#1: Pre Pandemic: I went here to buy a specific tea--my favorite kind--that has a very distinctive smell and flavor. I was told "you don't want that one," so I didn't buy anything and walked out. I know what I want. #2 Pre Pandemic: My ex went there to try to get the tea for me. They told him that if it was a gift "it's probably too strong, I'll give you the lighter version." It didn't really smell or taste like much except maybe *old.* I was frustrated to hear the story from him. #3 Post Pandemic: A friend happened to stop there on the drive to see me in the Bay Area and asked for a pretty big bag of the SAME KIND OF TEA. The tea in the bag was not what was asked for/labeled and I really don't like it. [Update: They replied that they "never discourage customers," but that's exactly what they did to me and my ex when he tried to buy the tea for me: "I told them exactly what I wanted and they convinced me to buy a weaker version."] read more

I don't normally write reviews without experiencing the services provided however I did not receive any service or acknowledgement from the two staff at the cafe. My wife and I drove out to Camarillo looking to have a nice tea experience to commentate our anniversary.... Itwas quite rude and disappointing of the two staff members (whom were busy, yet could have acknowledged our presence)....We waited for five minutes by the cash register/counter and were ignored, so we decided to leave. I wonder if they thought we weren't their preferred clientele, so be wary of that too. You can't judge a book by its cover, and this book has review. I'll be spending my money at another establishment. *update: after receiving a reply just now (a couple of weeks later) I see confirmation that these owners are totally arrogant and oblivious to their actions . In the reply they are essentially arguing that they were in no way at fault. We were NOT acknowledged hence why we left. If we were we would have stayed. Definitely not a professional reply.... looking at footage and disputing what I said.... I have no reason to lie.... If you look at my reviews, there are more complimentary than critical. That's why i'm happy to be yelp elite.... I present facts and am aware reviews affect business and livelihoods. I was treated to the Annual Christmas Tea and must say, it was one of the most disappointing tea experiences I have ever had. The tables were attractively set with Christmas teacups, saucers, and plates and the interior of the tearoom was charming with all the tea pots and teacups decorating the shelves. Along with a Cranberry Sparkle Spritzer (no alcohol), we had a small charcuterie skewer. Two choices of tea were offered and I chose the Holiday Citrus tea. I am a tea lover and the tea had very little flavor...I suspect it was not steeped long enough...and was not very hot. My hostess chose the Winter's Cup and I suspect that was not steeped long enough either because it was a very pale yellow color. I do not think that they had enough staff to handle the cliental as we had to ask for our teacups to be refilled and the staff seemed to be stressed. Each of us were served two tea sized roast beef sandwiches, no other sandwich options were available. The sandwiches were on white bread with a small piece of meat. I could not taste the mushroom duxelles or chive horseradish spread.... did they forget to include it on the sandwich? An orange cranberry scone was also served and I have to say that the Trader Joe orange cranberry scones are much tastier. The menu stated that the desserts were a Chocolate Hazelnut Buche de Noel AND an Eggnog Creme Puff. However, there were 2 adults and only 2 desserts were served. We had to cut the desserts in half to be able to taste both. All this for $60.00 per person. I was looking forward to this experience but it was a huge let down. I attended the "Mum's Day Tea" today and was sorely disappointed. I had been looking forward to this event with my daughters all week. It was my first visit. We arrived early and were seated outside, away from the remainder of the tea guests. We asked if we could sit inside (I'm a redhead) and were denied. The bistro set was uncomfortable, the parking lot was noisy, and we were in the sun. There were cucumber pieces in the planter adjacent. The portions were stingy, only two bitter teas were served, and no cream or sugar were on the tables. When we asked for more of 2 separate different items (the spritzer and sandwiches), we were again denied. We felt forgotten about outside and, when ask why we hadn't eaten the curry dish, the owner defensively stated that "everyone" enjoyed it, as if we didn't matter. When the bill came, a total of $165 (massively overpriced for the amount of food and poor service), I did not put the tip on the first slip. When they brought my card back, they had charged $172, so a $7 credit card fee!!! We slipped out, but I had forgotten my glasses. We were told I had to come back immediately or I would have to wait 3 days to get my glasses back. I returned to get them and the owner was very rude when she realized that we were unhappy with the service. She told me that I was not welcomed back because I had adverse comments about the price and service. She again reiterated that "everyone" was happy but me. Overall, I do not recommend this establishment for special occasions. It is underwhelming. Even if it were half the price, it would be too expensive. I have been to different tea events all over and I have never encountered such stinginess and overpriced food and services. Plan your special events elsewhere. This owner is defensive and not receptive to critiques. read more

