I went with a friend for their Tea for Two special as a treat for my birthday. When I mentioned to the waitress that I was gluten free, and if it was possible to sub in the regular scones and sandwiches with their gluten free options, the waitress was more than helpful in accommodating my needs. In fact, they had gluten free bread and could make any of their sandwiches on the gluten free bread! Another woman, who I believe was the owner came out and was apologetic that the gluten free bread was smaller than the regular bread and offered the chicken spring roll as an addition to our tea for two. We declined as we were so happy they could accommodate my gluten free needs. The whole tea for two was wonderful and the owner was so sweet as to give us a gluten free scone on the house! read more

This is a great place to buy high quality loose leaf tea. They also serve an amazing high tea or if you just want a sandwich or scone you can get that too. The food is delicious made fresh daily and I love to come in for a pot of tea and a chance to visit with friends. My favorite is Earl Gray tea and a scone (don't forget the lemon curd). It is warm and inviting. It is interesting to look at the books and tea making accessories. I find gifts for my friends to enjoy drinking tea, as I do. The customer service is top notch! All Things Tea is wonderful! Donna, the owner's collection of tea is outstanding! She is knowledgeable, and very experienced. The chef, Erin, makes delicious desserts and tea sandwiches. I especially like her chocolate decadence cake and her dark chocolate coated strawberry. My husband is a lover of their Oatmeal cookies. You will not taste anything like it. The recipe is a special one that only the owner knows. Before my husband went to All Things tea he was strictly a coffee drinker. The atmosphere in the restaurant is charming. I wished they had negative stars because then I would give that lady who worked there a -10. We went into that place a year ago and thought the lady was rather unfriendly. So my teenage daughter gave it another try and went in there today to buy some tea for Christmas. Since her budget is very limited she asked the lady if she could have 1 oz of the one flavor in one bag and the other ounce in another bag (2 oz were $7). The lady in one breath told her that she can't give 2 oz in two separate because she has to pay for packaging and Good Bye! Wow!!! Lady, you should not run a business. My daughter would have gladly put the tea in a napkin. Since I have a feeling that you would fill our family's life with even more of your negative energy I decided not to go in there and confront you but I will use the power of social media so that people will hear about you! I just spent a wonderful afternoon with my sister in law in a most surprising tea room ,having tea for two. We were greeted by the owner and she was very knowledgeable about "all things tea". The savories and sweets were delicious and the selections of tea were so large that we could not decide. No problem, the owner made some excellent suggestions and we couldn't be happier. The tea sandwiches were loaded with scrumptious fillings. The sweets, of which there many to choose from, were delightful. We had lemon bars and brioche bread pudding. And the scones were yummy especially with creme and lemon curd. The atmosphere was very relaxing and we were not rushed. All in all, we had a great time. My wife and I's first time trying this place and it was a delightful experience. We had the tea for two and we loved everything about it. The China Jasmine tea was delicious, we also had the ham & havarti and lemon scallion chicken sandwiches which were both excellent. I personally was not a huge fan of the jam but that didn't alter my experience whatsoever, my wife on the other hand loved everything. I've visited many tea rooms throughout America and England. Comparatively, this shop is expensive for what you get. Also, as others have stated, the lack of variety with the finger sandwiches is surprising as that's standard fare at other tea shops. Another pet peeve: the use of "high tea" to describe afternoon tea. As a tea shop named "All Things Tea" they should know better. For those who don't know but are interested, "afternoon tea" or "low tea" is the fancy tea with finger sandwiches and scones you'll find at most shops. "High tea" always involves a hot item and is more like a full meal. Although Americans tend to like saying "high tea" better for some reason, high tea was actually the term to describe the working class dinner. This is a wonderful place to have a party! A group of us celebrated a birthday here and it was so much fun. The owner, Donna, goes out of her way to set the table or serve the food in just the way you want it. She's flexible and creative with ideas of how to make the occasion more special. The desserts that are offered in the display case are fantastic. Her flourless chocolate mini cakes are by far the best I've tasted. The scones were warm from the oven and when we ran out of the delicious lemon curd and whipped cream, more arrived at our table. The huge array of teas is displayed on the wall in a very organized manor so that we could tell what kind of teas were available. We had the choice of sharing a pot or having individual cups of tea which made it so easy with a group. Although there is a delightful tea-related decor, it's not too flowery or feminine for men to be comfortable. We're definitely going back for either lunch or high tea. read more

