanding job: 1. Tearing off multiple layers of old, crumbling roof 2. Installing new insulation and granulated roofing 3. Spot repairing brickwork around the chimneys and edges 4. Spot tuckpointing the front limestone of the building 5. Cleaning the property afterwards The job was done in a total of 4 days, 2 for the tear off and re-roofing and 2 for the masonry/tuckpointing work. I was very impressed by how quickly they were able to get this done given the severity of the issues and the difficulty of the project. The team was very transparent with me if any issues were identified that would cost more than our original quote and all costs were given with pros/cons for me to drive decisions before any work was started on them. I was expecting issues given the difficulty of the project and they were able to solve all the issues for only ~10% more than my original quote, which was less than I was expecting. The extra 10% was my choice and I did not feel pressured or blindsided in any way, it was well worth it for the wellbeing of the building. All this to say, I would absolutely recommend APR Roofing for your roofing and masonry needs - they were efficient, cost effective, transparent and honest. As they had to come in and out of my house several times to access the roof they were always very courteous. Wheaton roofing finally came out to take a look 4 months after the fact only to pick up loose nails on the roof and to say they don't see a problem with their work. Apparently everyone uses 4" flashing? Asked me to list my to-do list of what I THOUGHT WAS THE PROBLEM! C'mon. This WAS Wheaton Roofing and not someone using their name. Confirmed the invoice/proposal was in fact someone who worked at the company when the job was done. I can't put my parents through the legal issues of fighting a company denying the issues. They deserve better. Going to find someone else that does general contract work AND roofing. Damage needs repair.

It was true that reaching out to the owner and getting back from him was hard at the beginning, because he was in Florida according to another review I found, which was also confirmed with their guy Andy later. I found their email on their website, and Andy replied me after 2 days and said they would come out to inspect next week. They did come and told me they would send out their guys to fix it in the next few days. Amazingly they came back the next day and fixed everything before noon! Because our roof is still under warranty, so they didn't charge us anything. We are very happy they honored the warranty and fixed the roof so fast!
