My friend and I have been to 9 tea houses in the last year and All things Tea had the best scones of all experiences we have had. The tea was good and the owner made sure we had refills and that it stayed hot. Really my only complaint was the dessert selection. We were given 1 small chocolate 2 bite cake and 1 shot class that was a strawberry shortcake. The owner told us we just had to decide which one we wanted. The only place I buy my loose leaf tea from! It's such good quality and you can't beat the price. I was so sad to hear that they had to close their store but luckily they still sell the loose leaf tea through their website which is listed on their yelp page. A few of my favorites are the amazing apricot, Pomegranate Green, oolong, Mango Tango, Charming Chai, and the Peachy Keene. I usually don't like fruity teas because they taste super fake and artificial but all of the fruit teas from this place have real fruit and they taste incredible. I couldn't recommend this place more! I've grown up drinking tea and this place by far has the best tea I have ever had. I was really excited to come here, but I was sadly disappointed. The service is really nice. The wait staff very friendly however, the portions they give you are ludicrous so tiny. The tea starts with a small thin slice of Persian cucumber with some type of whip, savory cream on top of it topped with a tiny slice of a small tomato. Mine had the calyx on it as in the top of the tomato I couldn't believe it since we were paying $50 per person you don't think they could've discarded the top of the tomato and given me a piece from the middle? The sandwiches were also small there were 2/4 sandwiches, cucumber and cream cheese and then two rounds of bread with egg salad. It's not that they're not tasty but these did not make a whole sandwich. I'd say 3/4 of a sandwich then we got a scone each they were so dry and crumbly. The crumbs went everywhere and they gave us a very small container of lemon curd and a very small container of cream for two people and then we got two petit fours which we sliced in half so we could both try one. The tea was fine. Nothing extraordinary. I am disappointed. I paid $120 including tip. not worth it. read more

I was able to choose from a delicious assortment of flavors, and the process was so easy from the start. The server was so so. I had no idea this place existed! The holidays are a difficult time because of missing loved ones. We wanted to drink tea in memory of a neighbor that was like a mom that passed away this year. My daughter and I had such a beautiful experience from the taste of the teas were nothing like store bought or processed. It tasted so amazing! We had the flourless chocolate cake and the lemon bar. You could taste the freshness and great ingredients. The presentation from the tea to the hats and the ambiance was nice to experience. The people there are so kind and friendly with putting the H in hospitality. It's rare to find a tea place in our area or people from England like my mother and neighbor. What a beautiful experience. I've only been to two high tea houses in Ventura County. This is the one that I went to most recently which was also during Christmastime. Reservations are required mostly for their special packages. I got their last reservation before their Christmas break. I ordered their Queen Mum High Tea for my friend and me. So much good food. Nice to come during Christmas because I could try their eggnog and cranberry scones. Their Devonshire Cream and lemon curd were so delish. I kept wanting to add more and more cream and curd onto my scones. The scones were very good and not too dense. The Sandwhiches were just OK. They offered egg, cucumber, ham & cheese sandwiches. But the egg sandwiches were beautifully decorated. They had several dessert offerings: flourless chocolate cake, Apple pudding/pie, truffles, shortbread cookie shaped into a teapot (which i thought was cute), lemon bar and cheesecake. We ordered two of their pots of teas. Fruit cup and one of their mint teas. They have a HUGE assortment of teas. It was so hard to decide. They had gorgeous Christmas teapots. In terms of teahouses I thought it was reasonable compared to others I've been to. The owner was very pleasant as she served us. The restaurant is nicely decorated with a shelf about afternoon tea. The restaurant is very easy to find with ample parking. It is in the same shopping center as Peking Inn and Basil and Mint restaurants. I would go back and bring some other friends. read more