Each of their tea trivets is hand made from their broken tea cups. My daughter in law and I each had the Windsor tea, we ordered different sandwiches and desserts this way we split and shared. The small individual quiche were a delight as were the ham sandwiches. Also their large array of desserts offered made it hard to choose when ordering. The way this place is run is very interesting. All reservations are at the same exact time and are given a 90 minute table limit (which would seem like plenty of time). I came in with my mother, grandmother, and sister and were sat at the same time as 4 other parties. It took 20 minutes to have our order taken. It took another 25 minutes to have our tea and food served to us. It would have been nice to have a house/seasonal tea served to us when we were seated to give the server time to get around to all the tables. We tried to order one more pot of tea, but were given to-go cups instead, because all the reservations must be done in an hour and a half to set up for the next groups even though we were sitting for 45 minutes with no food or drinks. The server and owner were kind to us but the whole staff seemed extremely overwhelmed. The place is very cute and the food and tea were delicious. I highly recommend the tuna curry sandwich and the jaded passion tea! I would recommend not going during the holiday season or a busy time if you want a more relaxing, enjoyable time. read more

December 2nd 2023. Just left the shop confounded. I'm asking the service lady for a number of different teas for Christmas gifts nearly $70 worth. I laid out a hundred-dollar bill ready and she sharply says they don't accept hundred-dollar bills. You literally can't go anywhere these days and spend at least a hundred dollars. I just left, no need to argue. I wasn't going to pay on a credit card when I had the cash in hand. Went and deposited the cash and then online and ordered everything from tealiteful.com whatever, they lost me as a customer I've been there at Christmas time the past 3-4 years. read more

I was really in a mood for tea and decided to try a new place! At first it looks very pleasant and quite, there were lots of cute looking desserts or teas to select from and just when I noticed there was a Japanese macha tea, I had to try it, especially since I've been drinking it for years! I informed the two ladies working there I would like this drink but they gave me a questionable look. One of them asked if I wanted it and I was confident and said sure! I took a seat and waited for my tea to arrive. Another lady came up to me and asked again, "Are you sure you want Macha tea? It's very bitter and I've been trained by a professional Japanese macha maker." 。。。。そうですか (Is that so...)。。。。。 I told her again, yes, why would I not order it? She then assured me and then left. Eventually I got my tea, and I drank. the. whole. Thing. I gave my money (even added tip) and /left./ Why would a waiter QUESTION what the customer ordered? These two clearly assumed I have never tried a macha tea before which is very offensive in my eyes. As a person clearly devoted to the Japanese culture (despite being from a different nationality), this was the first and last time, I would visit due to their poor service. This is a cute local tea shop that offers hot/iced tea drinks and decadent desserts. I would consider this an occasional alternative if I don't feel like going to Coffee Bean or Starbucks. We tried the: MATCHA SMOOTHIE $4.25 = not as sweet as I expected, in fact, I'm not sure it was sweetened at all. The lack of sugar was actually fine since the green tea flavor really shined through, plus it was quite refreshing on such a hot day. Paired well with the sugary desserts below. Not blended as thoroughly as I would have preferred, lots of crunchy ice bits as I was drinking it. LAVENDER LEMON BAR $3.00 = tasted like an ordinary lemon bar, could not distinguish any hints of lavendar. It was fine. FLOUR-LESS CHOCOLATE CAKE $3.50 = don't be fooled by the petite 2-inch diameter of this tiny cake. It was super rich and velvety. I had one bite and suddenly satisfied my chocolate fix for the day. Service was friendly. We were greeted immediately upon entering. This is a small location, so the large group that arrived soon after we did made the area feel a bit crowded. They had reservations for high tea, which I've made a mental note to do here in the future with some girlfriends. Location is near the corner of Lantana and Daily, in the same shopping center as Jersey Mike's and Peking Inn. Look for it hidden in the right-hand corner by EV Games and Bobbi's. read more