All Things Tea is a quaint and lovely place to quietly sip tea, eat warm, light, and tasty quiche while reconnecting with an old friend from school. Neither of us knew anything about tea. After some assistance on fragrance and ingredients, we chose one to enhance our tea experience. This was a destination point not close to either of us but I wish it was just around the corner. They, of course, sell tea in bulk so the Twilight tea with peppermint and ginger that I'm sipping right now came home with me along with a slice of scrumptious pumpkin cake. Highly recommend. This is a wonderfully simple and informative and small tea shop. The proprietor serves a high tea as well as singular items from the menu. I love the chicken salad (no mayo) wrapped in rice paper (gluten free!). Donna, the owner, has been trained by two tea masters, one from Japan and also one from India. She works with a health practitioner and has helped me with my stomach and energy level. No one can take the place of your doctor but I love the medicinal value of tea. This is not a herb shop but there are over 50 huge tins of tea on the wall. The chef makes the most delicious food that is simple and pure. Scones and tarts abound as well as most any type of teapot or tool you require for purchase. Donna has a regular following, and is friendly but also sensitive to each customer's style. She would never push information onto anyone. If you do not ask questions you will not be force fed info. You may be asked if there is anything else, or if you seem particularly interested in tea, you may be offered other items with pure intentions of serving you. read more

This place is pretty cool. It has that fussy doll-house tea room look that you kind of expect of a tea room. You can order first-quality teas and they're served at the proper temperature and steeped properly. They have food available. The quiche is really good. It's crustless and has good flavors, albeit it could use some salt. One thing I like especially is the atmosphere -- that is the clientelle. It isn't the madhouse that Starbucks or Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf can become, with 10 ladies with strollers coming in and taking over the place, or the local bible club monopolizing an entire table. There's no big screen TV or emo music playing either. Indeed, it is a nice place to relax and have an adult cup of tea and quiet conversation. Also, the person behind the counter knows what they're talking about. What's not to like? I'd give five stars if they had Iced Tropical Passion ready to pour every day. This place keeps exceeding my expectations. I took my 88 year old blind grandmother, who was in a wheelchair, in the other afternoon for lunch and tea. As we approached the door, the staff had it opened it for us and Donna was getting a table ready to accomodate us. Donna and the staff were so wonderful and helpful to my grandmother. Was very disappointed. Made a reservation the day before for myself and 4 children (ages 11-4), two of which were celebrating their birthdays. They were so excited and all dressed up, ready to enjoy a tea party. As soon as we walked in I noticed it was filled and there was no seating inside. But assumed they would seat us outside where there were open tables. They did not. I was finally approached by a woman and let her know we had reservations. She proceeds to tell me, "Oh I am sorry, I emailed you. We're closed for a private bridal shower." This email that was sent was sent the morning of, which obviously I did not think to check my email before leaving. Any serious business owner would have cancelled reservations with a phone call which I did not receive and she did note that by saying, " I should have called you huh? ". She did offer to give us a discount if we come in another day but after that large lack of professionalism and the look on the children's faces as we were turned away I told her, "No, thank you. I recently hosted my daughter-in-law -to- be's Bridal Shower Tea at my home last weekend. Donna, "All Things Tea" owner, helped me from beginning to end. She helped me with the Agenda, Menu items and guided me through the process. I've had Afternoon Tea many times at the restaurant, but had no experience planning and hostessing one in my home. Erin and Susan, two of Donna's well-trained and outstanding servers helped me the day of the Shower. They were meticulous and efficient. Best of all, Erin & Susan were very kind and helpful to our guests. Donna suggested a White Peach iced-tea, a lovely English Breakfast (her special blend) for our first round and a refreshing Rooibos blend for the second round. Donna's team prepared (on-site) chicken curry & classic cucumber cream cheese savories. The cucumber cream cheese was light and creamy. For sweets, Donna's baker prepared lemon curd & blueberry tarts. My guests have emailed, texted, called and written notes about how lovely and unique our Bridal Tea experience was. If you're craving tea during the day in Camarillo, All Things Tea should be your destination. The best way I can describe this store is quaint. I visited this location for the first time a few days ago during my lunch hour and I couldn't be more pleased. The ladies behind the counter were so nice and attentive. I ordered a sandwich, tea, and a small flourless chocolate cake for dessert. The tea was perfectly steeped and had great flavor, the sandwich was small, but you could taste the quality, and the cake was very rich and delicious. Above all, the customer service here is just amazing. The owner was there smiling and working first hand with the patrons and the other woman was so sweet and very accommodating. I look forward to visiting them again and getting information on how I can switch to loose leaf teas at home!
