I could tell that the butter was house made and asked for extra because it was that good. Had the beef duo as the main course. I found it to be satisfying and also much better value than the steak frites. All of the items I received were very detail oriented and as well as fresh. We were seated on one side on the restaurant that I believe was blocked off for more special occasions. The other side of the restaurant seemed to have tables placed more closely to one another. Our server consistently checked on us throughout the night to make sure we were okay. Overall I was very satisfied with the service that I received here as well as with the food.

Cool atmosphere, great energy, and good food! I also got super lucky with Hailey as my waitress. She sold me on just about every item on the menu... to the point where I completely handed over the decision-making to her. Yup, that's right, I told her what I liked and trusted her to pick my three dishes. And listen, when your name is on the menu for crafting a cocktail, I'm going to trust you to pick my meal too! Now for the food: the grilled octopus was amazing. Great flavor, perfect texture, and a really nice balance with the lentils. The shishito peppers were delicious, and the sauce that came with them added the perfect pop of flavor. The beet salad, however, was a little underwhelming. Unfortunately, it didn't have much flavor, so that one left me a bit disappointed. And then there was dessert. Oh man! Hailey did it again. She brought out the sweet corn cheesecake. Sounds weird, I know, but I had to try it. And yes, it definitely had sweet corn! It was a little too weird for my taste buds, but I'm glad I tried it.... Then came the Madeleines. Bite-sized, warm, and absolutely delicious. Fair warning: if you don't tell them to take the bowl away, you WILL eat the entire thing. Man oh man...so good!!! Overall, a really fun experience with a great atmosphere, good food, and a waitress who genuinely made the experience memorable. Kudos to Hailey for the great service and for knowing exactly what to recommend! She definitely made my night.

We also had the zucchini fritters that we enjoyed. The chicken parm was highly recommended by the waitress and did not disappoint. It was huge and definitely enough to share or have leftovers. My friends enjoyed their pasta and shrimp scampi as well.

There is outdoor and indoor dining but since it was blazing hot out I opted to stay inside in the cool AC. Came for brunch on a Sunday so had to try their sangria. It was really refreshing and perfect for a warm day. For entrees, we ordered the short rib hash, chicken and waffles, and the steak and eggs. I had a little of each, but my favorite was the short rib hash. Great flavor and the sauce was fantastic. The steak had a perfect cook on it, and the fried chicken was crispy and flavorful as well. The server was friendly and extremely attentive. He recommended a good dessert which we ended up splitting. When in doubt go with the chocolate brownie Esther vanilla ice cream !

We didn't have a reservation, but they were still able to seat us in the dining room as long as we could wrap up before 1:30, which we appreciated. I wasn't super hungry so we shared the crispy cauliflower and lamb ribs from the appetizer menu. The crispy cauliflower was excellent -- hot, actually crispy, and not drowning in sauce which I really appreciated. The lamb ribs came over labneh (a yogurt base) and the first plate arrived with the lamb cold. I asked our waitress if that was intentional and she said only the labneh should be cold. They immediately replaced it with a fresh order and handled it really well, which I appreciated. Great service recovery and overall a really enjoyable brunch spot with a lively atmosphere.

The seared tuna was served with soy sauce and chop sticks, but it was so well seasoned on its own, that I didnt use soy sauce at all. It was delightful, and what I appreciated was how they serve water...something so bangle as a glass of water is served with ice and a wedge of lemon or lime (your choice). It is a detail that you encounter only in Michelin starred restaurants. It is worth the price. Kearny is a hidden gem, and Qtal is a welcomed addition. It felt zen.

Always very interesting and cool wines on the list! The staff? Probably the friendliest people you ever did meet. If you end up there even twice in the same month, they'll likely recognise you and give you a hearty, friendly hello. I've come here multiple times, and generally tend to buy at least one bottle. I've especially loved coming when there's folks who are willing to foot the bill for the night out, so that I can enjoy the really good stuff they have on offer. In those cases, we order multiple bottles, and keep the cocktails coming. They automatically add 20% gratuity to your bill, so there's no chance you're going to fumble the tip at the end of the night. Assume that any price on the menu is 30% higher, on account of sales tax being over 6%, and automatic gratuity being 20% added to your bill. Early on when this place opened, the vibe was chill, and you could bring people and have a conversation and a really nice time tasting the various wines on offer. Lovely. Get a cocktail, and the bartenders will take care of it, and make it perfectly. So why the 1 star? As time went on, they decided to hire a DJ to come in and spin music. Cool no worries. Then the DJs decided it's REALLY IMPORTANT FOR YOU TO HEAR THE MUSIC YOU GUYS. SO LET'S BLAST IT AT EAR BLEEDING LEVELS. AND NO, THE STAFF WILL NOT REQUEST TO TURN IT DOWN. NOPE. WE GOTTA BLAST IT LIKE WE'RE IN A NIGHT CLUB. I thought maybe I had an off night, and it was one dude who had an agenda, so I went back a couple more times. Everything is gucci until the DJ shows up. Then all of a sudden you're all "WOW THE NOTES OF PLUM AND MINERALITY IN THIS WINE IS DELIGHTFUL!" "WHAT?" "I SAID THE NOTES OF PLUM AND MINERALITY IS DELIGHTFUL." "WHAT?" "WHAT?" If you're going to charge me in the neighbourhood of like $18 for a glass of wine or a cocktail, don't blast music like it's a freaking strip club and drown out any ability to have a conversation with the people I brought here thinking it's going to be a classy experience. If I wanted to go some place to shake my backside and dance to loud obnoxious music, I'd go to the other million and a half annoying loud places that exist already. Why they had to take such a delightful space, which had such a calm and peaceful vibe, and turn it into a trashy night club is beyond me, but I have zero desire to ever set foot in here again. The vibe sucks, and I'm not willing to spend that kind of money to be unable to hear the people I came with. I don't care about the DJ's agenda. The music should be a nice backdrop to the space, so that it enhances the mood, not stomps all over it like a herd of spooked cattle.

Everything was fantastic though, and I wouldn't have changed a thing. The pork croquettes and the pigs in a blanket were my absolute favorite. Both delicious and a twist on a classic the anti pasta salad is something I'll probably order every single time. It has everything you want and it's finally chopped with a ton of cheese on top. Where do you go wrong? The focaccia that comes with the meal is also worth noting. The spread it comes with is super tasty there chili olive oil is spicy with a nice kick. However, the server took a very long time to come to take orders to let us know about any specials, and we on a number of occasions had to ask for extra bread or more water. That was highly disappointing. Made the reservation based on Yelp reviews. However, in our experience, we did not have as satisfactory of an experience. members of our party ordered filet mignon, ribeye and short rib, and CB chicken scarpariello, and rigatoni bolognaise. We ordered a number of oysters on the half shell, the buffalo mozzarella, some fried calamari, and Tuna tartare to start and baked clams. Ordered an old fashioned but was too sweet. Pappardelle with large, meaty scallops was the standout. The Steaks were cooked to medium rare and rare as requested. Daughter enjoyed the ravioli. What wasn't as enjoyable and overdone was the rigatoni. The orrechiette with broccoli rabe and sausage was fine but needed healthy sprinkle of cheese for flavor. We brought our own birthday cake from Gencarellis in nearby Bloomfield which was appreciated and ordered some cappuccino and espresso. They already included a 20% gratuity in the bill which was fine for a large party but based on the actual service felt like overtipping.