So we came here for tea today. The server girl seemed to be very busy with many tables but I felt like my tea cup was filled in an appropriate amount of time. We had a larger party, there were about 11 of us. When they brought the three tiered serving trays we were told that there were four sandwiches for each of us, one scone for each of us and one dessert. My mom and I both only got three and our friend did not get a scone initially however one was brought out for her. I was not terribly crazy about any of the desserts and by the time I got them I did not have much of a choice. We traveled an hour to get here and I'm not necessarily sure I would do that again. When our time came to an end they seemed to rush us out of there, I did not feel like they addressed us in the kindest way to ask us to leave. It was pretty abrupt. They are more than happy to take our money though. I left the appropriate amount of money for a tip because our server was very nice but I can't say I was super happy about not getting all of what I was told that I would get. That's just my feelings. So you like tea? Well let me tell you. I enjoy me a good cup of tea at least once a day. If you're a real tea snob, you know that you have to use loose leaf tea to brew the perfect cup. You also know that you need good quality water at just the right temperature. But where do you get the tea and where do you get the right equiptment to handle loose leaf tea? I've bought stuff online and even been to "Teahala" (mispelled purposefully) in the mall but nothing beats this place yet. Recently opened, this is a very personable little tea shop with huge tins of tea on the shelves, a beautiful granite countertop and everything that has to do with tea. Donna, the owner, takes pride in her work and will find just the right cup of tea for you. My wife told them what types of flavours I liked and Donna found just the right ones for me. I went back myself to buy some tea for my mom and enjoyed smelling several teas and trying some of their samples. They are extrememly nice here and I look forward to restocking my tea tins soon. Do you like tea? If yes, then you will like this place! It is tea heaven!! If you can imagine a tea, it is probably here. Five stars for the selection alone. It is a casual walk-in tea room, so you don't have to worry about the pomp and circumstance (though they also take reservations for high tea and such). The owner, Donna, helped me explain to my husband exactly what it meant to take high tea. She probably knows everything. I had chosen a darjeeling tea, and she told me that it was the "champagne of teas." So fancy! My husband tried some of the pu-erh...which they have! From black to green, white to red, mate to pu-erh, there is something for everyone! As for the food...it was just alright. We split the spring roll, the veggie wrap, and a bacon quiche, all of which were average. Their flourless chocolate cake, however, was FANTASTIC. In the future I would come here solely for the tea. TEAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Note: Sadly, they are closed Sundays and Mondays, and sometimes are rented out to private parties. I am delighted to drink the delicious tea! When I go for tea, I want a selection of many teas. All Things Tea has a huge selection. I am not a tea expert, but a student of tea. I need someone who can guide me through my journey and represent the various teas with authority. All Things Tea delivers. I also ordered a turkey bacon quiche. It was made the way I like it, by humans. Have you ever had a quiche that was store bought that you nuke? This quiche was clearly home made. I detected a nice flavor to the crust, the flavors of the egg and turkey bacon were on point. The shopping center here also had close parking, and the All Things Tea shop was prominently signed and easy to find. The interior was nicely decorated. It has a feel that only a caring owner can provide. I will be back to buy some tea and tea related items.