We had a delightful experience. We ordered the Queen Mum Tea. We received a wonderful selection of finger sandwiches, scones, and desserts. It was all wonderful but the lemon bar was my favorite. I've been coming here for years. The owner, Donna, is incredibly knowledgeable about tea. I like that they walk the line between a tea shop and tea house. You can come in jeans and have high tea. The food is fantastic as are all the tea selections and they're affordable. They're clean, friendly and presentation is always top-notch If coming to eat, I would always recommend a reservation. They tend to get busy on weekends and usually only have one or two on staff so it can get backed up at times but they are always accommodating for us. They also have a selection of tea-themed gifts whether tea sets, wind chimes, necklaces, books, all kinds of fun Knick-knacks for the tea lover you know! I also love that they will ship tea out. Today I took my mom for Windsor tea. We ordered the chicken salad sandwich (by far my favorite variation of this sandwich-made with water chestnuts and yogurt) and their tuna (also a favorite-yellow curry, capers and parsley). They do rotate the flavors of the sandwiches Th we offer as they do with certain baked goods so I recommend checking what they are offering when you arrive if you're looking for something specific. Their scones and cream are delicious and their lemon bars are some of my favorite. All offered in many of their "tea-time" options. As an extra purchase, I also love to take their quiches home for later-they're a perfect size for an afternoon snack. They try to be health conscious while also being delicious! They offer gluten free options and tea for kids as well. Parking is generally easy to find and they have both indoor and outdoor seating. So this tea house is going out of business. I purchased a " tea for two experience" for my mother as a gift certificate for Christmas. Now they are going out of business. When I called them on the phone, they were very rude and said they would definitely not refund my money. They said I could buy tea on their website and it was not their problem. She had a very bad attitude and was angry toward me, a customer. If they open another location, I will never support them in the future. Beware : do not buy anything from this company. I wanted to try a traditional tea style lunch and thought this place looked cute. I ordered my lunch to go from door dash. Upon arriving the cashier seemed a bit annoyed and asked me to wait a sec while she finished up w the customer a head of me which was fine. Once finished she grabbed my bag and handed it to me. I had never had tea sandwiches before and I got the traditional cucumber and the havarti and ham sandwhich (not pictured I ate it on my walk back to my house) both were good but I think the ham was better. What was supposed to be a lovely high tea with my daughter was sadly dampened by the most unpleasant experience we had at this establishment. Due to allergies and a restrictive diet, I had ordered in advance of our arrival but was only given a few choices of sandwiches on the phone to choose from. When we arrived, I heard our server riffling off an array of sandwich options to the table near us, many of which were not offered over the phone. When I inquired about swapping out one sandwich foran egg salad sandwich for myself, I was told they were all out of egg salad. Huh? You just offered it as an option to the person next to us? I then overheard this server talking about a Nutella sandwich with a child seated next to us, had I been told that was an option to choose on the phone, I would've ordered that for my daughter instead of an overload of cucumber sandwiches and two tiny hummus wraps. I was also told we could not swap for anything else others were being offered because our food was all ready prepared and so I had to pay extra to add on the Nutella sandwich. But to add insult to injury, from the moment we sat down, the server said that our food would be right out, again stating "it's all ready." After awhile I inquired politely about when we can expect our food, and our server said that she made a mistake, and "it was the table next to us who's food was ready not ours." She apologized and walked away. Evidently then she told the owner that we asked about our food, and the owner then came out to scold us by telling us that the food is not under heat lamps and made fresh. Not a hello, not a kind word. We were baffled. She was most unpleasant and unnecessarily rude. And now, after reading comment after comment about how rudely this owner has treated other customers, I'm left to wonder why a little pleasantry doesn't seem to be a priority. We reacted to her with a smile, and a nod, certainly not interested in getting into a back and forth with her, but we were very taken aback and confused by her behavior. At some point during our waiting for the food to arrive, my daughter accidentally dropped her napkin on the ground, and when she went inside to ask if she could please have a replacement, she was told no ! and then she was policed about how many paper napkins she was allowed to have. For a meal that wound up costing me $130 I would like to think that we would be allowed to utilize another napkin or at the very least take a few paper napkins? We left with sticky hands because we were made to feel uncomfortable about asking for another paper napkins. Obviously we will not be returning. Mediocre food, slow service, and unnecessarily unfriendly treatment sadly made this special day into a colossal waste of money. read more

We were looking for sandwiches and something a little different. We saw this place on yelp and decided to give it a try. We didn't have a reservation, but they were able to seat us anyway. This is a good old-fashioned afternoon tea. We decided to order two afternoon teas. Each came with a choice of finger sandwich, scone, and desert along with a pot of tea. There were almost too many teas to choose from, but the waitress was amazingly helpful. We each chose differently so that we could taste a variety. All items were delicious. We ate outside which was noisy with the passing freeway traffic. If we had had a reservation we might have been inside. The atmosphere inside is tea-roomy. Outside, other than noise was a garden like courtyard. There is a credit card fee, so don't let it surprise you. This is not an inexpensive experience the price tag for 2 was $65. But it was light and lovely and pleasant. I will go back on occasion. read more

I had checked the website before hand to check for hours of operation, menu etc. Also I had called the day before, no where did I see that reservations were required nor was I notified on the phone! My niece and I went and we were met with just rudeness, all we did was asked for a table for 2, then berated as if we should have known that it was reservations only! All we wanted was a nice tea day locally. It ruined our experience and will not be coming back or recommending it at all. All that was needed was, "we're sorry we only take reservations" but instead we were received with a damn horrible attitude! Ugh! Second of all this is NOT about your small business and us not being served, we are all about small businesses, which is why we decided to try this place! Lastly, we totally understand being "full" and not being able to provide a table, it happens! We just make a reservation for the following opening. Easy fix! This is about the awful attitude we received! Just for asking a simple question; one of your worker intervene which is how we received any information! And if i recall correctly, you stated, "we ONLY take reservations" which is not the same as recommend reservations. So which is it? The owners reply- was exactly a copy and paste of the email she sent my sister. Which does not explain ANYTHING about why package prices are higher than a la carte, and she never once offered for us to take tea home or make smaller pots. We had the largest table there- plenty of room for more tea, and have ALWAYS had individual tea in the past. The credit card surcharge explanation is ridiculous- it's a cost of doing business and you are choosing to make your customer pay more- and it's shady not to say something until after it's swiped. Took my girlfriend and her daughter to celebrate both their birthdays. It was are first time there. The place is very quaint and cute. Staff was friendly. They even let me bring our own food for the child due to severe food allergies. That made it so much easier for us to enjoy. The recommended teas were scrumptious.
